Abstract

The interactions in Indonesian early childhood classes are still traditionally done without using digital visuals. The impact is that the data obtained is difficult to be reexamined. Therefore, this paper focuses on how digital visual observation is applied in investigating the quality of teacher-child interactions, it is used to determine the context or individuals associated with interaction, the impact of teacher-child interactions on child development. Data was collected through observation on 6 teachers with the number of children was 15 children. The study found that visual data illustrates various features of teacher-child interaction. Digital video observation provides a holistic view on the process of interaction, dominance in teacher-child interactions, and the impact of interactions on children's development in documenting all features and processes of child development that cannot be captured through traditional observations. In particular, digital visual observation brings a new perspective and becomes an effective methodological tool for understanding teacher-child interactions.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model in Integrated Thematic Learning in Elementary Schools. The main focus of this study is to analyze the suitability of the syntax in the application of the problem-based learning model in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. Thematic learning in elementary schools is designed to improve and enrich the quality of education in a more enjoyable and meaningful way for students. The problem-based learning model is a learning model that can encourage students to actively participate in solving problems through a series of scientific method activities, so that the knowledge gained can be meaningful. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data sources were obtained through primary and secondary data, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model has not been carried out well and effectively in Grade VI at Langkat State Elementary School. There were inconsistencies in the PBL model's syntax or steps at certain stages, such as the teacher not clearly communicating the learning objectives, insufficiently encouraging student engagement in problem-solving, and not providing reflection at the end of the lesson. Furthermore, the students were less enthusiastic and focused, resulting in the learning objectives not being optimally achieved.

Abstract

The main problem underlying this research is the low learning interest of fifth-grade students at Tiara Private Elementary School, which is evident from their lack of interest and minimal activeness in thematic learning. This research aims to comprehensively describe the content of the Crossword Puzzle media, the implementation of the Crossword Puzzle media, and the impact of its use on students' learning interest. The method used is descriptive qualitative with 30 students and their fifth-grade homeroom teachers as subjects. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed narratively. The results show that the content of the Crossword Puzzle covers Indonesian, Science, and Mathematics materials with descending and horizontal questions that are in accordance with the thematic concept. The implementation of the Crossword Puzzle was carried out interactively and in groups, accompanied by discussions and feedback. Learning interest when the Crossword Puzzle media was applied to fifth-grade students experienced a significant increase. This increase is seen from the indicators of students' attention, involvement, and interest which are in the high category, while the aspect of feelings of pleasure reached the very high category. Overall, the level of students' learning interest is in the high category. Thus, this study shows that crossword puzzle media can be an effective learning alternative to increase students' interest in learning thematic learning.

Abstract

One of the relevant strategies to increase learning motivation is positive reinforcement, which is closely related to student motivation. Positive reinforcement is able to increase student involvement in group work through simple rewards, encouraging motivation, interest so that students are active in learning. The success of its implementation depends on the role of the teacher in designing contextual learning, such as the theme of a Clean Environment. The purpose of the research is to describe the implementation of positive reinforcement in the learning of IPA and Indonesian Language class IV SDN 060886 Medan, analyze the impact on learning motivation, and compare between subjects. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with a subject of 22 grade IV students. The results of this research have implications on several aspects, namely theoretical, practical, academic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Tari kreasi merupakan salah satu jenis tari yang diciptakan oleh manusia yang tidak terikat oleh aturan daerah atau tari kreasi tradisional, dan tertuang dalam tema, gerakan, kostum, maupun tata rias. Manfaat penting pembelajaran tari kreasi bagi anak usia dini selain bertujuan untuk menunjang pendidik secara umum diharapkan dapat merangsang kepekaan, pengalaman estetis dan kreativitas dalam menuangkan pengalamannya dalam bentuk tari. Pelaksanaan tari kreasi merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pengembangan kecerdasan kinestetik anak karena motorik anak berkembang dengan baik, motorik halus dan kelincahan tubuhnya, anak mampu membedakan gerakan, anak menjadi percaya diri saat berada di depan umum, mengembangkan hobi anak yaitu menari. Keterkaitan antara kecerdasan kinestetik dengan tari kreasi pada anak sangat berpengaruh pada gerakan tari, karena dengan gerakan tari kreasi anak akan mengeluarkan energi. Dengan gerakan tari tersebut anak akan mampu mengekspresikan dirinya melalui tari dan irama musik sehingga motorik kasar anak dapat berkembang. Hubungan antara gerak tari dengan kecerdasan kinestetik anak, yaitu gerak tari kreatif, sangat erat kaitannya dengan kecerdasan kinestetik anak, karena gerak anak menciptakan gerakan yang bermakna bagi anak, oleh karena itu apabila anak dapat menggerakkan sesuatu, maka akan tercipta kemampuan motorik anak menjadi lebih kreatif dan berkembang. Kecerdasan kinestetik juga dapat disebut sebagai kemampuan memadukan kinerja mental dan kinerja fisik untuk mencapai apa yang diharapkan.
