Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of bi’ah lugawiyyah in the Faculty of Arabic Language, analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of implementation, and analyze the role of bi’ah lugawiyyah in improving students’ Arabic language skills. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach and the subjects were lecturers and ten students of the Faculty of Arabic Language, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Brunei Darussalam. Data collection techniques used participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study revealed that the implementation of bi’ah lugawiyyah in the Faculty of Arabic Language, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Brunei Darussalam, which includes the obligation to use Arabic in class, direct teaching methods (thariqah mubasyarah), and the Mahrajan al-Lughah al-Arabiyah program, has proven effective in improving students’ Arabic language skills, both listening skills (maharah istima’), speaking skills (maharah kalam), reading skills (maharah qira’ah), and writing skills (maharah kitabah). The supporting factors for implementing bi’ah lugawiyyah are a conducive educational environment, cooperation between students and lecturers, and competent educators. Furthermore, there are inhibiting factors such as minimal mastery of Arabic vocabulary and rules, lack of self-confidence, and difficulty understanding the material. The overall implementation of bi’ah lugawiyyah has a role in providing significant stimulus in forming authentic and natural Arabic language characters and habits among students.

Abstract

Children with special needs (CSN) often face challenges in accessing education, healthcare, and social participation. Physiotherapy can be an effective intervention to help CSN reach their full potential. Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (NSRI) is a structured intervention approach that aims to promote the integration and maturation of the nervous system in CSN. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the experiences and perspectives of parents and therapists regarding the effectiveness of NSRI in improving the motor, sensory, and cognitive skills of CSN. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observation with 10 participants (6 parents and 4 physiotherapists). Results: Participants reported positive outcomes following NSRI intervention, including improvements in motor skills, sensory processing, and attention regulation. The individualized and holistic nature of NSRI was appreciated by both parents and therapists. Conclusion: NSRI may be a promising therapeutic approach for a wide range of special needs. More research is needed to determine the optimal dosage and duration of NSRI intervention.

Abstract

Currency buying and selling or better known as forex trading, is a business field that lures large profits with minimal effort. This is what attracts the Muslim community to get involved in this business. This thesis aims to analyze the swap free feature used by trading at the FBS broker, in which FBS claims that the swap free feature is considered sufficient to consider trading at an FBS broker in accordance with the provisions of the Shari'ah. The method used is the library research method. The data were analyzed from the Al-quran, Hadith, fiqh books, books, the internet, as well as the writings of classical and modern Islamic economics scholars. The aspect examined in this thesis is the swap free feature at the FBS broker, then collided with MUI DSN Fatwa No. 28 / DSN-MUI / III / 2002 to find out that trading with the FBS broker is in accordance with the shari'ah rules. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the swap free feature only deals with the interest or commission arising from an overnight open order so that traders do not get a discount or additional from the overnight order. The law of forex transactions at the FBS broker is not in accordance with the MUI DSN Fatwa Number 28 / DSN-MUI / III / 2002, because the trading system as a whole is still the same without activating this feature. Namely, such as taking advantage of currency exchange rate fluctuations, being able to take advantage of leverage / margin, and also carrying out a short selling strategy.

Abstract

This research investigates the challenges in implementing the human resource (HR) fulfillment policy at the Regional General Hospital of Prof. Dr. H.M. Anwar Makkatutu, focusing on the application of the Workload Indicator Staff Need (WISN) method and the analysis of crucial influencing factors. Employing a mixed-methods research design with a cross-sectional approach, this study involved 15 heads of departments as participants. Data were collected through interviews and document analysis. The research findings revealed that several work units experienced a high workload and staff shortages. The suboptimal implementation of WISN was attributed to an incomplete identification of productive activities, the use of estimated data, and the absence of official policy guidelines regarding HR calculation. Additionally, factors such as connection-based recruitment practices, political dynamics, and internal interests also impacted HR fulfillment. Overall, this research concludes that the implementation of the HR fulfillment policy using WISN at the Regional General Hospital of Prof. Dr. H.M. Anwar Makkatutu has not reached its full potential due to technical constraints in the application of WISN and the strong influence of organizational contextual factors. These research findings are relevant not only to the hospital context in Indonesia but also provide important insights for other countries facing similar issues in health HR management, particularly regarding the influence of non-technical factors and data validity in the implementation of the WISN method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding EM4 probiotics in various doses to commercial feed on the growth of jatimbulan tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L). Probiotics are known to play a role in increasing digestive efficiency, nutrient absorption, and maintaining the health of the fish's digestive tract, so they are expected to support optimal growth. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, namely: P0 (control/without probiotics), P1 (5 ml EM4/kg feed), P2 (7 ml EM4/kg feed), and P3 (11 ml EM4/kg feed), each with four replications. The parameters observed were the growth in length and weight of jatimbulan tilapia during the maintenance period. The results showed that the administration of EM4 probiotics at certain doses was able to provide a significant effect on the growth of tilapia compared to the control treatment. Treatment P2 (7 ml/kg feed) provided the best growth results compared to other doses, both in terms of increasing length and body weight. Meanwhile, administering probiotic doses that are too low (P1) or too high (P3) tends to be less effective in supporting optimal growth. This is thought to be due to the disruption of the microbial balance in the digestive tract when the probiotic dosage is incorrect. This research provides useful information for Jatimbulan tilapia cultivation practices, particularly regarding the use of probiotics to increase growth efficiency. Using the correct probiotic dosage can be a strategy to increase the productivity and sustainability of freshwater fish farming.
