Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman siswa tentang materi bangun datar yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika, salah satu penyebabnya adalah penggunaan media dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa adalah dengan menggunakan alat peraga geoboard. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada luas keliling dan luas bangun datar dengan menggunakan media geoboard. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilakukan dalam dua kali pertemuan, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di salah satu SDN yang ada di Kota Cimahi yang berjumlah 10 orang. Desain penelitian ini adalah One group Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pretest dan posttest yang berjumlah 5 soal. Uji yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dan uji t. Hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari nilai rata-rata tes belajar siswa sebelum dan sebelum menggunakan media geoboard yaitu 27 dan 65. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh, data yang diperoleh berdistribusi normal dengan hasil uji t diperoleh thitung sebesar 28,502 dengan signifikansi taraf = 5% = 0,05 dan ttabel = 0,45, maka thitung ttabel. Jadi dapat dikatakan H0 ditolak maka dapat dikatakan penggunaan media geoboard meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi bangun datar. Kata Kunci: Media Geoboard, Matematik, Siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Primary school teachers are required to be proficient in compiling learning tools. Based on the results of the observations, it was found that some teachers were not proficient in developing integrated thematic learning tools based on special models to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The purpose of this Community Service  (CS) is to improve the ability of teachers to compile integrated thematic learning tools based on the Interactive-Compensatory model and implement them in learning in their respective classes. The method used in the implementation of this CS is descriptive. The steps taken in implementing this CS are as follows: (1) Socialization, (2) initial observation (in the form of open interviews), (3) Implementation, (4) Checking learning tools and simulations (samples) of narsum modeling, (5) ) Implementation of learning with the recommended device (2 meetings), (6) Invoice in the form of documents from students, (7) Final evaluation. The results of this CS found that integrated thematic learning tools based on the Interactive-Compensatory model that was trained for SDN Cingcin 1 teachers were useful for improving the ability of teachers to design a special learning device to develop reading comprehension skills. This is evidenced by the results of the implementation in the field obtained an average percentage of more than 60% increase. Some things that must be considered in the application of this learning tool are the availability of supporting books and parental support

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties experienced by most students in solving problems in learning, the difficulty of working together because they do not want to share knowledge with each other, and lack of confidence in presenting in front. One way to improve these skills is by implementing discovery learning. However, discovery learning has a weakness in efficiency in managing learning so that it requires gamification as a solution in managing learning. The purpose of this study is to improve 21st century skills in grade IV students of SD Evans Indonesia Kota Bangun so that they can become a foundation of character so that they are ready to face challenges in the 21st century. This research method is carried out qualitatively. The data collection and analysis techniques are carried out using the Miles & Huberman model including (1) Data collection through literature studies and observations; (2) Data reduction in the form of observation tables; (3) Data presentation in the form of scripts; and (4) Drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students can solve problems in learning through critical and creative thinking skills, communicate and collaborate very well and can present confidently in front of the class so that the application of discovery learning with the concept of gamification can improve 21st century skills. These findings indicate that a fun and challenging learning approach can encourage students to become learners to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of technology-based educational media, specifically those aligned with cognitive learning theory, in improving the mathematical concept comprehension of fifth-grade students. As society advances technologically, it becomes imperative for educators to incorporate these tools into their teaching practices. This integration aims to develop more captivating and creative learning resources that actively engage students and facilitate their acquisition of knowledge. The broader aspiration is that by utilizing technology in mathematics education, the subject will become a preferred discipline for students, thereby dispelling the common perception that mathematics is intimidating and inherently challenging. This study employed a descriptive research methodology. Data collection involved two main techniques: direct observation of classroom activities and assessment through learning outcome tests. The research sample consisted of 13 fifth-grade students enrolled at SDN 07 2X11 Kayutanam. The results of the study demonstrated a favorable outcome regarding the use of cognitive theory-oriented technology media in enhancing fifth-grade students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This suggests that such technological integration can indeed cultivate a more enjoyable and stimulating learning environment, encouraging students to participate actively in their educational journey. In conclusion, this research provides strong evidence that the mathematical concept comprehension of fifth-grade students can be significantly improved through the strategic implementation of technology media grounded in cognitive theory.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the constructivist approach to build understanding among sixth-grade students at SDIT Ar-Rayu. The constructivist approach emphasizes that knowledge is not obtained passively but is actively constructed by students through direct experiences, exploration, social interaction, and reflection on the learning processes they undergo, particularly in the IPAS subject on the six continents of the world. In this learning model, the teacher acts as a facilitator who creates an open learning environment that supports students’ active engagement. This study used a descriptive method with data collection techniques including classroom observation, interviews, and documentation throughout the learning process. With a total of 23 students, the results showed that 87% of students became more active in the learning process, 82% demonstrated increased curiosity, and 78% were able to connect new knowledge with previous experiences. Learning strategies such as problem-based learning, small group discussions, experiments, and open-ended questioning encouraged students to think critically, express their opinions, and develop more meaningful understanding of the lesson content. In addition, 85% of students showed improvement in social skills such as collaboration and communication. The teacher played a key role as a facilitator in designing meaningful activities and promoting student exploration. Therefore, it can be concluded that the consistent and well-planned implementation of the constructivist approach is effective in improving the quality of students' understanding and creating a student-centered learning process.

Abstract

The research aims to test the effect of discovery learning on mathematical reasoning and analyse the differences in impact based on elementary school students' self-efficacy level. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test control group type design. The research sample consisted of 120 elementary school students randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group was given treatment for eight meetings using the Discovery Learning model, while the control group followed normal learning. The instruments used included a mathematical reasoning test and a self-efficacy questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test to determine the effect of the learning model, as well as one-way ANOVA to analyse differences in influence based on the level of self-efficacy. The results showed that the Discovery Learning model significantly improved students' mathematical reasoning skills with a value of <0.001. In addition, there was a significant difference in the acquisition of mathematical reasoning skills based on students' self-efficacy level. These findings indicate the importance of considering academic self-confidence factors in designing effective mathematics learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang Pengaruh Program Gerakan Literasi Membaca dan Menulis (Gemmas) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Baca Tulis Siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan pra eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang termasuk memiliki nilai kategori rendah pada kemampuan baca tulis sehingga penelitian ini dikatakan sebagai penelitian purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes (pretest – posttest), selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu berupa uji Paired Sample Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa program Gemmas memiliki pengaruh yang efektif terhadap kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Hegarmanah yaitu persentase N-Gain sebesar 59,13% > 76% memiliki kategori Cukup Efektif yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungannya. Dan dapat dilihat dari uji korelasi (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.
