Abstract

Comics are a tool that can be used as a media to improve communication skills through the various graphic illustrations conined in them. In the realm of education, especially in mathematics lessons, comics can be used as a learning media that can improve student mathematical communication skills. In this research, researchers developed digital comic media or E-Comath (Electronic Comic Mathematics) in scale material on a floor plans in class V students at SD Negeri Sindang III through the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. In this research, the instruments used were interviews, media and material validation sheets, tests in the form of written questions, and student responsee questionnaires. The validation results show that the E-Comath is valid and suitable for use with an average media assessment percentage of 95,8% and an average material assessment percentage of 98,7% in the very good category. E-Comath media can also increase mathematical communication skills of 0,46                                        which is calculated using the N-Gain formula, and is included in the moderate improvement category, so it is effective to use. Apart from that, E-Comath media received a positive response  from students to be used as a learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of TGT type cooperative learning using the GASING method on students' understanding of the mathematical concept of multiplying two numbers. This research uses quantitative research methods with a quasi-experimental research type and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population taken was all elementary schools in South Sumedang District, with the research sample being class IV students at SDN Sukaraja I, totaling 60 students. The research instrument is a test in the form of essay questions regarding understanding the mathematical concept of multiplying two numbers. The validity of the instrument is carried out through expert judgment on several experts and testing the instrument on students who then carry out validity and reliability tests. The data were analyzed by comparing the gain values of the control and experimental classes which had been carried out by normality tests, homogeneity tests and research hypothesis tests. The results of this research show that TGT cooperative learning using the GASING method has an influence on understanding the mathematical concept of multiplying two numbers as evidenced by an increase of 0.56 in the experimental class, higher than the increase in the control class of 0.26.

Abstract

Memajukan dan menyetarakan kualitas pendidikan di wilayah kepulauan masih menjadi tantangan, terutama terkait dengan keterbatasan akses terhadap pengembangan profesional guru dan pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran mutakhir. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di wilayah Pulau Tidung, Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta, dalam menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam dengan berbantuan kecerdasan artifisial sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang mendorong pemahaman mendalam dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan daring dan luring, pendampingan praktik pembelajaran, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 48 guru di Pulau Tidung Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, dengan perbandingan rerata skor hasil pre-test 75,61 dan rerata skor hasil post-test menjadi 80,15. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan sistem bauran dengan pendekatan experiential learning dapat menjadi solusi strategis dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru untuk implementasi pembelajaran mendalam di daerah kepulauan.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar terhadap materi metamorfosis menunjukkan perlunya inovasi terhadap media yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar yang diintegrasikan dengan karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Android bernama SIMADU (Sistem Informasi Metamorfosis Animasi Digital Update), serta mengukur kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep metamorfosis pada siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahap: analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah 31 siswa kelas III disalah satu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Pamulihan, Kabupaten Sumedang. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan media menunjukkan bahwa SIMADU sangat layak digunakan, dengan rata-rata skor validasi 94% dan 93%. Respons siswa menunjukkan kategori sangat layak, dengan persentase 96,61%. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 34,00 pada pretest menjadi 79,13 pada posttest, dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,69 pada kategori sedang mendekati tinggi. SIMADU terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep metamorfosis secara lebih konkret, visual, dan interaktif, sesuai tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21 dan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the demands for the readiness of elementary school teachers and students to face the Merdeka Curriculum, one of which is the demand for HOTS- based learning. The implementation of HOTS-based learning requires an evaluation using HOTS- based test questions as well. The objectives are, 1) to analyze and examine the readiness of teachers in supporting the implementation of HOTS-based learning and its evaluation using HOTS-based test instruments, and 2) to analyze and examine how students' readiness to receive HOTS-based tests, especially in mathematics. This study used the survey method. The survey was conducted on 172 teachers and 154 high grade students in West Java, Indonesia. The instrument used questionnaires, for teachers distributed through Google Form, while for students using paper questionnaires that were filled in manually. Research results: 1) Elementary school teachers aren’t fully prepared to implement HOTS-based learning, there are still misconceptions of teachers' understanding of HOTS learning; 2) In Mathematics, there are still many students who aren’t ready to accept the presence of HOTS-based test questions, because they haven’t mastered basic arithmetic skills. This is the biggest obstacle for students to be able to absorb, accept, and solve HOTS-based math questions as an evaluation standard in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The 21st century is the era that involves the use of digital devices. Thus, pre-service teachers demand to have many competencies, which in this case is digital literacy competency. There are four digital literacy competencies: digital skills, digital culture, digital ethics, and digital safety. This study employs a qualitative method of research design with a study case. The data were collected by conducting interviews. The analysis in this study was carried out by making a detailed description of the digital literacy competencies of primary school teacher education students and adding a detailed view of the aspects in the research. The participants in this study were 30 primary school teacher education students at a university in Sumedang Regency. The results reveal that mastering digital skills will help daily life work; mastering digital culture will help preserve culture and protect creation; mastering digital ethics will avoid many conflicts; and mastering digital safety can be aware of many crimes in the digital world. Students as prospective teachers are expected to know, and understand and master digital literacy for future teaching.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adakah miskonsepsi di kalangan guru-guru SD di Kabupaten Sumedang terhadap pemahaman tentang pembelajaran berbasis HOTS. Hal ini sebagai tindak lanjut mulai dilaksanakannya Kurikulum Merdeka di wilayah Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei terhadap guru-guru SD yang berada di wilayah Jawa Barat. Ada 172 sampel guru SD, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan yang mengisi survei, berasal dari Kabupaten Majalengka, Kabupaten Cirebon, Bogor, Tasikmalaya, Kota Bandung, Sumedang, Garut, dan wilayah lainnya di Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam survei terdiri dari 10 pertanyaan dengan pilihan jawaban benar, salah, dan ragu-ragu, serta 2 pertanyaan terbuka, yang diisi melalui aplikasi Google Form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Masih terdapat miskonsepsi guru SD terhadap pemahaman tentang pembelajaran HOTS (54,7%); dan 2) Para guru SD masih mengalami miskonsepsi antara pemahaman tentang pembelajaran HOTS dan pemahaman tentang soal-soal HOTS. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya diadakan semacam seminar dan workshop, bagaimana mengenalkan konsep pembelajaran berbasis HOTS, serta memberikan pemahaman perbedaan mendasar dengan istilah soal-soal HOTS, sebagai bekal dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka.
