Abstract

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation can cause various harmful effects in humans, one of which is skin cancer. The use of sunscreen can help reflect UV radiation; however, public knowledge regarding the dangers of UV radiation and the benefits of sunscreen remains limited. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of sunscreen knowledge and sunscreen use behavior among female students of SMA N 1 Cawas. This study employed a quantitative correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 94 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The study was conducted from July 2025 to February 2026 using a questionnaire consisting of 6 knowledge questions and 8 behavior questions. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that all respondents were female, with the majority aged 16 years (61.70%). The most commonly used sunscreen was cream (69.14%), most respondents used SPF ≥30 (91.48%), applied sunscreen using ≥2 finger lengths (56.38%), and had used sunscreen for ≥1 year (81.91%). Most respondents had a good level of knowledge (57.45%) and good sunscreen use behavior (53.19%). Correlation test results showed no significant relationship between the level of sunscreen knowledge and sunscreen use behavior (r = 0.122; p = 0.494). It can be concluded that there was no significant relationship between sunscreen knowledge level and sunscreen use behavior among 11th-grade female students at SMA N 1 Cawas, Klaten Regency.

Abstract

Civil law provides bankruptcy and suspension of debt payment obligations as legal mechanisms for resolving business financing and debt problems. In practice, bankruptcy petitions may involve claims of relatively modest value, even though a bankruptcy declaration can produce consequences that are far more severe, including the termination of the debtor's business activities. This study examines solutions to substantive weaknesses in Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations, particularly in relation to the work of curators and administrators. A socio-legal approach with a descriptive-analytical design is employed. Primary data were obtained through interviews, while secondary data were collected through literature review. The study finds that bankruptcy decisions are strongly based on Article 2 of Law Number 37 of 2004, which does not establish a minimum debt threshold and may therefore create unequal outcomes. The principal substantive weaknesses identified include bankruptcy requirements that tend to favor creditors, PKPU arrangements that provide insufficient support for debtors to maintain their businesses, creditor dominance in PKPU proceedings, and the absence of a financial fresh-start mechanism for debtors who are genuinely unable to repay their obligations.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease requiring continuous management, including appropriate dietary regulation. Limited knowledge of diabetic diets may affect patients’ adherence to dietary recommendations and blood glucose control. This community service program aimed to improve dietary knowledge among patients with type 2 DM and support blood glucose control at Somagede Primary Health Center. The program involved 15 patients with type 2 DM and provided education through lectures and question-and-answer sessions supported by PowerPoint presentations, leaflets, animated videos, and follow-up assistance through a WhatsApp group. Evaluation was conducted using pretests and posttests as well as blood glucose measurements before and after the educational intervention. Before education, 2 participants (13.3%) had good knowledge, 7 (46.7%) had moderate knowledge, and 6 (40.0%) had poor knowledge. After education, the proportion with good knowledge increased to 12 participants (80.0%), while 3 (20.0%) had moderate knowledge and none had poor knowledge. Blood glucose measurements also showed an increase in participants with levels <140 mg/dL, from 8 participants (53.3%) before education to 13 participants (86.7%) after education. Multimodal dietary education was followed by improved participant knowledge and a descriptive improvement in blood glucose profiles. Regular and continuous dietary education should be maintained as part of type 2 DM management in primary health care settings.
