Abstract

The implementation of Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum necessitates a comprehensive understanding of student characteristics to support personalized learning experiences. This study explores the evaluation of student characteristics, assessment instruments, and their application in improving the learning process within the Merdeka Curriculum framework.To examine the evaluation of student characteristics, various assessment instruments, factors influencing instrument selection and application, and the benefits of evaluations in enhancing the learning process. This qualitative study employs a systematic literature review. The research steps include: 1) Collecting relevant literature from academic databases, focusing on journal articles, books, and government regulations related to the Merdeka Curriculum and student assessment; 2) Analyzing collected materials using content analysis techniques; 3) Synthesizing key themes and findings; 4) Validating results through data source triangulation and peer review. The study identifies key student characteristics for assessment, including cognitive abilities, learning readiness, motivation, learning styles, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills. Various assessment instruments are discussed, such as standardized tests, evaluation scales, performance-based assessments, interviews, and observations. Factors influencing instrument selection include assessment goals, student characteristics, and available resources. The benefits of student characteristic evaluations include informing adaptive instruction, providing targeted support, and monitoring student progress. Effective evaluation of student characteristics is crucial for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and supporting student-centered learning in Indonesia. The study emphasizes the need for a shift towards process-oriented assessment and highlights the importance of collaboration among educational stakeholders to create an inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To find out how the use of a guided discovery model assisted by interactive e-modules can increase students' understanding of concepts. (2) To determine the increase in students' understanding of concepts after using the guided discovery model assisted by interactive e-modules. The subjects of this research were all 33 students in class VIII-3. The first procedure of this research is to give an initial test to students, in order to see students' ability to understand initial concepts, the second is to carry out learning using a guided discovery model assisted by interactive e-modules with rectangular material. The research consisted of 2 cycles with a teaching process of 4 meetings, where after 2 meetings in each cycle a concept understanding test was given to see students' concept understanding abilities. The form of questions for each test is a description. Before the test is tested, it is first validated by a validator. In the initial test, students' conceptual understanding abilities were in the very poor category with an average of 29, where no students experienced the level of learning completeness. After the implementation of cycle I, the level of students' ability to understand concepts was in the poor category with an average of 57.93 and 5 students (15.15%) reached the level of learning completeness. In the implementation of cycle II, the level of students' ability to understand concepts was in the very good category with an average of 87.31 and 30 students (90.90%) reaching the criteria for completion. The G value on the gain index is 0.70035 in the high category, as well as the overall indicator criteria for understanding concepts and observations are in the good category (61-80%). Based on the research analysis, it is clear that the use of a guided discovery model assisted by interactive e-modules can improve the ability to understand concepts in class VIII students.

Abstract

Berdasarkan kondisi latar belakang masalah, diperoleh beberapa poin penting: 1) Literasi sains merupakan keterampilan yang sangat diperlukan di abad ke-21, 2) Belum ada pengembangan bahan ajar IPA di SD yang berbasis Etnosains, 3) Kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa PGSD masih rendah, 4) Perkuliahan masih berfokus pada teori dan konsep saja, dan 5) Hasil analisis kurikulum yang dilakukan oleh program studi bertujuan menghasilkan lulusan yang unggul dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi serta kearifan lokal secara nasional pada tahun 2030. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan produk dan melakukan uji coba kelayakan bahan ajar pembelajaran IPA SD berbasis Etnosains untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa PGSD FIP UNIMED. Penelitian ini menggunakan Model 4-D, yang meliputi empat tahap pengembangan: tahap pendefinisian (Define), tahap perencanaan (Design), tahap pengembangan (Develop), dan tahap penyebaran (Disseminate). Selain menghasilkan produk bahan ajar, penelitian ini juga memberikan pengalaman bagi mahasiswa dan dosen dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis Etnosains untuk meningkatkan literasi sains. Penilaian kelayakan isi materi menunjukkan hasil sebesar 86,61% (Valid/Layak), kelayakan tampilan dan teknologi sebesar 81,50% (Valid/Layak), serta aspek kepraktisan sebesar 86,30% (Valid/Layak). Efektivitas produk, berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test, menunjukkan hasil sebesar 82,55%. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas, bahan ajar ini sangat layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of web-based mathematics learning media to improve students' reasoning skills and self-efficacy, 1 and improve students' reasoning skills and self-efficacy. This type of research is Thiagarajan's development research, namely the 4-D model. The subjects in this study were 30 students of MAN 1 Medan Class X-18. Research results; The web-based mathematics learning media developed has met the valid and practical criteria in terms of material, appearance, interactivity, and ease of use. This eligibility was obtained based on the results of validation by material experts, media experts, as well as the results of limited trials and extensive trials conducted on students. This learning media has proven effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning skills. This is due to a significant increase in mathematical reasoning ability scores after students used the developed learning media compared to before using the media. The use of web-based mathematics learning media also makes a positive contribution to improving students' reasoning and self-efficacy. Student participants showed increased confidence in their ability to understand and solve mathematical problems.

Abstract

This study aims to create a high-quality Flipped Classroom Model-based learning device to improve mathematical literacy and learning independence of seventh grade junior high school students on data centralization measurement material. This research method is a development research of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) method. The results of this study are that the Flipped Classroom Model-based learning device is valid and practical; students' mathematical literacy skills increased by 0.65 which is classified as moderate; students' independent learning abilities increased by 0.23 which is classified as moderate. The Flipped Classroom Model is effective for learning Data Centralization Measurement. The Flipped Classroom Model functions well for learning data centralization measurements. More than 75% of learning objectives were achieved, more than 85% of students scored at least 75, more than 85% of students responded positively to the flipped classroom model-based learning device, and the use of time on the learning device did not exceed regular learning hours.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively mathematically, defined as the capacity to generate novel, diverse, and valuable mathematical ideas or solutions to problems with fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, is a crucial skill in facing the challenges of the 21st century. However, a comprehensive understanding of the influencing factors is still limited. This systematic review aims to integrate and synthesize current research on factors influencing mathematical creative thinking abilities from a multidimensional perspective. A systematic search method was conducted on the Scopus database for studies published between 2019 and 2024. The results show the complexity of interactions between cognitive (thinking style, analogical reasoning, computational thinking), affective (self-efficacy, attitudes towards mathematics, self-regulated learning), and contextual (learning approaches, technology integration, background) factors from the 31 articles analyzed. cultural background) in influencing mathematical creativity. The analysis also revealed differences in influencing factors between levels of education from junior high school to college. These results stress how important it is to look at math creativity as a whole. They also have important implications for how math is taught and for future research, such as the need for longitudinal studies and the creation of integrative theoretical models

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21 menuntut pendekatan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada penguasaan prosedural, tetapi juga pada pemahaman konseptual yang mendalam, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan transfer pengetahuan ke berbagai konteks kehidupan. Artikel ini membahas rancangan pembelajaran matematika berbasis pendekatan deep learning, bukan dalam konteks kecerdasan buatan, melainkan sebagai pendekatan pedagogis yang mengintegrasikan tiga prinsip utama: meaningful (bermakna), mindful (sadar-reflektif), dan joyful (menyenangkan). Pembelajaran bermakna dibangun melalui aktivitas kontekstual dan soal terbuka yang mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan situasi dunia nyata. Pembelajaran yang reflektif dan sadar proses difasilitasi melalui diskusi, refleksi metakognitif, dan evaluasi. Sementara itu, suasana belajar yang menyenangkan diciptakan melalui partisipasi aktif, eksplorasi bebas, dan pengakuan terhadap berbagai cara berpikir siswa. Kerangka teori mencakup konstruktivisme, teori transfer dan metakognisi, serta evaluasi berbasis proses. Implementasi pendekatan ini mengharuskan transformasi peran guru sebagai fasilitator, kurikulum yang fleksibel dan berorientasi pada eksplorasi makna, serta lingkungan belajar yang suportif dan kolaboratif. Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan deep learning dengan prinsip meaningful, mindful, dan joyful dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, memperdalam pemahaman, serta membangun sikap positif terhadap matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui bagaimana model kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan video dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 37 Medan. (2) mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan pemecahann masalah matematis siswa melalui model kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) berbantuan video di kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (action research). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 37 Medan yang berjumlah 30 siswa dan objek pada penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) berbantuan Video pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi aktivitas guru dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dapat meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran kooperatif think-pair-share berbantuan video. Hal ini dapat dilihat dilihat dari persentase ketuntasan klasikal kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada tes awal sebesar 3,33% (1 siswa tuntas) meningkat menjadi 46,67% (14 siswa tuntas) pada siklus I dan meningkat kembali menjadi 86,67% (26 siswa tuntas) pada siklus II; (2) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalaha matematis siswa dari sebelum diberikan pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran think pair share berbantuan video ke siklus I termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 0,34. Kemudian peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dari pembelajaran siklus I ke siklus II termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 0,48. Hasil observasi guru meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II dari 79,82% menjadi 85,08%. Dengan demikian, siswa memiliki respon positif terhadap pembelajaran melalui model think pair share berbantuan video sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan video pembelajaran di kelas IX SMP dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa setelah menerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan video pembelajaran di kelas IX SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi aktivitas guru dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dapat meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan video pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa pada tes awal yaitu 15,625% (5 siswa tuntas) meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 53,125 (17 siswa tuntas) dan meningkat kembali pada siklus II menjadi 93,75% (30 siswa tuntas). Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dari sebelum diberikan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan video pembelajaran ke siklus I termasuk kategori sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 0,37. Kemudian peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II termasuk pada kategori sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 0,49. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru meningkat dari 2,8 pada siklus I dengan kategori baik meningkat menjadi 3,45 pada siklus II dengan kategori sangat baik.
