Abstract

The career maturity of graduates determines their success in working according to their education. Career maturity conditions can show that students have reached career maturity according to the stage of career development. Career maturity is important for students to plan studies and careers that suit their abilities, interests and talents This research aims to find out what factors influence career maturity in students. This research uses a literature study which uses 9 scientific articles with themes related to student career maturity. From the research results, it is known that the factors that influence student career maturity include the dimensions of student attitudes such as work ethic, level of student knowledge and understanding, knowledge of talents and interests, student willingness to compromise regarding the future, student self-confidence, efficacy students themselves, as well as work experience and strength evaluations can predict student career maturity. Furthermore, factors that are considered not influential are student gender and activeness in organizations. The research conclusion is that student career maturity is generally in various categories starting from low to quite high career maturity categories which can be influenced by various factors that influence it. The implications of this research can be used by students as a reference for developing their careers in the digital era

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the social support provided by Guidance Counseling Teachers (BK) on the Career Maturity of High School Students or equivalent. The method in this research is library research which uses 9 scientific articles related to social support, guidance and counseling teachers, and career maturity of high school students. The results of this research show that BK teachers provide information services to students who really need services so that they can maximize their learning process and be enthusiastic about achieving their dreams or desired careers. Through career guidance, it can be a bridge for students to get closer and get to know the world of work and the things that must be prepared so that students are able to plan the careers needed in the era of society 5.0. The BK Teacher's efforts include providing individual counseling services, developing group guidance, providing support to students, completing facilities, providing systematic and sustainable training that suits the potential needs of students at school. Additionally, before deciding on an academic or non-academic career path, it is important for students to complete an interest test. The conclusion of this research is that social support from guidance and counseling teachers can support the career maturity of high school students. The implication of this research is that students can use the services of guidance and counseling teachers to support career maturity for the students' future

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of social media on the mental health of adolescent students. The method in this research is library research which uses 9 scientific articles related to the impact of social media on the mental health of adolescent students. Scientific articles were obtained from national journal literature, nationally accredited journals and international journals. The analysis used was content analysis. The results of this research show that apart from having a positive impact on teenage students, social media also has a negative impact on the mental health of teenage students, including feelings of loneliness and emotional disturbances, stress, addiction and dependence on using social media, cyberbullying, reducing the quality of teenagers' critical thinking. , mood and anxiety disorders, lack of sleep, decreased work productivity, less time with other people, stressed mood, addiction and depression, addiction to pornographic media, and even depression. The conclusion of this research is that although social media can provide benefits in terms of social relationships, its negative impact on the mental health of adolescent students cannot be ignored. Collaborative efforts between parents, educators and teenagers themselves are needed to maximize the benefits of social media while minimizing the risks posed

Abstract

One of the main challenges is students' self-confidence when competing based on their abilities. The purpose of this research is to determine the picture of student self-confidence. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach with a survey method. The research subjects consisted of 86 students from the UNM Faculty of Psychology. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire designed based on Lautter's self-confidence variable. The data obtained was then analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of the research showed that the self-confidence possessed by students included self-confidence, optimistic attitude, responsible attitude, and statement of purpose. Confidence in one's abilities was 62.8%, positive signals were 48.8%, goals signals were 52.3%, and responsibility signals were shown from the data at 59.3% in developing public speaking skills. In conclusion, most students show indicators of confidence in speaking in public. The implications of this research can be used by students to increase their self-confidence so that they can support students in speaking in public

Abstract

Adolescent students are in a phase of a critical period in individual development, where students are beginning to be required to be able to make important decisions regarding the future, including decisions regarding careers. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between family cohesiveness and career maturity of adolescent school students. The research method used is library research or literature research. This study uses data obtained from primary sources, namely journals and scientific articles related to family cohesiveness and adolescent career maturity. Data were obtained using 5 scientific articles. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques. The research results show that family cohesiveness has an important role in supporting students' career maturity. Families that have close emotional relationships and open communication can provide a sense of security and confidence to teenagers, which influences their ability to recognize their own potential and make career-related decisions. Emotional, social and practical support from the family helps students to explore career options more openly and maturely. The implications of this research can be used by parents in supporting teenagers to make decisions regarding life

Abstract

Career maturity is an important aspect in student development which reflects student readiness in making career decisions. This research aims to compare the career maturity level of psychology students based on the students' study period. This research uses a quantitative approach. The sample for this research consisted of 60 students from the Faculty of Psychology from three different study periods. Subjects were selected using the Accidental Sampling technique in each class. Data was collected using a career maturity scale, and analyzed using the Kruskall Wallis test. The research results show a significance value of 0.23 (Asymp.sig>0.05), which means there is no significant difference in the level of student career maturity in terms of their study period. The implication of this research is that career education interventions can help students develop career maturity in all their study periods.

Abstract

Entering the era of globalization and the industrial revolution 4.0, the world of work is experiencing very dynamic, complex, and competitive changes. These changes require the younger generation, especially final year students such as at the State Islamic Senior High School (MAN), to be ready to plan their future careers carefully. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of self-efficacy on career maturity. This study uses an inferential quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of MAN Y in Makassar City. This study used the Accidental Sampling technique with a sample size of 45 MAN students in Makassar. The instruments in this study were the career maturity scale and the self-efficacy scale in the form of a Likert Scale. The data analysis used was simple regression analysis. The results of the study showed a Significance value (Sig.) = 0.001, which is much smaller than 0.05 (the level of significance commonly used). This means that the regression model is statistically significant, namely self-efficacy has a significant effect on career maturity. The conclusion of this study is that self-efficacy plays a significant role in the career maturity of MAN Y students in Makassar City. The implications of this study for schools and guidance and counseling teachers at MAN to improve student self-efficacy can be one of the strategic interventions in order to develop student career maturity.

Abstract

Divorced families often have a significant psychological impact on children, especially in the career decision-making process. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the career maturity of adolescent students from divorced families. The method used in this study is library research, by collecting data from various sources of scientific article literature related to career maturity in adolescent students from divorced families. The data analysis used is content analysis. The results of the study indicate that adolescent students from high-achieving families tend to experience confusion in determining adolescent career choices. The role of parents has an impact on self-concept, emotions, adolescent confusion in determining a career, so that it can affect the career life of adolescent students. In addition, the negative impact of divorce can lead to the formation of a negative self-concept, which has an impact on low levels of self-confidence. This study concludes that it is important for schools and parents to provide appropriate support and guidance so that adolescent students can develop optimal career maturity even though they come from difficult family backgrounds.
