Abstract

The Nepenthes is the herb and it can grow as liana or terrestrial. Community activities and dependence on the natural resources has its negative impact on the preservation of biodiversity and ecosystem. This study aim was to examine the dispersion pattern of nepenthes. The reseach used survey method with double plots technic give size of the plot 5 m x 5 m. Several data analyzes were applied on this research such as density, frequency, importance value index and Morisita Index. The results signify 3 species of Nepenthes, they are N. Reinwardtiana Miq, N. Mirabilis Druce and N. ampullaria Jack with a total number of individual nepenthes is 1.039, the southern part has 486 individual species of N. mirabilis Druce with clumped dispersion pattern. There are 17 individual species of N. mirabilis Druce (Uniform) and 102 individual species of N. reinwardtiana Miq with clumped dispersion pattern in the western part, there are 23 individual species of N. ampullaria Jack with clumped dispersion pattern in the eastern part, and 411 individual species of N. reinwardtiana Miq with clumped dispersion pattern. While in thes northern part, there was no Nepenthes found as the place is covered tightly by the canopy, sunlight is blocked. 1039 individual species of Nepenthes with clumped dispersion pettern found at the compass points (south, east, west) in order to achieve the sustainability and the ecosystem balance, therefore, it is expected thet the relevant agencies will give extra attention to the area.Keyword: Dispersion Pattern, Double Plots, Mirabilis Druce, Nepenthes spp, Selindung Mounth

Abstract

Mangrove forests have characteristics that are often flooded by sea water so they have high salinity levels. With this condotion, the mangrove adapts to the salinity of sea water. This research aims to assess the soil condition in the area of mangrove forests, especially in Nusapati Village Mempawah Regency. The research method used in the study is survey method by taking soil samples through purposive sampling. the soil sample was taken at three zones namely the front, middle and rear zones using the sample rings. A laboratory analysis was then performed with a descriptive analysis method. The results of the research showed that the soil condition of the mangrove forest area, especially in Nusapati Village Mempawah Regency in terms of soil texture with sand fraction between (0.17% -1.34%), dust between (42.01% -45.05%), and clay between (54.19% -56.56%) the average texture class has loamy clay fraction. Soil acidity or pH is between (4.44 to 7.59) categorized as acid, very acid, alkaline and neutral. C-Organic values of soil range from high to very high (3.99% -5.05%). CEC values of soil categorized as high to very high namely 22.61 (cmol(+)kg-1) - 28.64 (cmol(+)kg-1). While soil salinity ranges from between 0.66 ppt - 2.95 ppt. Abstract

The puposes of this research is to examine the diversity of fruit-producing trees that can be consumed. The object of this research are all fruit-producing trees in the plot or observation path, which is the limitation is the fruits that can be consumed by human. This research have been done at IUPHHK-HTI PT. Bhatara Alam Lestari. The printed path has been used to determine the plots and observation paths of fruit-producing trees diversity that can be consumed on the ground. The result of the research found that there are 12 kinds of tree producers offorest fruit consumption, they are asam-asam, cempedak hutan, durian hutan, jungkang, kandis, kelampai, keranji, medang asam, nyatoh/sangai, petai hutan, rambutan hutan, ubah. The value of the dominant index (C) at the research area is quite poor, because the value of the dominant index from all the lane is not reached the highest index value of dominance yet (C-1). This indicates that the community not found one or two tree producing fruit consumption who dominated on a community forest secondary , while index value diversity its kind low because less than the value 1 , this showed that on a community many those kinds of composing under each organizations research is low. To value index provided the global financing of other firms ahmad abundance of offerings shared with or far higher than those, because the pattern of spreading on this community can be equally on each its kind.Keyword: Diversity, tree producing fruit, secondary forest
