Abstract

This writing deals with developing moral values by the ‘project citizen’ through several stages of its learning. Hopefully this article could act its role in enlightening and motivating for the teachers to be able to use this model later. Starting from the idea of character building by John Dewey (1859-1952) through the flow of Progressivism. He explains that "schools should make students as citizens to be more democratic, free thinking and intelligent". It can be interpreted that the role of the school as an institution must provide learning that can develop a wide range of student competence. The most appropriate learning strategies to achieve what is thought of this school is by using learning model of ‘project citizen’. This model is basically based on the strategy of inquiry learning, discovery learning, problem solving, and research-oriented learning. From the experiments which conducted, using the model is able to achieve competency in the subject of Civic Education. The model of project citizen learning has become the best model, which is able to develop the character of students through the process of participative learning. Therefore, educating character as a pillar of our national education goals, could be developed through the learning model of project citizen.

Abstract

Education indeed could be takes place through experiences which empirically can develops culture of learning for every students. However experience and education can not merely be equated because part of experience could not be educate. The not-educated experience is the one that obstruct on coming of the next experience. Whilst educated learning experience is the one that can encourage the students to evolve a change intentionally, so the change could be happen actively, effectively, and sustainable. This wiriting tries to construct, how the learning model of poject citizen can be develop experience in learning concern on civic. If realized that one of the matters in teaching civic nowadays is managing of class can not yet construct an atmosphere that can be provides experiences in learning for students, as the learning only emphasizes on cognitive aspect. Through community services activity, a training by using learning model  of ‘project citizen’ have done in SMP of Batubara Regency, the writer try various ideas regarding how learning model of project citizen could be constructs experience in learning civic .

Abstract

Currently the world is faced with various global problems that affect the lives of citizens both at the local and national levels. For example, how global warming affects rural agriculture. Forest burning that occurs in one area causes bad air in other areas and even crosses between countries. Likewise with the covid-19 virus pandemic which affects public health globally. These global problems can only be resolved collaboratively by involving all parties. As citizens, it is necessary to have awareness of the importance of caring, empathy and high solidarity with various global problems. This overall attitude is reflected in behavior that shows adherence to various policies issued by the government in an effort to prevent and resolve various global problems. This paper aims to identify, map and analyze various academic discourses from empirical studies regarding the relevance of public policies in the Covid-19 Pandemic era to the global awareness of citizens. The method used is literature study. The results show a synthesis that citizen participation in various policies related to the prevention and handling of the Covid-19 virus is highly dependent on public awareness as part of the global community.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate Eco-Literacy Citizenship Education materials based on cultural value. This teaching material was developed in the Citizenship Education (PKn) subject in Higher Education. The development of teaching materials aims to strengthen citizenship competence, especially students' responsible attitudes towards various global issues such as the environment. The teaching materials developed integrate the principles of environmental awareness and the values ​​of Indonesian local wisdom. The method used is research and development (R&D) by Borg and Gall (1983). Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews. The subjects in this study were adjusted to the stages of the research. For introduction, the respondents were 30 Universitas Negeri Medan’s students from the three of study programs, namely Elementary School Teacher Education, Computer Science Engineering Education and Pancasila and Citizenship Education. At the planning stage and initial product development, the subjects of the research were 4 lecturers of Citizenship Education courses. While at the stage of field testing, the subjects of the research were 2 experts on the subject of Citizenship Education. The results of the study indicate that Eco-literacy Citizenship Education Materials based on cultural value are needed to strengthen student citizenship competencies. Expert validation results get an average score of 86.50. These results indicate that the teaching materials developed are categorized as suitable for use in the next test.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom values in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV students. This research was conducted in elementary school, Palipi district, Samosir regency. This research method is development research. The subjects of this study were grade IV students of Elementary School, Palipi District, Samosir Regency, which totaled 59 people and were divided into 3 classes. The data analysis technique in this study is a descriptive study and t-test of research results and conclusions in this study, namely thematic teaching materials based on the values of local wisdom are categorized as practical because the module of student response response results from trials is limited and large-scale trials have increased. It can be seen that students prefer to use modules in the implementation of free poetry writing learning with an average percentage of Test I student responses of 88.1% and Test II student responses increased by a percentage of 91.9% interested in modules. From these results it can be assumed that if the value is more than 90 then it is categorized very well. If the category is very good, thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom values are practically used in learning.

Abstract

For The purpose of the research to describe the RADEC learning model that is used as a tool in cultivating students' high-order thinking skills in Civics learning in elementary schools. The data were collected through a literature review from several sources, namely indexed journals and scientific articles. The sources obtained must be related to the problems to be discussed in the research. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data that had been collected and then described scientifically so that conclusions could be drawn. This research resulted in Civics learning solutions that can foster higher-order thinking skills, namely the use of a model with Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-And Create (RADEC) stages.

Abstract

Pendidikan kewarganegaraan merupakan salah satu sarana untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Tujuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan adalah untuk membentuk siswa yang mampu mengenal jati dirinya sebagai bangsa Indonesia, berakhlak mulia, cerdas, jujur, peduli, saling berbagi, gotong royong, demokratis, terampil, dan tangguh melalui penanaman dan pembudayaan nilai yang bersumber dari nilai-nilai luhur bangsa Indonesia yakni Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi tantangan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) pada SD 024868 Kota Binjai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif tipe deskriptif. Dengan mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh siswa dan guru dalam pembelajaran PKn. Kemudian merancang solusi berupa media pembelajaran yang inovatif menggunakan platform wordwall. Media pembelajaran ini memanfaatkan fitur-fitur interaktif wordwall, termasuk kuis, permainan, dan aktivitas kolaboratif. Dengan penggunaan platform, penulis berharap dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, efektif, serta melibatkan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran wordwall secara signifikan meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dan minat mereka dalam memahami materi PKn.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the Project Citizen learning model affects the Civic Disposition of class XI students of SMA Negeri 7 Binjai. The research methodology used is quantitative. To determine the causal relationship between the independent variable (Project Citizen, variable X) and the dependent variable (Civic Disposition, variable Y), the research design used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. This research uses data collection techniques, namely questionnaires, documentation studies and observation. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Binjai North Sumatra. The population in this study were all 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 7 Binjai. While the samples are students of class XI-7 and XI-6. The data found were analyzed statistically with the t test then normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with paired sample t-test. The results showed that the Project Citizen learning model had a significant effect on improving the Civic Disposition of students in class XI-7. This can be seen from the mean or average results of Pre-Test and Post-Test Civic Disposition in experimental classes. Where the experimental Pre-Test was 100.06 and increased by 15.79, namely the Post-Test result of 115.85. While the Pre-Test in the control class amounted to 102.16 and increased by 6.19, namely the Post-Test result of 108.35. Then the t test results show that the sig. (2tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, then H_o is rejected then H_aadmitted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of applying the citizen project model on increasing the Civic Disposition of students XI-7 SMA Negeri 7 Binjai.

Abstract

Abstract: The very rapid development of technology and the flow of globalization are things that must be considered and have an influence on the erosion of the sense of nationalism of future generations. The purpose of this research is to determine the contribution of the p5 program as a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in schools towards a sense of nationalism. Indonesia is a pluralistic country that is rich in diversity in terms of ethnicity, religion, race and class. Diversity has many influences, such as gaps that can lead to conflict between groups or are caused by differences in culture and background between groups in society. So character cultivation is very necessary to provide understanding and strengthen the spirit of nationalism in students. The spirit of nationalism is a feeling of pride and love for one's country so that one is able to respect and respect the differences that exist in society. This research uses a literature study with a systematic review where data collection comes from textbooks, journals, scientific articles, and other literature reviews that are appropriate to the research study. The results of this research are regarding the contribution of implementing P5 activities through themes that are relevant to the need to build a sense of nationalism in students, especially at elementary school age.Keywords: National Identity, P5, Pancasila Student Profile, Sense of Nationalism, Globalization. Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat dan arus globalisasi menjadi salah satu hal yang harus diperhatikan dan berpengaruh terhadap pengikisan rasa nasionalisme generasi kedepan. Tujuan adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi program p5 sebagai proyek penguatan profil siswa Pancasila di sekolah terhadap rasa nasionalisme. Indonesia adalah negara majemuk yang kaya akan keanekaragaman baik dari segi suku, agama, ras dan golongan. Keragaman memiliki banyak pengaruh, seperti kesenjangan yang dapat menimbulkan konflik antar kelompok atau disebabkan oleh perbedaan budaya dan latar belakang antar kelompok dalam masyarakat. Sehingga penanaman karakter sangat diperlukan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan memperkuat jiwa nasionalisme pada siswa. Semangat nasionalisme adalah rasa bangga dan cinta tanah air sehingga mampu menghargai dan menghargai perbedaan yang ada dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka dengan tinjauan sistematis dimana pengumpulan data berasal dari buku teks, jurnal, artikel ilmiah, dan kajian pustaka lain yang sesuai dengan kajian penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu mengenai kontribusi pelaksanaan kegiatan P5 melalui tema-tema yang diusung relevan dengan kebutuhan dalam membangun rasa nasionalisme peserta didik terlebih pada usia sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Identitas Nasional, P5, Profil Pelajar Pancasila, Rasa Nasionalisme, Globalisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Penguatan Civic Responsibility siswa melalui Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Kepramukaan. Secara umum Civic Responsibility adalah salah satu sikap seseorang dalam melaksanakan sesuatu yang telah menjadi kewajiban yang harus diselesaikan dengan sungguh-sungguh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam memperkuat Civic Responsibility Siswa SMP di Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Langkat; 2) Dampak Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam memperkuat Civic Responsibility Siswa SMP di Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Langkat; 3) Tantangan Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam memperkuat Civic Responsibility Siswa SMP di Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan metode Studi Deskriptif, Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka merupakan kegiatan rutin yang dilakukan setiap hari jum’at dalam membentuk kepribadian dan karakter siswa. 2) Dampak Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam memperkuat Civic Responsibility Siswa dikatakan efisien dan bernilai positif dilihat dari sikap dan karakter siswa yang sudah bertanggung jawab pada dirinya dan lingkungan. 3) Tantangan Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam memperkuat Civic Responsibility Siswa terjadi karena (1) faktor internal yaitu  usia remaja yang masih memiliki sifat keegoisan yang belum stabil sehingga sulit dikendalikan, (2) faktor eksternal dari faktor lingkungan.
