Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of students’ mistake in solving Newton law question of SMP Negeri 4 Teluk Keramat using Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) approach for remediation. Design of research was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest. Data  was collecting by using 5 essay question. The sample in this research was class VIII A. The sample was chosen by using intact group technic which done by giving pre-test to class VIII A-VIII D. There were 19 students’ for every class. Based on the result, the decrease of  all student’s  mistake was about 61,74%, there was mistake difference in solving questions significantly between before and after remediation ( and there was significant mistake difference observed by the term of mistake  Based on effect size calculation was 0,66 (medium). Students’ mistake remediation in solving questions using AIR approach was expected to be used as on alternative for remediation activity to  solve students’ mistake.Keywords: Remediation, mistake, Auditory Intellectually Repetition, Newton’s law

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil  belajar siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match berbantuan media flipchart. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak di kelas VIII F dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dengan tingkat keberhasilan untuk setiap siklus minimal 70% dari jumlah siswa mampu memperoleh nilai lebih besar atau sama dengan 70 pada tes hasil belajar siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengukuran berupa tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 10,72% dengan perolehan hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 71,42% dan siklus II sebesar 82,14%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match berbantuan media Flipchart dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran pemantulan cahaya. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini sebaiknya dirancang dengan persiapan memvariasikan kartu Make a Matchnya dan media flipchart sebaik mungkin demi ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi yang akan dipelajari. Kata Kunci : Kooperatif Tipe Make A Match, Flipchart   Abstract : This classroom action research aimed to improve the learning outcomes in the sub-material of Light Reflection through the flip chart assisted cooperative learning model of Make a Match type. The research was conducted at Junior High School (SMP) 6 Pontianak in the class VIII F with 28 students. The research was conducted in two cycles, each with a rate of success at least 70% of the number of students capable of getting a high score or equal to 70 on the student learning outcome test. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests and observation sheets of instructional activities. The research findings indicated that there was an improvement in the student learning outcomes from the first to the second cycle as much as 10.72%, with the result of the first cycle of 71.42% and the second cycle 82.14%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the flip chart assisted cooperative learnig model of Make a Match type was able to improve the student learning outcome in the instruction of light reflection. The application of this model should be designed by preparing the Make a Match  cards and flip chart as well as possible so as to attract students’ attention to the learning material. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah dengan kepuasan kerja guru, iklim organisasi sekolah dengan kepuasan kerja guru, Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SMP Negeri Kota Pontianak yang terdiri dari Pontianak Selatan, Pontianak Timur, Pontianak Barat, Pontianak Utara, Pontianak Kota dan Pontianak Tenggara yang berjumlah 820 orang. Pemilihan sekolah dimasing-masing kecamatan dilakukan berdasarkan cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 90 orang yang diambil secara proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah dan iklim organisasi sekolah serta hubungannya dengan kepuasan kerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Pontianak tergolong dalam kategori kuat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi kepala sekolah dan guru dalam hal meningkatkan kepuasan kerja guru, serta peneliti lainnya untuk memperdalam informasi tentang penelitian lain yang relevan.   Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional Kepala Sekolah, Iklim Organisasi. Abstract: This study aimed to assess the positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence principals with teacher job satisfaction, school organizational climate and job satisfaction of teachers, The population in this study is a Junior High School teacher in Pontianak which consists of South Pontianak, East Pontianak, Pontianak West, North Pontianak, Pontianak City  and Southeast Pontianak which amounts to 820 people. Election in  the  respective school districts conducted by cluster random sampling. The study sample as many as 90 people were taken proportionate stratified random sampling. The results show that emotional intelligence principals and school organizational climate and its relationship with job satisfaction of teachers Junior High School in Pontianak relatively strong category. The The technique of data analysis performed using descriptive The results of this study can be useful to principals and teachers in terms of increasing the job satisfaction of teachers, as well as other researchers to further information about other relevant research.   Key Word: Emotional Intelligence Principal, School Organizational.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know effectiveness remediation using Concept Attainment instruction model assisted Mind Map. The research method that used is a pre-experimental with one group pretest posttest design. This research involve 9 students grade X SMA Santun Untan Pontianak that choosed at random used intact group technique. Instrument that used were test and non test. Test in the form of pretest and posttest multiple choice with three answer choice that enclosed with reason while non test in the form interview. Statistic test that used is Wilcoxon test, obtained Tkhitung(0,0)<Ttabel(6) so that occur significant misconception difference. The average reduction misconception of student is 40,5%. Calculation effect size use Gene Glasss formula, obtained in the amount of 3,22 and its amount more than 0,7 so that its effectiveness is high. Students response obtained from interview. Student give positive response on an average Concept Attainment instruction model assisted Mind Map. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest Posttest. Penelitian ini melibatkan 9 siswa kelas X SMA Santun Untan Pontianak yang dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik intact group. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Tes berupa tes awal dan tes akhir pilihan ganda dengan tiga pilihan jawaban yang disertai alasan sedangkan non tes berupa wawancara. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon diperoleh Tkhitung (0,0) < Ttabel (6) sehingga terjadi perbedaan miskonsepsi yang signifikan. Rata-rata penurunan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 40,5%. Perhitungan effect size menggunakan formula Gene Glass, diperoleh effect size sebesar 3,22 dan besarnya lebih dari 0,7 sehingga efektifitasnya tinggi. Respon siswa diperoleh dari hasil wawancara. Siswa merespon positif model pembelajaran Concept Attainment berbantuan Mind Map. Kata Kunci: Remediasi , Concept Attainment, Mind Map

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menafsirkan grafik kinematika siswa. Sampel penelitian ialah 55 siswa kelas X  SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Kakap. Enam butir soal tes diagnostik berbentuk pilihan ganda alasan terbuka mewakili tiga indikator kemampuan menafsirkan grafik kinematika yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Ditemukan bahwa kemampuan menafsirkan grafik kinematika siswa sebesar 19,09 % (tergolong rendah). Beberapa bentuk kesalahan penafsiran grafik kinematika adalah: a) pada grafik kecepatan, siswa menganggap percepatan negatif ketika posisi benda berada di bawah sumbu x (41,82%); b) siswa beranggapan grafik merupakan lintasan yang ditempuh benda (60,00%); c) siswa menganggap apabila kurva horizontal (searah sumbu x) maka kecepatan dan percepatan benda tetap (65,45%). Faktor penyebab kesalahan penafsiran grafik kinematika siswa disebabkan kemampuan konseptual dan kemampuan spasial siswa yang rendah. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menafsirkan grafik kinematika siswa. Kata Kunci : Deskripsi, Kemampuan Menafsirkan, Grafik Kinematika Abstract: This research aimed to find out student’s ability in interpreting kinematic graphs. Graphs interpreting which were used in this research 55 students in class X of  SMA N 3 Sungai Kakap were chosen as the sample. Six open-ended multiple choice items of diagnostic test represent three indicators of kinematic graphs interpreting. The result showed that the student’s interpreting kinematic graphs ability were 19,09 % (low category). Some kinematic graphs misinterpreting were: a) on the velocity graph, students assumed the acceleration was negative when the position of the objectis below the x-axis (41,82%); b) students assumed the graphs was the path by the object (60,00%); c) students assumed when the curve is horizontal (in the x-axis), the velocity and accelertion of the object were constant (65,45%). Kinematic graphs misinterpreting caused by the students’s conceptual and spatial ability were low. These findings are expected to be references to improve the students’s ability in kinematic graphs interpreting. Keywords : Descriptive, Interpreting Ability, Kinematic Graph

Abstract

  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan model pembelajaran guided discovery berbantuan LKS dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi perpindahan kalor di kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang berbentuk pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pre-test-post-test design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas X MIA 1 sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik intact group. Dari analisis data diperoleh temuan bahwa terjadi perubahan konseptual yang signifikan setelah diberikan remediasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari profil konsepsi siswa dan hasil perhitungan uji Mc Nemar secara total didapatkan χ2tabel (3,84) lebih kecil dari χ2hitung (4,29) untuk db = 1 dan α = 5%. Penerapan model pembelajaran guided discovery berbantuan LKS efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi perpindahan kalor di kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak dengan nilai effect size 0,42 (berkategori sedang). Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat dikembangkan dengan menggunakan LKS yang berbasis guided discovery serta merancang eksperimen sederhana untuk konsep yang abstrak agar mudah dipahami siswa. Kata kunci: Remediasi, miskonsepsi, guided discovery, perpindahan kalor Abstract: This research aimed to determine the effect of application of LKS assisted guided discovery to remediate students’ misconception on heat transfer subject at grade X SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. This research is experimental research which formed as One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research involved 25 students as research sample were selected by using the intact group technique. From the data analysis it is found that there is a significant conceptual change after being given remediation. It can be seen from students’ conception profiles and Mc Nemar test calculation results obtained χ2tabel (3,84) is smaller than  χ2hitung (4,29) for db = 1 and α = 5%. The application of LKS assited guided discovery learning model is effective to remediate students’ misconceptions on heat transfer subject at grade X SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak with effect size 0,42 (medium category). The results are expected to be developed by using LKS based guided discovery and design a simple experiment of an abstract concept for the easy student’s understanding. Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to find out the effectiviness of quantum teaching method in remediation of students’ misconception in newton law material at SMP Negeri 3 Semparuk. Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design was used in this research. Sample of this research was students of VIII B class (n=24) who was choosen by intact group random sampling technique. This research used diagnostic test which consists of 8 multiple choise question with open reasoning. Based ondata analysis, the result as: the average decrease of misconceptions equal to 43,09%,  and the level effectiveness of remediation was in the middle (DQM=50,92%). Based on there results, it was expected that quantum teaching method can be used as an alternative remediation activities to overcome students’ misconception.Keywords: Misconception, Remediation, quantum teaching method, Newton’s law

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to test the effectiveness of Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) model to improve students learning result about heat in SMP N 22 Pontianak. The method of this research was quasi experimental nonequivalent control group. The samples of this research were all VII A students as experimental class and VII C students as control class that were selected through intact group technique. The instrument that was used consisted of 8 objective questions and 3 essai questions. The results of this research were: (1) The participants of the experiment class have improvement on the results of the study 31.17, higher compared with the control class of 17.58 . (2) There are differences of the study results from participant of experiment class and control class (.Sig 0.012<0.05] after the learning activities. (3) The SAVI learning effectiveness is 0.73 (category is moderate) in improving the study results of the participant compared to conventional learning. The implementation of Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) is expected to become an alternative in improving the results of the study from the participants on other physics teaching and learning materials.Keywords: Heat, Results study, Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual

Abstract

Salah satu nilai yang terkandung dalam sains (IPA) adalah nilai agama (religius). Nilai-nilai ini dapat dikembangkan dengan menyisipkannya dalam pembelajaran suatu topik atau konsep IPA tertentu di sekolah. Pembinaan nilai-nilai agama ini perlu dipupuk di lingkungan sekolah, salah satunya, untuk menghindari kehampaan spiritual dalam pendidikan sains di sekolah dan dunia ilmiah. Terkait dengan pembinaan nilai-nilai ini, peran guru di sekolah semakin penting di tengah-tengah keterbatasan dan kelangkaan buku-buku teks IPA yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai agama. Menyampaikan kebenaran adalah kewajiban kita semua, apalagi yang datangnya dari Sang Pencipta. Kata kunci : sains, nilai agama, sang pencipta

Abstract

Basis utama bagi munculnya kreativitas adalah penggunaan pengetahuan yang telah ada secara imaginatif (kreatif) untuk menghasilkan suatu produk yang baru, tak biasa, dan bermanfaat. Penafsiran suatu masalah dengan cara yang baru dan berbeda (restructuring) dan terciptanya proses inkubasi merupakan basis tambahan bagi munculnya kreativitas. Upaya peningkatan kreativitas dapat dilakukan guru melalui penerapan strategi brainstorming dan model synectics. Kata kunci : kreativitas, basis kreativitas, brainstorming, model synectics
