Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in learning to write short story text for seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Makassar. The research method used is classroom action research. The implementation of this research uses two or more cycles, where each cycle has four stages, including planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The population in this study included the total number of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Makassar, namely 288 students. Determination of the number of samples was carried out using the purposive sampling method. The chosen sample comprises 32 students from class VII.1. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of learning to write short story texts using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model showed a significant increase. This is known after the results of the short story text writing test in cycle I; only four students obtained a score ≥ 80. While in cycle II, there were only 7 students who obtained < 80 out of 32 students. So that the improvement in students' ability to write short story texts using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is categorized as successful based on the level of student completeness in cycle II, which reached 78%. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in learning can facilitate students in writing short story texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap praktik penggunaan media digital oleh guru Bahasa Indonesia di UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Parepare, meliputi: (1) pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital, (2) penggunaan media sosial dalam proses belajar mengajar, dan (3) pemakaian mesin pencari sebagai sumber materi ajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek guru Bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah memanfaatkan media digital dalam pembelajaran, terutama video pembelajaran (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) dan media visual (seperti Canva). Kendala utama yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan waktu, gangguan jaringan internet, serta kurangnya keterampilan teknologi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, guru mengatur jadwal, mengikuti pelatihan, dan memanfaatkan platform digital gratis. Penggunaan media sosial seperti WhatsApp, YouTube, dan TikTok dinilai efektif karena informatif, menarik, dan mampu meningkatkan motivasi siswa. Sementara itu, dalam mencari referensi, guru menggunakan berbagai mesin pencari seperti Google, Google Scholar, Bing, Yahoo!, Brainly, ChatGPT, dan Scribd. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pencarian informasi adalah kurangnya akurasi dan keterbatasan referensi. Guru mengatasinya dengan memilih sumber yang telah diverifikasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bentuk integrasi sosial yang terjadi di antara dua belas anak suku di Tana' Luwu, Sulawesi Selatan. Integrasi sosial merupakan proses yang penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat, terutama dalam konteks masyarakat yang terdiri dari berbagai suku. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa terjadinya integrasi sosial pada dua belas anak suku di Tana’ Luwu disebabkan oleh tingginya sikap toleransi, terjadinya pemerataan ekonomi, terbentukya sistem pengendali sosial. Selain itu terjadinya integrasi sosial juga dipengaruhi oleh adanya peran lembaga (baik formal maupun informal) bersama agen (aktor) membentuk sistem sosial dalam kehidupan bersama yang selanjutnya dilakukan pengendalian sosial oleh lembaga dan aktor dalam rangka menjaga dan memelihara integrasi sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang bentuk integrasi sosial di antara dua belas anak suku di Tana' Luwu, Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan program-program yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan integrasi sosial di masyarakat yang heterogen seperti Tana' Luwu. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya dalam bidang integrasi sosial di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of writing review texts by eighth-grade students at SMPN 27 Makassar before and after using the metacognitive scaffolding learning strategy and to prove the effect of using the metacognitive scaffolding learning strategy on the results of writing review texts by eighth-grade students at SMPN 27 Makassar. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). Data were collected through review text writing tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) the use of the metacognitive scaffolding learning strategy. The data analysis used in this study was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between students' review writing learning outcomes before and after using the metacognitive scaffolding learning strategy. Data analysis showed that the pretest mean score was 59.69, while the posttest mean score was 85.38. The Wilcoxon test results showed that the significance value was < 0.001, which means it was less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the metacognitive scaffolding learning strategy on the learning outcomes of writing review texts by students in class VIII of SMPN 27 Makassar.

Abstract

Gowa Regency has abundant natural and cultural tourism potential but faces challenges in delivering effective and attractive destination promotion to tourists. This community service activity (PKM) aims to improve the quality of tourism destination promotion in Gowa Regency and enhance the digital competence of partners through the integration of Perplexity.ai in persuasive text writing in poster form. The method used is a training held on October 2-3, 2025. The training participants were 36 students from SMA Negeri 9 Gowa, selected based on their interest in digital literacy, tourism promotion, and technology. The success of this activity was measured through several key indicators, including the participants' increased skills in utilizing Perplexity.ai for writing persuasive texts and creativity in poster design that meets tourism promotion standards. The analysis results show that integrating Perplexity.ai in persuasive text writing for tourism destination promotional posters successfully improved participants' skills significantly, with the average score increasing from 68 to 87. As many as 91% of participants were able to create effective and creative posters that received positive responses on social media and experienced an increase in digital literacy, making this training effective in developing participants' technical skills, creativity, and analytical abilities based on technology.

Abstract

Modernization of agricultural is a change which occurs in the society from various phases in the agricultural process, starting from using traditional simple tools to using modern tools. This research aimed to analyze what forms of agricultural modernization which exist in Teamusu Village, Ulaweng District, Bone, South Sulawesi. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The informants of this research were some various elements of the society in Teamusu Village. Data collection techniques in this research including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the forms of agricultural modernization in the Teamusu Village society included various aspects or phases of the agricultural procession, from land management to the post-production phase, which led to the significant changes. However, not all the lines had changed completely, but only some of it that had been touched by modernization. The existence of this modernization had a positive impact on the society, especially on the energy efficiency and the level of society welfare which was getting better.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tindak tutur ekspresif dalam film Miracle in Cell No. 7. Analisis deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini. Kalimat-kalimat yang termasuk dalam tindak tutur ekspresif yang digunakan oleh tokoh Dodo Rozak merupakan data penelitian ini. Film Miracle in Cell No. 7 yang dirilis di Indonesia pada tahun 2022 menjadi sumber data penelitian ini. Menyimak bebas adalah metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Empat tahap terdiri dari model analisis data interaktif, yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, displai data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur ekspresif yang ditunjukkan oleh para tokoh dalam film Dodo Rozak meliputi tindak tutur langsung tidak literal, tindak tutur tidak langsung tidak literal, dan tindak tutur langsung literal. Menyatakan sikap dan menyampaikan permintaan maaf, rasa terima kasih, atau simpati merupakan contoh tindak tutur langsung literal. Selain itu, menyampaikan sikap dan menunjukkan simpati termasuk dalam tindak tutur tidak langsung literal. Permintaan maaf, simpati, dan menyampaikan sikap, harapan, dan tantangan adalah contoh tindak tutur langsung literal. Sebaliknya, sapaan dan sikap merupakan tindak tutur tidak langsung tidak literal. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi panduan untuk penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya mengenai kegiatan bertutur ekspresif.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of authoritarian parenting, characterized by strict and controlling parental involvement, on students' social behavior. In using a qualitative approach with a case study strategy, this research selected ten informants through a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The findings show that students who were raised in an authoritarian upbringing tend to show obedient and submissive behavior, but also be exclusive and careful in socializing with them. They lack self-confidence in social environments and tend to have limited openness towards parents. Even though they are obedient in worship, they often violate their parents' rules and even lie to them. The implication of this research is a deeper understanding of how parenting can influence the development of students' social behavior, as well as the potential impact in the long term.

Abstract

Abstrak. Urgensi dari Pemberdayaan Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah menyelesaikan masalah prioritas Kelompok Pemandu Wisata Karst Rammang-Rammang (mitra) yang: (1) masih fokus menyewakan perahu sehingga pendapatan hanya bergantung pada penyewaan perahu; (2) belum memberikan informasi wisata secara oral dan tertulis sehingga perjalanan susur sungai wisata membosankan; (3) belum memberikan panduan larangan membuang sampah sembarang tempat di kawasan wisata sehingga sampah plastik dari botol minum berserakan dan tidak dimanfaatkan; (4) tidak dapat menunjukkan papan informasi wisata karena belum tersedia; (5) tidak dapat menunjukkan rute wisata karena belum tersedia; (6) belum menyediakan buku saku wisata untuk membantu dan memandu wisatawan sehingga wisatawan kadang jenuh; (7) belum mampu menunjukkan dan menceritakan makanan khas lokasi wisata karena pengetahuan yang masih terbatas; (8) belum mampu membuat buku saku wisata untuk dibagikan kepada wisatawan; (9) belum mampu membuat papan informasi wisata pada titik wisata; (10) belum mampu membuat rute perjalanan wisata, (11) belum mengetahui memanfaatkan sampah plastik menjadi cinderamata. Tujuan PKM ini agar mitra memiliki: (1) pengetahuan komunikasi wisata yang efektif; (2) keterampilan mendesain papan informasi wisata yang komunikatif; (3) keterampilan membuat papan informasi wisata yang komunikatif; (4) keterampilan menyusun buku saku wisata yang menarik; (5) keterampilan membuat buku saku wisata yang menarik; (6) pengetahuan memanfaatkan limbah plastik menjadi cinderamata; dan (7) keterampilan membuat cinderamata dari limbah plastik. Target PKM ini adalah membantu pemandu wisata meningkatkan pengetahuan menyusun buku saku wisata dan menjadi pemandu wisata yang informatif. PKM ini diharapkan dapat menambah literasi komunikasi wisata, mengembangkan usaha, memasarkan jasa wisata, mengembangkan wisata kuliner khas Rammang-Rammang, menambah pendapatan, mengembangkan wisata Karst Rammang-Rammang, mengurangi limbah plastik Rammang dan meningkatkan pendapatan daerah. Kata Kunci: literasi; pemandu; wisata
