This study aims to develop a creative and critical learning model in which its effectiveness is tested in Bahasa Indonesia classes at the senior high school level. This study employed the Four D Thiagarajan method. The first stage is defined and completed by theoretical and empirical analysis. The theoretical analysis comprises the analysis of the related literature and previous studies. Meanwhile, the empirical analysis is done by analysing the problems, students’ characteristics, assignments, concepts, and the formulation of learning objectives. The second stage designs in which the learning model prototype is planned. The third stage is development, which includes developing and testing the prototype. The fourth stage is dissemination, in which the product is distributed. The final product is the syntax of the Bahasa Indonesia lesson in the senior high school level, which comprises 5M, namely ‘menstimulasi’ (to stimulate), ‘mengeksplorasi’ (to explore), ‘memberi respons’ (to give response), ‘memproduksi’ (to create), and ‘merefleksi’ (to reflect). Based on the testing, it is revealed that there is an increase in students’ scores of around 7.7 on a scale of 100. Therefore, it can be concluded that the creative and critical 5M learning is effective for implementation in Bahasa Indonesia classes at the senior high school level.

Abstract: The Language Development and Cultivation Agency (2012) explains that BIPA is an Indonesian language learning process targeted to foreigners who are interested in learning Indonesian for a specific purpose. The process of learning Indonesian in general cannot be equated with learning Indonesian for foreign speakers. The textbook used contains materials used for teachers in implementing the learning process. The materials cover knowledge, skills that students must learn to achieve goals by competency standards. Because that's the use of language that suits the students' abilities. The purpose of this research is to describe the topics in the teaching material "Let's Speak Indonesia: Come on Indonesian Language 1". The data were obtained from the teaching materials contained in the teaching materials "Let's Speak Indonesia: Let's Speak Indonesian 1". With the data collected, researchers get the topics in textbooks. Based on the analysis of the topics used, it can support the learning process in the classroom and contains actual topics such as the environment, human relations, events. Presentation of topics in the teaching materials is in the form of verbal and visual. With a variety of presentation forms, the topic can be conveyed well. Keywords: BIPA, textbook, topic Abstrak: Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa (2012) menjelaskan bahwa BIPA adalah proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang ditujukan kepada orang asing yang berminat mempelajari bahasa Indonesia untuk tujuan tertentu. Proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada umumnya tidak dapat disamakan dengan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur asing. Buku teks yang digunakan berisi materi yang digunakan untuk guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. Materi meliputi pengetahuan, keterampilan yang harus dipelajari siswa untuk mencapai tujuan sesuai standar kompetensi. Karena itulah penggunaan bahasa yang sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan topik-topik dalam bahan ajar “Ayo Bicara Indonesia: Ayo Bahasa Indonesia 1”. Data diperoleh dari bahan ajar yang terdapat pada bahan ajar “Ayo Bicara Indonesia: Mari Bicara Bahasa Indonesia 1”. Dengan data yang terkumpul, peneliti mendapatkan topik-topik dalam buku teks. Berdasarkan analisis topik yang digunakan dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran di kelas dan berisi topik aktual seperti lingkungan, hubungan manusia, peristiwa. Penyajian topik dalam bahan ajar dalam bentuk verbal dan visual. Dengan berbagai bentuk presentasi, topik dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. Kata kunci: BIPA, bahan ajar, topik

This study aims to investigate Indonesian child politeness through speech represented by the character Susanti in the animated film Upin-Ipin. The animated films Upin-Ipin are popular for children in Indonesian society. This film is considered to be interesting because it is a foreign animated film featuring Indonesian children's characters. Susanti is presented as a representation of Indonesian children in a multicultural society. Seeing this phenomenon, the researcher aims to further explore Susanti’s utterance in the context of politeness. This study focuses on examining Susanti's politeness based on Leech's politeness principles which consists of six maxims. The qualitative method used in this study utilizes a pragmatic approach as an analytical tool. The research data are utterances of Susanti which were collected from eight events in six episodes of the film. The data source was the six episodes uploaded by Les'copaqe YouTube channel. The results of the study show that Susanti's utterances tens to represent the maxim of wisdom. These results show that Susanti’s utterances represented the politeness of Indonesian children, especially in the preschool context, which was in accordance with the background of the character of Susanti. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menginvestigasi kesantunan anak Indonesia melalui tuturan yang direpresentasikan oleh tokoh Susanti dalam film animasi Upin dan Ipin. Film animasi Upin dan Ipin merupakan salah satu film animasi anak yang populer di masyarakat Indonesia. Film ini dikatakan menarik karena menjadi salah satu film animasi asing yang memunculkan karakter anak Indonesia. Tokoh Susanti dihadirkan sebagai representasi anak Indonesia dalam masyarakat multikultural. Melihat fenomena itu, penulis menelaah lebih lanjut tuturan tokoh Susanti dalam konteks kesantunan. Secara khusus, penelitian ini berfokus pada kesantunan tokoh Susanti berdasarkan prinsip kesantunan Leech yang terdiri atas enam maksim. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan pragmatik. Data penelitian adalah tuturan tokoh Susanti yang ditemukan dari delapan peristiwa di enam episode film Upin dan Ipintersebut. Sumber data diambil dari kanal Youtube @lescopaque. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, dari delapan peristiwa tutur tokoh Susanti, tuturan tokoh Susanti cenderung didominasi oleh maksim kebijaksanaan. Dari hasil tersebut ditemukan bahwa tuturan tokoh Susanti telah merepresentasikan kesantunan anak Indonesia, khusus dalam konteks prasekolah yang sesuai dengan latar belakang tokoh Susanti.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk budaya Jawa yang ada dalam film Kartini dengan menggunakan kajian pragmatik dan etnografi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian berupa tuturan lisan. Sumber data dalam penelitian yaitu penggalan peristiwa komunikasi antartokoh dalam film Kartini. Teknik pengumpulan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dokumentasi, simak dan catat. Tahapan untuk analisis adalah (1) peneliti menyimak bahasa lisan fim Kartini tersebut, (2) peneliti memahami makna tuturan lisan yang diujarkan para tokoh, (3) peneliti mengidentifikasi setiap tuturan objek yang diamati dalam film Kartini, (4) peneliti mencatat data yang didapatkan dalam tabel yang sudah disusun sebelumnya untuk mempermudah proses pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan tujuh bentuk budaya Jawa dalam film Kartini berupa aktivitas, silsilah panggilan, sistem kekerabatan dan organisasi sosial, ide, peralatan hidup dan tekhnologi, wujud kebudayaan sebagai system artefak, serta sistem religi. Unsur budaya yang terdapat dalam film Kartini tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai wujud kebudayaan yang sebagian besar harus tetap dilestarikan. Wujud kebudayaan tersebut bersifat penghormatan terhadap orang yang lebih tua, orang yang memiliki kedudukan lebih tingi, maupun kesopanan sosial masyarakat dalam bentuk tuturan maupun tingkah laku.

The purpose of this study was to expland the form of expressive speech and speech strategy by netizens from conflict of Israel-Palestina news on instagram. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods, especially by employing Searle’s theory of speech acts. Data in this reseach were word, phrases, clauses and sentences that represent the form of expressive speech and speech strategy. Based on the results of the study, it was found five types form of expressive speech, namely condolence speech, insinuating speech, angry speech, complaining speech, and humor speech and four types of speech strategy, namely strategy of speaking frankly without preamble, strategy of speaking speaking with positive politeness, strategy of speaking with negative preamble and the strategy speak vaguely. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the the form of expressive speech by netizens from Israel-Palestina news is a stimulus response from the news. The strategy of expressive speech caused by personality, pretension, and speaker purpose. The form of expressive speech determines the expressive speech strategy.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam buku ajar BIPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, gambar, foto, dan ilustrasi sesuai indikator nilai karakter Indonesia. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan beragam nilai karakter Indonesia. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah Buku Ajar BIPA Bahasa Indonesia 5 Bagi Penutur Asing. Data dikumpulkan dengan membaca keseluruhan isi buku, membuat catatan, mengklasifikasikan data, dan memberi deskripsi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mereduksi, menyajikan data, dan membuat simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan buku ajar BIPA memuat 14 nilai karakter, yaitu 1) religius, 2) toleransi, 3) disiplin, 4) kerja keras, 5) kreatif, 6) mandiri, 7) demokratis, 8) rasa ingin tahu, 9) semangat kebangsaan, 10) cinta tanah air, 11) menghargai prestasi, 12) peduli sosial, 13) bersahabat/komunikatif, dan 14) tanggung jawab. Buku Ajar BIPA Bahasa Indonesia 5 Bagi Penutur Asing memuat ragam nilai karakter Indonesia yang tersaji melalui kata, frasa, kalimat, gambar, foto, dan ilustrasi.

Learning Indonesian is very important for Thais who are interested in learning the language to meet the needs of the learners. In addition, the barriers to entry are very limited, resulting in the inability to attend face-to-face classes. Therefore, today's technology is very important in helping teachers and students study anywhere, anytime. This research aims to describe and illustrate the process of learning Indonesian for Thai speakers in Indonesia. The main focus is BIPA, which integrates with technology for Thai speakers. This research is motivated by Indonesia's increasingly high economic growth, which has caused the interest of multinational companies from Thailand to do business in Indonesia. In line with this, the interest and enthusiasm of Thai speakers in learning Indonesian is increasing. The method used in this research was qualitative with the Miles & Huberman interactive model data analysis technique. The data in this research were collected from observations of Indonesian language teaching activities from a sample group of students four Thai speakers who were not able to speak Indonesian yet, to be able to communicate with Indonesian people daily. The research results showed that learning was carried out by utilizing technology in the form of digital applications used in beginner-level BIPA learning, such as Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Canva, and GoodNote. It was discovered that integrating technology during learning activities can help in teaching, making it more comfortable and allowing to learn anywhere, at any time, and make learning effective. The obstacles in learning include the availability of signals to access learning media.

This study analyzes the expressive speech politeness of students and teachers at An-Nur Bululawang Vocational School, Malang Regency. This study aims to determine the form of expressive speech politeness and the function of students' expressive speech politeness toward teacher speech at school. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. This type of research is a type of pragmatic research. The data in this study are in the form of speech between students and teachers in expressive politeness at school. The data source for this research was in the form of recordings of students' and teachers' speeches, which were then transcribed in written form. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and recording techniques. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman interactive model in general, covering three stages, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, and (3) data presentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the forms of expressive speech between students and the teacher, namely declarative speech forms, imperative speech forms, and interrogative speech forms, and (2) the function of expressive speech politeness between students and teachers, namely the politeness function of expressive speech pleasure, thank you, apologize, complain, greet, praise, tease, and tease. The use of expressive politeness between students and teachers at school is used relevantly according to the context, and this expressive speech can help students convey emotional feelings to the teacher so that in the learning process, they easily achieve learning goals and can motivate students' development while at school.

The BIPA Sahabatku Indonesia textbook is popular teaching material among the BIPA community. This is because of easy access to download and use it. Based on this context, this study aims to explore Indonesian insights from textbooks. As a book initiated by Language Development and Development Materials, the textbook has an urgency to be researched as a description of Indonesian content applied by the author of the book. The method used in this study was qualitative with a content analysis approach. The data for this research are seven series of my best-friend Indonesia textbooks uploaded on the official website of the BIPA Language Agency. Data analysis techniques were carried out through the stages of reading, marking, recording, rechecking, and revising. The analysis model used was interactive analysis. The results of the research are Indonesian insights, which are represented through 10 units in a series of textbooks. Each unit represents an Indonesian insight appropriate for the topic of discussion. The Indonesian insight is represented through authentic socio-cultural practices, art, literature, history, politics, education, environmental issues, and so on as Indonesian identity. These findings have implications for the concept that BIPA, which contains teaching materials, can be used as soft diplomacy to introduce Indonesia to the world community through BIPA learning, which contains Indonesian insights.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi materi kemampuan berbicara dalam buku ajar BIPA 3 edisi 2019, "Sahabatku Indonesia". Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan analisis dokumen, penelitian ini meneliti materi keterampilan berbicara di 10 unit pembelajaran. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konten tersebut sebagian besar menampilkan praktik wawancara, latihan tanya jawab, dan aktivitas respons pribadi. Penekanan ini menunjukkan fokus utama pada kompetensi berbicara transaksional, dengan perhatian terbatas yang diberikan pada kompetensi berbicara interaksional dan kinerja.
