Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk hegemoni dalam kumpulan cerpen Kinokot karya Andhika Mappasomba. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa teks yang mengacu pada bentuk-bentuk hegemoni dalam cerpen “Kinokot” dan “Dia Tak Pernah Kembali” karya Andhika Mappasomba sedangkan sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kumpulan cerpen Kinokot yang diterbitkan oleh P3i Press pada tahun 2018. Objek formal penelitian ini adalah teori hegemoni Gramsci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk hegemoni tampak pada dua cerpen yang ada di dalam kumpulan cerpen Kinokot yaitu cerpen Dia Tak Pernah Kembali dan cerpen Kinokot. kedua cerpen tersebut menunjukkan adanya bentuk hegemoni menyeluruh yang dibuktikan dengan hadirnya tokoh yang dengan sadar melarungkan anaknya ke laut demi mematuhi anjuran pemerinta tentang keluarga berencana. Selain hegemoni menyeluruh, kedua cerpen tersebut, menghadirkan bentu hegemoni minimum yang dibuktikan melalui sikap negosiasi dan resisten yang ditampakkan dalam cerita. Kata Kunci: hegemoni, kumpulan cerpen Kinokot Abstract: This study aims to describe the form of hegemony in a collection of short stories by Andhika Mappasomba Kinokot. This research is a qualitative study using a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study is in the form of text that refers to the forms of hegemony in “Kinokot” short stories and “He Never Returns” to Andhika Mappasomba's work while the data source in this study is a collection of Kinocot short stories published by P3i Press in 2018. The formal object of this research is the theory of hegemony. Gramsci. The results showed that the forms of hegemony were seen in the two short stories in the Kinokot short story collection, namely Dia Tak Never Return and the Kinokot short stories. The two short stories show a form of overall hegemony as evidenced by the presence of a character who is conscious of throwing himself out to sea in order to comply with the government's recommendation regarding family planning. In addition to the overall hegemony, the two short stories present a minimum form of hegemony as evidenced by the negotiation and resistance attitudes shown in the story.Keywords: hegemony, collection of short stories Kinokot

Abstract

Kegiatan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan pola pembimbingan mengenai teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah dan tata cara publikasi artikel ilmiah hasil penelitian pada jurnal nasional bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Pancasakti Makassar. Bentuk kegiatan berupa: penulisan artikel ilmiah menulis artikel ilmiah (abstrak, pendahuluan, tinjauan pustaka, metodologi, kesimpulan, daftar pustaka), Submission dan mengonfirmasi submission pada open journal system (OJS) jurnal ilmiah nasional. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penerapan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) Ini: (1) mahasiswa peserta pelatihan mengertahui teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah hasil penelitian pada jurnal ilmiah dan teknik penelusuran referensi tinjauan pustaka, (2) mahasiswa peserta pelatihan telah memiliki keterampilan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah hasil penelitian, dan (3) mahasiswa peserta pelatihan telah memiliki pengetahuan tentang open journal system (OJS) dan tata cara publikasi artikel pada aplikasi tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the awe technique assisted by audio-visual media on students learning to write poetry texts in class VIII SMP Negeri 27 Makassar. The data for this research is quantitative data from students' pretest and posttest results. The type of research used by researchers in this study is quantitative using a pre-experimental design, namely a one-group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study was class VIII students of SMP Negeri 27 Makassar, with a total of 358 students divided into 11 classes. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The sample taken in this study was from class VIII 9 which totaled 35 students. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the average value of students' short story writing in the pretest was 60.9 while the average value in the pretest was 83. If the result of one sample test shows the value of tcount > ttable, which is 8.398 > 2.032 then the hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This study shows that the use of awe techniques assisted by audiovisual media has an effect on learning to write poetry texts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of language politeness in Indonesian language learning in class IX of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. This research applies descriptive qualitative research method.  The data of this research is in the form of spoken language taken from conversations that occur in the interaction between students and teachers during the discussion process in Indonesian language learning. The data sources in this research are teachers and students of class IX SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. The collected data were processed through qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The results show that the politeness form of teacher-to-student interaction in Indonesian language learning in class IX, namely obeying 5 forms of maxims, namely, the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of respect, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of sympathy. Furthermore, the principle of politeness that is violated is the maxim of humility by students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' ability to analyze, evaluate, and create in reading texts of Indonesian language subjects of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Polut Takalar. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The data for this study were obtained from the test results of students' higher-order thinking skills using text-based HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions. The data was analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that students' reading text-based higher-order thinking skills at the analyzing level obtained an average score of 55% in the moderate category. At the level of evaluation, students obtained an average score of 59.10%, which is a sufficient category. At the level of creating, students obtained an average score of 48.18% in the low category. Thus, students' higher-order thinking skills are still weak and need to be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the use of the project-based learning model on the reading learning outcomes of Class IX students at SMPN 40 Makassar. This research is a type of quantitative research with an experimental research design. The sample in this study amounted to 32 students. The data collection technique in this study was a multiple choice test. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) the reading ability before using the Project Based Learning model was categorised as poor with an average score of 50.93, (2) the reading ability after using the Project Based Learning model of class IX students of SMPI 40 Makassar was categorised as sufficient with an average score of 63.43 by obtaining an increase of 12.5, and (3) the results of hypothesis testing from the results of the analysis of students' pretest and posttest data showed that the results of t count ≥ t table, namely 9.153 > 2.042, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, namely the Project Based Learning model is effectively applied in reading learning to students of class IX SMPI 40 Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract.  This study examines the symbolic meaning of a tradition and aims to describe the form of symbolic meaning contained in the mappacci tradition at Bugis traditional weddings in Bone Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis. The data in this study are in the form of symbolic meanings contained in the symbols used in the mappacci tradition of Bugis traditional marriages in Bone Regency. The source of the data in this study was the mappacci ritual procession for the traditional wedding of the Bugis tribe in Bone Regency and the people of Makassar who have in-depth knowledge of the mappacci event. Data collection techniques used in this study were direct observation, interview techniques, documentation techniques, and recording techniques. The results showed that mappacci contains a symbolic meaning as self-cleanliness and purity, which has the aim of cleansing the soul and body of the bride and groom before entering the household ark. The forms of symbolic meaning contained in the mappaci tradition are: 1) pillows have a symbolic meaning of mutual respect (sipakatau), honor and glory or dignity, 2) silk sarongs have a symbolic meaning of self-esteem, istikhamah and perseverance, 3) banana shoots have a meaning symbolic connecting or continuous, 4) jackfruit leaves have a symbolic meaning of noble ideals and hope, and honesty, 5) pacci leaves have a symbolic meaning of cleanliness and purity, 6) rice has a symbolic meaning of growing well, prosperous, and prosperous, 7 ) a candle has a meaning as a sulo matappa (sulo of life) or gives light to the path to be taken, 8) a pacci place or container has a symbolic meaning of unity, 9) water as a complement. Of the nine forms of symbolic meaning, these are arranged in one summary of words containing hopes and prayers for the welfare and happiness of the bride and groom in carrying out the household ark. Keywords: symbolic meaning, mappacci, semiotics

Abstract

Mitra kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) adalah Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Berdasarkan kajian analisis situasi dinyatakan bahwa mitra memiliki permasalahan:  terbatasnya pengetahuan mitra dalam menuangkan dan mengorganisasikan  ide dan gagasan dalam bentuk tulisan artikel untuk publikasi jurnal ilmiahdan terbatasnya pengetahuan mitra dalam mengorganisasikan gaya tulisan artikel untuk publikasi jurnal ilmiah sehingga tulisan yang dihasilkan  ditolak oleh jurnal untuk dipublikasikan. Solusi permasalahan yang ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan masalah mitra yaitu, memberikan pelatihan  publikasi ilmiah: kecerdasan buatan perplexity untuk membantu penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini,  dilaksanakan   dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mengikuti tahapan yaitu perencenaan, pelatihan dan pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatkan kemampuan mitra dalam menulis ilmiah atikel hasil penelitian untuk publikasi pada jurnal. Mitra menunjukkan peningkatan yang jelas dalam keterampilan menulis, baik dari segi struktur maupun substansi tulisan publikasi ilmiah. Mitra berhasil menyelesaikan draft publikasi yang lebih terorganisir dan berkualitas. Selain itu,  meningkatkanya pemahaman mitra mengenai penggunaan alat kecerdasan buatan Perplexity, dalam proses penulisan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students' fantasy story writing by applying a project-based learning model. This research is a type of classroom action research. This research consists of four stages, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class VII.3 UPT SPF SMP Negeri 1 Makassar, consisting of 41 students with details of 13 male students and 28 female students. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative analysis techniques and quantitative analysis. The results of this study showed that there was a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, student scores began to increase with an average score of 71. Students who were complete in cycle I were 15 students (36.58%), and those who were not complete were 26 students (63.41%). Furthermore, in cycle II, the average student score increased from 71 to 89. In cycle II, all students' scores were complete, and there were no students who were not complete. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of writing fantasy stories that have been carried out through cycle II in class VII.3 UPT SPF SMP Negeri 1 Makassar have increased significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of digital media for writing short stories based on Bugis local wisdom. The method used in this research is the research and development (R&D) method, with the development design of the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Dessimination). The data from this study are qualitative and quantitative data from expert and practitioner tests. The data analysis technique in this research is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis is grouping data and concluding data in the form of comments, criticisms, suggestions from experts and practitioners of media improvement then, quantitative data analysis is finding the average of each indicator of expert and practitioner assessment for media feasibility. The results of this study showed the feasibility of media display obtained an average of 0.91 with a very feasible category, the feasibility of digital media programming writing short stories based on bugis local wisdom obtained 0.88 with a very feasible category, and the average of both expert and practitioner assessments obtained an average of 0.91 with a very feasible category.
