Abstract

This research analyzes the role of the Black Sea Grain Initiative as a peacebuilding effort in the Russia Ukraine conflict. The Black Sea Grain Initiative On February 24, 2022, the armed conflict between the Russian Federation and the Ukraine between the Russian Federation and Ukraine was escalating. This would disrupt wheat production and exports and accelerate price increases in developing countries that depend on imports imports as Russia and Ukraine are major wheat exporters. To allow the export of grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine through the secure maritime corridors from Ukraine's three main ports, Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Yuzhny/Pivdennyi on the Black Sea to the rest of the world, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN announced this initiative on July 22, 2022. The initiative in Istanbul established the Joint Coordination Center (JCC), which consists of senior representatives from the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN. This research uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature studies and document analysis from several books, journals, articles, websites. This research uses the perspective of Pluralism and the theory of Peace Building The results of the paper indicate that the Black Sea Grain Initiative was created to regulate food supply to reduce the impact of conflict. With the entry of Ukrainian grain into the international market and Russia's recent decision to extend the deal for 60 days, it is important to investigate the impact of this initiative on world food security. Amidst the debate, it is also important to recognize the advantages of cooperation in addressing unusual security challenges. Abstract

The construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Jakarta has become an important infrastructure project for the Indonesian government. In this context, Japan has played an active role through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as a partner in advancing the MRT project in the capital. The purpose of this study is to analyze Japan's interest through JICA in the construction of the MRT in Jakarta. In order to provide more specific accuracy to the results, the researcher uses the neorealism paradigm and the theory of foreign aid as a basic reference for research to clarify Japan's motives through JICA in the construction of the MRT in Jakarta. The analysis was carried out by analyzing books, officially published journals, documents, news. The results showed that Japan's motives in providing assistance to the Jakarta MRT project through JICA were divided into 3, namely humanitarian motives, economic motives, and socio-political motives. First, for humanitarian motives, where Japan uses this project to help people in partner countries in aspects of transportation technology as it is done to achieve JICA's fourth agenda. Second, for economic motives, in which Japan seeks to strengthen its economic influence and invest in long-term investment through foreign aid in the MRT project in Jakarta for Indonesia. Third, for socio-political motives, where the Japanese state as a driving force provides assistance with the aim of creating ties between the two countries, then Indonesia trusts Japan more in the aspect of security motives, for example, as in the Phase 2 MRT project because the technology is considered qualified and has security. good trains, and the existence of these motives also influences the Japanese economic motives which can carry out investment and import activities in Indonesia through this cooperation. Abstract

This research aims to analyze how murabahah financing affects profitability at PT Bank BSI KCP Binjai. This type of research is field research conducted at PT Bank BSI Binjai using quantitative descriptive methods. The data collection technique that the author uses is documentation in the form of financial statements of PT bank BSI Binjai in 2015-2019. Data analysis using SPSS 22. The results showed that murabahah financing to ROA profitability at PT Bank BSI Binjai did not have a significant effect on the correlation coefficient between murabahah financing and profitability of 0.705 which means a positive and strong correlation to profit, while the simple linear regression coefficient of murabahah financing to profit is 0.369 and the standard regression coefficient is 0.214. Based on both numbers obtained thitung = 1.723. While the critical value according to the table uses the formula t α df n-2 which is 0.05 df 5-2 = 3. Because thitung is smaller than ttabel (1,723 <3,182) at a significant level of 0.05, Ho is accepted, meaning that there is no significant influence between murabahah financing and profitability (ROA) on PT Bank BSI Binjai.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the reasons why Morocco normalized its diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020. The normalization agreement brokered by the United States has given Morocco strategic advantages in geopolitical, military, economic and other aspects. On the other hand, Morocco's move has become a controversial topic, because it is related to the historical conflict and political dynamics of Arab countries that oppose Israel. Morocco's normalization agreement with Israel calls for the two countries to officially open access to contacts and resume diplomatic relations This research uses an explanatory qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature studies sourced from several books, journals, reports, websites and theses. This research uses a behavioral perspective and decision making theory. The results of this research explain that the normalization agreement between Morocco and Israel is Morocco's rational policy to achieve its national interests, especially regarding the Western Sahara issue. The agreement is a form of response to potential security threats from the Polisario Front which is supported by Algeria and Iran. The normalization agreement with Israel, provides Morocco with diplomatic support for its integrity in Western Sahara and opens access to exploit Israel's military advantages, and other sectors. However, the normalization agreement has increased regional instability, especially diplomatic tensions between Morocco and Algeria. Abstract

The international organization, namely the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has been authorized by international humanitarian law and must be placed in 193 countries and focuses on child protection issues. UNICEF plays an important role in addressing the use in armed conflict such as child soldiers in the ISIS conflict in Syria. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a radical movement that emerged as a result of the political, economic and socio-cultural situation in the Middle East. This research aims to determine UNICEF's role in overcoming the use of child soldiers in the ISIS conflict in Syria through the Not a Lost Generation (NLG) program, as a program to save child soldiers and protect children in the ISIS conflict in Syria. The methodology for writing this paper uses a qualitative type and descriptive method and the data obtained for this paper comes from library research using trusted sources in the form of journals, books, official reports and websites. This research adopts the theory of the role of international organizations as explained by Clive Archer, in line with the aim of analyzing the role of international organizations or the role of UNICEF. This research found that in 2015-2018, UNICEF also played roles such as UNICEF as an instrument, UNICEF as an arena, and UNICEF as an independent actor. UNICEF created this NLG program as a result of careful preparation between UNICEF in collaboration with the government, NGOs and individuals. Abstract

Nepal is a landlocked country in the South Asian region that has abundant resources and beautiful scenery. One of the natural products that has the potential to become an export product is chyangra pashmina. This pashmina is made from the finest wool of the stomach and neck hair of the Himalayan goat which is commonly called chyangra. This goat fiber is claimed to be “Diamond Fiber” and “Soft Gold of High Asia” because it has very soft, light and smooth fibers so that Nepalese Pashmina is considered a luxury item. However, this success did not last long because India and China, which are Nepal’s main competitors, flooded the market with pashmina which had low prices and quality. This makes the high quality Nepalese Pashmina lose its image. Seeing this situation, the government of Nepal took steps to restore Nepal’s pashmina image and increase its competitiveness in the global market by making relevant policies through Nepal Trade Integration Strategy (NTIS) 2016. In this qualitative research using data collection techniques that come from books, journals, theses, official documents, reports and websites that have relevance to research. This study also uses a mercantilism perspective with the level of nation-state analysis, as well as the theory of comparative advantage and the concept of national interest. The results of this study indicate the strategy of the Nepalese government to increase the competitiveness of chyangra pashmina in the global market which can be grouped into 3 aspects, namely: 1) improving quality and market in line with the development of the chyangra pashmina trademark; 2) improving human resources through various training related to management and skills; 3) increasing facilities and cooperation with other parties through increasing the number of chyangra goat farms and entering into trade investment aggrements.
