Abstract

The total population of Mandau District in 2019 was recorded at 163,414 people with an average population growth rate of 1.46%, so the waste produced will also increase which causes an increase in the volume of waste. In addition, waste management facilities such as Temporary Shelters (TPS) provided by the Garbage Management Agency have not served all communities in Mandau District, resulting in the emergence of illegal TPS. The purpose of this study is to calculate illegal dumping volume, map the distribution of illegal dumping waste, analyze factors for the emergence of illegal dumping such as Geophysical factors, Anthropogenic factors, legal dumping availability factors, illegal TPS service factors and plan the location of illegal dumping in Mandau District. This research was conducted by tracking the study location to determine the existence of illegal dumping, and then taking the coordinates of the location using the Global Position System (GPS), then plotting coordinates using the ArcMap 10.8 software. The results found that there were 34 distribution points of illegal dumping in the study area. In the analysis of geophysical factors, based on the highest number of illegal polling stations found on local roads, there were 22 points (65%), on arterial roads as many as 11 points (32%), and collector roads as many as 1 point (3%). Based on the type of land, the highest number of illegal dumping is 26 points (76%) on the shoulder of the road and on empty land as much as 8 points (24%). Based on anthropogenic factors, at the education level the number of illegal polling stations increased along with the increase in respondents at high school level 78 people (81%). Based on the type of work, the number of illegal dumping increased along with the increase in respondents for the types of jobs of private employees and self-employed workers. Based on population density, the population density in the study location varies and has no effect on the number of illegal polling stations. Keywords: Mandau District, Mapping of Illegal Dumping, Geographic Information System (GIS).

Abstract

Man said al-Insan is viewed from the side of kediriannya as a thinking being, al-Basyar is showing the physical dimensions of the human being, while the sons of Adam are seen from the human lineage. Man was created comes with dimensions of jasmaniyah and ruhiyah, so with both dimensions this man can become the perfect creature surpasses other creatures. The advantages given to humans also demands the man for the task and function of its creation, either as a servant of God and as a khalifah fil ard. Islamic education task mempunnyai important enough in this case, namely, how to create a human being who is able to develop all potential so that human beings are able to execute his duties as both a servant of God and as the leader in the face of the Earth.Key Words: Human, The Essence Of The Philosophy Of Islamic Education.

Abstract

Studi on the utilization of Palm oil trunk for particleboard with Gambir as adhesive was conducted in order to know the influence of temperature and pressing time to particleboard properties. Experiments were analyzed by factorial with completely randomized design in 4 temperatures (140ºC, 145ºC, 150ºC and 155ºC) and 4 pressing times (10 min., 12.5 min., 15 min., and 17.5 min.). Particleboard was tested for density, moisture content, water absorption, modulus of rupture, compression strength parallel to the surface and internal bond. Result showed that temperature and pressing time and their interaction have significant influenced to the moisture content while pressing temperature have influenced to the density and modulus of rupture of the particleboard. On the other hand, temperature and pressing time have not significant influenced to water absorption, compression strength parallel to the surface and internal bond. The entire particleboard properties were met Indonesian Standard except water absorption which relatively higher. Optimal condition was attained by combination of pressing temperature of 150ºC and pressing time of 15 min., where the density was 0.77g/cm3, moisture content was 7.60%, water absorption was 56.98%, modulus of rupture was 147 kg/cm2, compression strength to the surface was 68.85kg/cm2 and internal bond was 8.26 kg/cm2.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution (AATHP) in controlling the forest and land fire cases that often occurs in its member countries, one of them is Indonesia. Indonesia is a country with the largest number of forests in ASEAN, including the Riau Province. The AATHP was signed by ASEAN member countries on 2002, and Indonesia ratified the agreement on 2014. The AATHP contains 32 articles which regulate the objectives, principles, obligations, monitoring, assessment, prevention, technical and financial cooperation. This research uses the perspective of Green Theory and International Environmental Regime Theory. Green Theory assumed that the division between domestic and international politics could occur because of the national boundaries that do not coincide with the ecosystem, and this can be a collective transboundary and global environmental problem. Then, the environmental regime emerged because of human activities that destroy nature, thus the raise of the environmental regime is expected to eradicate environmental problems in the regional and global scope. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through secondary data sources, such as previous research, journals, and other library sources. This research shows that there are differences in the number of hotspots and the area of forest fires before and after Indonesia ratified AATHP. There are efforts made by the Indonesian government, especially the Riau provincial government in preventing and overcoming forest and land fires in accordance with the contents of the AATHP. The results of these efforts can be seen from the change in numbers after Indonesia ratified and implemented AATHP.  Keywords: Green Theory, International Environmental Regime,                   Transboundary Haze, Forest and Land Fire, AATHP.

Abstract

Over the decades, The relationship between Turkey and European Union has been marked with many agreements and convergentions, in shape of economic, cultural, and social life exchanges which are rooted between The Ottoman Empire and European’s power. Turkey has become one of a countries as well as partner that has an important role for the European Union, or vise versa. The process of Turkey’s bid to become part of the European Union has been going on for a long time. Since 1963, Turkey has participated in the regional integration of the European Economic Community, which is now a pioneer of European Union shaping. Turkey has made many policy changes in its country to fulfill the criterias given by the European Union.  In examining this phenomenon, the author uses Neorealism perspective. Neorealism sees that it is natural for the European Union to hinder Turkey’s efforts to become part of its organization, because the European Union has its own interests in maintaining its internal security and identity. The theory used to support this research is The Complex Regional Security Theory. This theory emphasizes that there are boundaries made by the European Union outside of itself, so that even though the European Union has cooperated with Turkey, there is no mixing of identity which requires the European Union to accept Turkey as its member. Through this research, the author formulate, the hurdles that Turkey experiences to become the member of European Union are divided into four different fields, namely politics and security, economy, human rights and democracy, and socio-culture. Until now, Turkey’s effort to be accepted as the member of European Union have often met with stalemates and rejection from European Union heads of state.  Keywords: Turkey, European Union, Hurdles
