Abstract

This study aims to analyze the density of megabenthos in coral reef ecosystems in the waters of Perlang Village. This research was conducted in November 2019 in the waters of Perlang Village with the megabentos data collection method using the Bentos Belt Transect (BBT) method based on COREMAP CTI LIPI (2017) with 5 data collection stations. The results found 603 individuals consisting of 9 species from 4 megabenthos families in coral reef ecosystems. Species found at the study site are Diadema setosum, Diadema antillarium (Familli Deadematidae), Drupella cornus, Drupella rugosa (Family Murcidae), Trochus sp, Trochus conus, Tectus pyramis (Family Trochidae), Tridacna gigas, and Tridacna maxima (Family Tridacnidae) . The highest attendance percentage of all stations was obtained by Diadema setosum of 47.93% (289 people). Percentage of live coral cover from 5 observation stations ranged from 57.44% - 91.78%. Observation pensions that received the highest percentage of cover values were at pension 2 with 91.78% in the very good category.

Abstract

Women have an important role in the coastal community's family. The nutritional status of adult women is one of the determinants of the birth of a qualified national generation. Nutritional status can be analyzed by the BMI value, which is influenced by internal and external factors. This study aimeed to analyze the nutritional status of adult women on the coast of Rebo Village, Bangka Regency and to analyze the factors affecting the nutritional status of adult women on the coast of Rebo Village, Bangka Regency related to socio-economic conditions (income level, education level, daily activities).  This field research was conducted in May-August 2020. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling, 120 female respondents who came from different hamlets in Rebo village. Collecting data on nutritional status and socio-economic conditions using a closed questionnaire. The BMI value showed that 72 adult women have ideal body weight, while 48 people were not ideal. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that the level of education and the level of activity have an influence on the BMI value of adult women, while the income level does not affect the BMI value. Further research can be carried out by examining the dietary consumption patterns and health status of adult women. The results obtained can be used as a basis for making policies or programs to improve the welfare of coastal families in Rebo village, which have an impact on the ability to access the variety and quality of daily food.

Abstract

The potential of these mineral resources has caused mining activities in the rebo coast waters. Tin mining activities at sea cause problems for coral reef ecosystems and other marine biota. Efforts to overcome these problems include rehabilitation of ecosystems such as coral reef transplants and the creation and sinking of Fish Shelter in Rebo Coastal Waters. This study aims to determine the number of species and abundance of reef fishes in the Fish Shelter location and in the Natural Coral Reef of the Coral Waters of Rebo Beach and to analyze the comparison of coral fish abundance in the two locations. Data collection was carried out by the Belt Transect and Visual Census methods, while the coral reef data collection was carried out by the Line Intersept Transect (LIT) method. The results showed an abundance of reef fish at Station 1 on the Natural Coral Reef (NCR) consisting of 8 families and 16 species with a total of 110 individuals/ha and 10 families and 12 species with 125 individuals/ha at the Fish Shelter site. At station 2 the abundance of reef fish in the Natural Coral Reef (NCR) consists of 7 families and 12 species with a total of 120 individuals/ha and 10 families and 15 species with a total of 134 ind/ha at the Fish Shelter site. One way ANOVA test results at Station 1 comparisons of coral fish abundance at Fish Shelter and Natural Coral Reef locations with a significance value of 0.177, then H0 is accepted.

Abstract

This research was conducted from December 2021 to February 2022 in Balunijuk Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The method used primary and secondary data which was analyzed with a qualitative descriptive approach to policy and vaname shrimp culture. The results showed that designing sustainable development must follow the vision, mission, goals, policies, strategies, programs, to the implementation of activities. One of the priority policies related to food and nutrition action plans or food security was by utilizing marine resources. Food security by utilizing resources from the sea was known as the blue economy concept. Sustainable marine development policies required political effectiveness for the benefit of communities and ecosystems. The application of the blue economy concept with vaname shrimp cultivation in biofloc tarpaulin ponds technically required the measurement of standard parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonia (NH3), nitrite (NO2), nitrate (NO3), phosphate (PO4), TDS, brightness, depth, water temperature, salinity, and water pH. Water quality data showed that it could still be tolerated, did not exceed its carrying capacity, and was still in standard water conditions for aquaculture. The implementation of vaname shrimp cultivation in biofloc tarpaulin ponds could increase economic benefits in a sustainable manner, increase healthy products with environmentally friendly technological innovations using Probio_FmUBB probiotics, provide access to small-scale artisanal fisheries, and open market access.

Abstract

Fishery culture activity, by raising vannamei shrimp conducted by the Daarul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School at Balunijuk Village, is one of the blue economy concept applications. This community service activity was aimed at transferring knowledge dealing with vanname shrimp culture to Daarul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School. It is being carried out from March to October 2022 consisting of culture preparation, shrimp farming, feeding process, and pool water quality monitoring. This shrimp culture is located in a tarpaulin bioflock tank in the surrounding yard area of Daarul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School at Balunijuk Village, Bangka Belitung Province. A participatory method is delivered to emphasize the role and participation of the school administrator as participants in culturing the vannamei shrimp through a bioflock system using Probio_FmUBB technology. Results obtained during this activity indicate that participants are directed to be good manners of entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the knowledge transfer of farming the vannamei shrimp using a bioflock system can upgrade the knowledge of teachers (ustads) or the boarding school administrators. Participants are expressed to be skilled in preparing to build a 3-m rounded tank, making bioflock, stocking the shrimp fry process, farming the shrimps using a bioflock system with Probio_FmUBB technology, transporting seawater, operating electrical Genset, measuring and controlling water quality, and understanding feeding technique and theoretical knowledge of shrimp harvest. That knowledge enables to support of soft skills of students and teachers to stimulate new business for the boarding school.
