Abstract

Sebagian besar industri makanan, termasuk industri tahu membuang limbah cairnya yang mengandung bahan organik dengan kadar tinggi (lebih dari 16,483 mg/L) langsung ke badan air. Dengan menggunakan teknologi yang tepat, limbah cair ini dapat diolah lebih lanjut untuk menghasilkan produk samping berupa biogas yang mengandunggas methan sebagai substitusi energi pada industri yang bersangkutan. Desa Kalisari merupakan salah satu sentra industri UKM tahu, untuk mengolah limbah cair yang dihasilkan oleh industri-industri ini diperlukan reaktor biogas “anaerobic digester “ dengan kapasitas 20 m3. Hasil pengolahan limbah cair ini, disamping dapat menurunkan kandungan bahan organik yang terkandung, juga sekaligus dapat menghasilkan biogas yang produksinya sangat tergantung pada laju beban (loading rate) yang dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh laju beban dan produksi  biogas yang optimal sebagai dasar untuk mengetahui unjuk kerja optimal (optimum performance) Fixed Bed reactor untuk mengolah limbah cair tahu dari 25 industri tahu rumah tangga. Kata kunci : anarobic, Fixed Bed. AbstractAlmost of food industries such as tofu industry discharge waste water that high organic content in about 16,483 mg/L and the application method of wase water treatment produce side product such as biogas that contain methane gas, that biogas can used  as energy substitution for the industry itself. According to the experienced in the Kalisarivillage there are a lot of small scale tofu industries , and it was built a 20 m3 bio reactor to treat the waste water. The tofu industry waste water is treated anaerobic by using anaerobic digester. Beside, reducing the organic pollutant, it is also produce biogas depend on the organic loading rate which come to the reactor. In this experiment areto find out the optimum of loading rate and also looking for the optimum gas production. According to organic loading rate can be seen the optimum performance of Fixed Bed reactor.The optimum biogas production is used to run the stoves for 25 households. Key word : anarobic, Fixed Bed.

Abstract

Soya bean sauce waste water is a high organic wastewater and has dark color, thereforeit is difficult to degrade it biologically and also in getting clear color.Base on as mentioned above, it is tried to process it with coagulation and flocculationuse Aluminum sulfate and PAC which is added to wastewater with several dosesvariation of Alumunium sulfate: (100, 200, 300. 250) ppm and PAC with doses (50,100, 150, 200) ppm.Experiment result shows that the experiment which use Aluminum sulfate and PAC ascoagulant could give a good quality of processing and suitable with the threshold ofwastewater. The application of floculant Aquaklir 240 could help the performance ofcoagulant that can be seen from the turbidity, suspended solid and flock size form.

Abstract

Generally, food wastewater contains high organic matter, therefore the exact wastewater treatment is biological process by using Fixed Bed reactor in anaerobic system. In this observation , showed the comparison between BOD and COD, mass balance and the forming of methane gas (CH4) with variation of hydraulic retention time 11 days, 7 days, 5 days and 3 days. Based on the observation result, the 11 days hydraulic retention time is the most efficient of reactor performance and the best forming of methane gas (CH4) is the 7 days of hydraulic retention.

Abstract

Fixed Bed Anaerobic reactor that use support material from bamboo ings can be used as waste water biological treatment without oxygen inside reactor. On the experiment that use soybean sauce waste waterwith high organic content.According to the experiment, the optimum performance result was 3.5 days withloading rate 0.71 kg COD/m3.day and bamboo rengs can be used as supportmaterial.

Abstract

The concentration of soft drink contains organic waste water not so high. There foreone of the alternative of processing technology is used aerobic system: Oxydationditch. On this observation can be seen that the system is able to degrade theorganic matter by observe the operation parameters process to operate the systemand the parameters are BOD, COD, TSS, Oil & grease, TDS, Total N and pH. Allparameters show stability process during 3 (three) months operation. Base on thecriteria as mentioned above, the efficiency that can be reached by this system arearound 96,875 % for BOD efficiency, COD 96 % for COD efficiency , TSS 80 %, Oil& grease 75 %, Total N 76,92 % and pH 41 %.

Abstract

Limbah cair yang dihasilkan PT. Van Melle Indonesia (PTVMI), mengundangbahan organik tinggi dengan konsentrasi COD berkisar antara 10.000 – 30.000 mg/L. kandungan bahan organik yang tinggi dapat menimbulkan gangguan bagi perairan, sehingga perlu didegradasi salah satu alternatif teknologi pengolahan limbah yaitu menggunakan reaktor anaerobik lekat diatas terendam. Jenis reaktor ini adalah bioreaktor yang dilengkapi dengan bahan penyangga sebagai tempat massa mikroorganisme tumbuh dan berkembang biak.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat degradasi bahan organik limbah cair industri permen dengan variasi waktu tinggal 18, 14, 12 dan 10 hari yang dioperasikan secara kontinyu. Hasil degradasi bahan organik dengan variasi waktu tinggal terbaik di dapat pada waktu tinggal 12 hari dengan degradasi bahan organik terlarut sebesar 98,07%, pH efluen 6,90, produksi harian biogas 5 L/hari, produksi gas metan 3,25 L/hari dan kandungan gas metan 65%. Plastik yang digunakan sebagai media cukup efektif sebagai tempat menempelnya bakteri dengan porositas 87,30% dan luas permukaan efektif sebesar 514,40 M2/M3.

Abstract

Proses pembenihan (seeding) dan aklimatisasi menggunakan reactor lekatdiam terendam menggunakan media cincin keramik yang menggunakansubstrat limbah cair pabrik permen, memperlihatkan aktivitas bekteri semakinstabil pada hari ke 91 sampai hari ke 99. hal tersebut dapat dilihat daripenyisihan COD sebesar 82 – 86 % konsentrasi gas metan berkisar antara 62 –69 %, rentang pH 6,8 – 7,23 dan bakteri sudah melekat.

Abstract

The organic concentration of soft drink factory waste water has not high organic concentration, therefore one of the alternatives of the treatment technology is using aerobic system : activated sludge. On this observation can be seen that the system can be used as waste water treatment for soft drink that is not so high in COD contain and the criteria parameters design can be fulfilled by process parameters during operation the system. The parameters that are not fulfill the design parameters is caused by the shock loading of toxic material or by the high loading rate of substrate of waste water. Based on parameter criteria as mention above, the efficiency that can be reached of this process is about 61,22%.

Abstract

effluent dari reaktor fixed bed pengolahan limbah cair pembuatantahu masih mengandung organik tinggi dan memiliki banyak padatan tesusensi , sehingga warnaair limbah tidak cukup jernih , dan sulit diturunkan secara anaerob. Tujuan percobaan dari proses ini dalah untuk menghasilkan air limbah untuk embuatan tahu menjadi lebihjernih. berdasarkan alasan diatas, maka dilakukan pengolahan limbah cair dengan menggunakan proses koagolasi menggunakan Alumunium sulfat dan Ca (OH)2 yang ditambahkan ke efluen reaktor fixed bed dengan variasi dosis sulfat Alumunium : mulai dari 0,5; 1,0 ; 1,5; 2,5; 5,0; 7,5 gramdan batuan Ca (OH)2. Akan meningkatkan alkanitas, sampai PH 8.0. Hasil percobaan menunjukan bahwa, percobaan yang menggunakan koagulan Almunium sulfat secukupnya dan penambahan Ca(OH)2 untuk menstabilkan pH, sehingga diperoleh kualitas hasil pengolahan yang baik, dan sesuai dengan perfomance efluen reactor fixed bed yang jernih. Selain itu, aplikasi Ca(OH)2 dapat membantu meningkatkan konerja koagulan yang dapat dilihat dari ukuran flok sedimentasi dari effluen anaerob
