Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the thematic digital al-Qur'an learning model on students' academic achievement in Bandung Regency boarding schools. The method used was a qualitative research method with a field research type. The research location was in one of the boarding schools in Bandung Regency, and the participants in this study were students. This study concluded that using the digital al-Qur'an in religious subjects can positively impact critical thinking skills, understanding, and memory. Using the versions of the Quran can also help students improve their memory. This is because features such as bookmarks, notes, and text highlighting provided by the digital Quran application can make it easier to revise and refer back to materials that have been previously learned. However, further research is needed to confirm these findings, specifically in the context of students.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education Teachers are a fundamental factor that should be imbued with tolerance in the right manner. Therefore, the value of religious moderation needs to be internalized within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. This research aims to determine the religious moderation of PAI teachers in high schools (SMA) and vocational schools (SMK) in Sijunjung District. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection through questionnaires. The aspects examined include: religious moderation of PAI teachers towards minority Islamic sects, religious moderation of PAI teachers towards non-Muslims, and religious moderation of PAI teachers towards local culture (Minangkabau Natural Culture). The research population consists of PAI teachers in SMA and SMK in Sijunjung District, with a sample size of 22 individuals. The research was conducted in August 2023 and indicates that the majority of respondents tend to be moderate. Dominantly moderate responses were obtained regarding religious moderation of PAI teachers towards the local Minangkabau Natural Culture. In contrast, dominant intolerant responses were obtained regarding religious moderation of PAI teachers towards minority Islamic sects and other religions. They view Sunni Muslims as the correct form of Islam, while minority Muslims such as Shia and Ahmadiyya are considered deviant. They also hold the belief that only Muslims can be considered believers, while those of other faiths are considered non-believers, despite the fact that paradise and hell are ultimately determined by Allah's prerogative. They also oppose retail businesses and outsiders, such as people from different ethnic backgrounds, opening businesses in the Minangkabau region.

Abstract

The development of technology and social changes have resulted in a moral crisis among the younger generation. Islamic religious education, as a means of character education, should serve as the primary foundation for shaping one's moral intelligence. Religious literacy represents an understanding derived from religious education. This study aims to analyze the influence of religious literacy on students' moral intelligence in the digital era at SMAN 4 Cimahi. The study employs a quantitative approach. A sample of 120 respondents, who are students of SMAN 4 Cimahi, was collected. Quantitative data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25. Based on the results of the study, the results of the statistical test showed that the t-value was 2.111 t. table 1.658, then H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, so it can be concluded that in general, religious literacy has a positive effect on students' moral intelligence.

Abstract

The concept of sandwich generation that is developing today always has a negative connotation, especially if it is included in the Islamic context, it will not find its equivalent, it even tends to be incompatible with the Islamic point of view which states that sandwich generation gives a heavy burden in taking care of 3 generations at once, namely his parents, himself and his younger brother, many of which cause him mental health and excessive depression because of understanding the concept of sandwich generation like most. Therefore, this research aims to provide a configuration of the concept so that it can be accepted and understood properly in the Islamic point of view. In this research, the author uses qualitative research with a literature study approach or Book Review and also a Qur'anic approach. The result of this research is that the configuration of the concept carried out in the sandwich generation has 3 main points of discussion, namely regarding morals to both parents, to siblings or others, and also belief in sustenance, as well as taking an approach through Al-Qur'an verses and straightening out concepts that can be accepted with a positive connotation in understanding the sandwich generation.

Abstract

Islamic religious education in the family plays a crucial role in shaping character and supporting children's development, particularly during the elementary school years. This study aims to explore and analyze the role of Islamic religious education in families in supporting the achievement of developmental tasks among elementary school-aged children. The research employs a qualitative method with an exploratory descriptive approach, involving in-depth interviews and participatory observations with six families in Sukajadi District, Bandung, with children aged 6 to 12 years who implement religious education at home. The findings reveal that Islamic religious education in the family significantly contributes to shaping children into individuals who are not only academically intelligent but also morally sound and well-prepared to face life's challenges. Children who receive structured religious education demonstrate strong faith, good character, and high social awareness. This study highlights the importance of designing religious education tailored to children's developmental needs, including daily practice-based learning, moral value instruction, and habitual worship activities. These findings offer practical guidance for parents and educators in integrating Islamic religious education to support children's holistic growth and development. The study also recommends further exploration of the implementation of religious education in broader cultural contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious maturity of adolescents with a survey of its review, namely school students so that the process, obstacles, and solutions for developing their religious maturity can be seen. The research design uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method with primary data in journals, books, papers, reports, and proceedings, and secondary data in the form of valid sources from the internet and documentation. After the data is collected, a descriptive and content analysis is carried out to obtain conclusions. The results of the study revealed that religious maturity in adolescence with a survey of its review, namely school students, occurs in three periods, early adolescence, middle adolescence, and late adolescence. In the early adolescent phase, there are doubts, hesitations, and confusion about beliefs in religious teachings and God, entering the middle phase, starting to search, and appreciate the values of religious teachings, and entering the final adolescent phase, their souls are increasingly stable. From the findings, it is known that the religious maturity of school students has not been optimal towards what is expected because, during monotonous religious learning, the problem of teacher competence is lacking, limited time, facilities, and the students themselves. Efforts that can be made are to develop a PAI curriculum, both in terms of design, methods, materials, media, and evaluations that are full of meaning, not justification, and provide opportunities and chances for students to internalize the values of religious teachings based on what they experience from real life.

Abstract

The realization of students who have the Pancasila Student Profile is the goal of the current government. The rise of the three big sins of education, intolerance, and lack of discipline in the environment of elementary school students is a threat to the disintegration of basic education from within. The government is trying to present Pancasila Student Profile learning through various learning media, one of which is through the open book of PAI and Budi Pekerti. The novelty of this research is that it tries to find the values of the Pancasila student profile in PAI and character education textbooks. The purpose of this study is to examine the content of the Pancasila student profile in PAI textbooks used in high schools. This research method uses a qualitative design of literature study. The data sources of this study are divided into two categories: primary and secondary. Primary data sources come from the triangulation process of high school PAI student books, high school PAI teacher books, and regulatory documents regarding PAI learning in high school. While secondary data sources come from several relevant journals. The collected data were then analyzed in accordance with the stages of content analysis. The findings of this study indicate that Pancasila student profiles in PAI textbooks in high school have the most information, especially the dimensions of faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character. The values of each Pancasila student profile are explicitly and implicitly stated in each chapter of the PAI textbook. This study emphasizes that Islamic Religious Education, as one of the subjects mandated by the government, encourages the birth of students who have Pancasila student profiles. The implication of this research suggests that in the future teachers can find out the content of the Pancasila student profile in Islamic Education textbooks so that they can teach the content of the Pancasila student profile optimally
