Abstract

The goals of this research were to get information and data on the management and implementation of library in Early Childhood Education Program, Faculty of Education, State University of Jakarta; to exploring the factors that supports the management of libraries in Early Childhood Education Program; and to improve the effectiveness of the library as a learning resource for lecturers and students in Department of Early Childhood Education. The research used descriptive qualitative research method. The results of research indicates that to improve management of the library and the effectiveness of as a learning resource for lecturers and students can get by providing good services to the user. The library services can be done well if supported by all elements of the library such as collections, facilities, professional staff, and awareness of users to use a library. Some improvement at managerial should be done. Thus, the library of Department can act more effectively as a source of learning for lecturers and students of Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the social skills of 4-5 years’ children in learning center model. The study took place at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) of Istiqlal, Central Jakarta and focused on learning social skills of 4-5 years’ children on the basics of adaptation skill, cooperative skills, sharing skill, and communication skills. As a qualitative study, the data were collected by direct observation, interviewing teacher and headmaster, and documentation. The result of the study provided the description social skills of the 4-5 years children in the four aspects predetermined before.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of social influence on performance expectation, motivation, and attitude, and its implication on intention of kindergarten students to adopt a Tablet PC. In this study, a projective technique was employed. The projective technique is a method used by participants to measure third persons’ behavior. Data was collected in March-April 2016 in Jakarta, involving 210 kindergarten students’ parents. Data was analyzed using an exploratory and structural equation model. Based on the calculation, the Tablet PC adoption intention is affected by performance expectation while performance expectation is affected by social influence. Furthermore, adoption intention is also affected by attitude towards adoption. Recommendations for educators, practitioners, and future study are discussed.

Abstract

Cases of sexual violence in children are very apprehensive so that they make parents become more alert and frightened about their children safety. This research discusses how important communication between parents and children is, particularly the stage of early childhood, to give them understanding of self-protection. Communication has to be built from early childhood due to the fact that there will be a good relationship between parents and children. For families who have problems with unnatural characteristics and children who need to be taken care, then their family problems are the first things to overcome. A child who does not have a father or mother becomes a priority to be paid more attention by government. For families who have abilities in taking care children well and having sufficient knowledge to teach and protect them from violence and harassment, then communication between parents and children is necessary, through sex education for them, honest disclosure, harmonic interpersonal communication, the use of good language, and motivation to be independent. Barriers in communication in a family can be overcome by providing time to communicate, creating an attitude of openness, mutual respect, appreciation, and supportive attitude toward children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memberdayakan kader PAUD/PKK dalam membangun kebersamaan kelompok melalui tindakan pelatihan karawitan berbasis lagu dolanan tradisional Jawa agar terjadi penguatan nilai-nilai kehidupan pada kader PAUD di Kelurahan Caturtunggal Kecamatan Depok Sleman. Subjek penelitian adalah kader PAUD/PKK sebanyak 35 orang, dengan pilihan metode penelitian tindakan kelompok kader PAUD/PKK (participation action research). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindakan pelatihan karawitan dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai kehidupan seperti kerjasama, disiplin, tanggungjawab, percaya diri, toleransi, saling berbagi pengalaman, saling menolong, dan saling menghargai satu sama lain.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of interactive and interactive ppt learning media (external factors) and high and low spatial intelligence (internal factors) on mathematics teaching results in Malang Ibtidaiyah madrasah/ elementary school. The affordable population is the entire regular first graders of the 2021/2022 school year consisting of 5 parallel classes with 120 students. Sampling from the people is done randomly regardless of the strata present in the population. The determination of practical classes and control classes is done by drawn two categories drawn in the existing class's research. This study was conducted on first graders divided into two groups: the group of students given treatment and the group that served as control. The results of students' spatial intelligence instruments determine groups with high spatial intelligence and groups with low spatial intelligence. The study results show no difference in mathematics learning results towards students given the treatment of learning between video tutorials and interactive powerpoint text. While students who have exceptional low Intelligence and high Intelligence, there are differences in learning outcomes.

Abstract

Zaman telah berkembang dengan pesat, beragam penemuan dan kemajuan teknologi sudah semakin nyata dan berdampak pada setiap aspek lini kehidupan. Perubahan zaman yang ditandai dengan kemajuan teknologi, seperti kecanggihan big data, internet of things,mobile technology seperti smartphone, smart home, VR, AI dan lainnya. Kemajuan teknologi tidak hanya berdampak pada sektor ekonomi, namun juga berdampak pada sektor lingkungan terkecil, yaitu lingkungan keluarga. Keluarga yang terdiri dari orang tua, anak dan saudara lainnya, menjadi bagian dari unsur anggota keluarga yang mudah terpapar perangkat teknologi digital. Mereka telah dekat dengan kemudahan, kecepatan, dan kemajuan ragam teknologi. Akan tetapi, dibalik kecanggihan dan kemudahan yang diberikan, ada peluang untuk tumbuhnya ragam kejahatan cyber dan terhambat nya ragam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Perangkat teknologi telah ada dalam setiap ruangan dan aktivitas bermain anak. Tantangannya adalah, bagaimana sebagai orang tua bisa menyiapkan anak usia dini untuk bisa beradaptasi dengan teknologi. Digital Parenting merupakan satu istilah yang dikaji dalam artikel ini, bahwa orang tua tidak hanya harus melek teknologi namun sebaliknya, orang tua yang gemar akan teknologi pun akan secara tidak langsung menghambat kualitas interaksi hubungan orang tua dan anak. Tujuan dari artikel ini akan membahas tentang kiat dan cara praktis bagi orang tua millennial yang sedang mengasuh anak usia dini nya. Dimana anak usia dini ini adalah anak generasi Z yang di didik oleh orang tua generasi millennial (generasi Y) yang notabene gemar akan teknologi. Harapannya adalah orang tua yang mempunyai anak usia dini bisa menerapkan pola pengasuhan dan parenting yang tepat, yang pada akhimya mampu menjadikan anak usia dini tidak menjadi generasi “Lost Child” atau kehilangan masa bermain kanak-kanaknya..

Abstract

JAVANESE TEMBANG MUSIC AS A CHARACTER EDUCATION MEDIA. The purpose of this study was to study about Dolanan Song can be character media or develop character in Sidogemah Village. Dolanan song is a tradition in Sidogemah Village to develop the character of young children. This research was carried out for 6 months, housed in Sidogemah Village, Sayung Subdistrict, Demak Regency Data collection techniques using the method of observation, documentation, and interview. This research used etnography method with descriptive qualitative. Then the results are obtained that Dolanan song is a song from generation to generation in the land of Java, containing deep meaning. Parenthood is conveyed by parents to children as a form of character education. The process of character education by parents of children in Sidogemah Village, Sayung Subdistrict, Demak Regency is developed before going to sleep, at school, and when children play. The process of character building of children through dolanan song in Sidogemah Village, Sayung District, Demak Regency can be classified into three, namely knowing, doing and caring.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the process and results of improve early reading ability children in group B TK Sehati Kalideres District, Jakarta Barat through media bulletin board. The subjects of this study were 16 children. This research method is based on the Research Action Class Action Research model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which includes four stages: planning, action and observation, reflection. This action research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of 8 meetings. The collected data used in this action research was interview, observation and documentation. Teknik data analysis used in this research is the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. The result of study revealed that the increase of early reading ability children through media bulletin board. The development level of the achievement of the focused attention gained by the children in pre-cycle was 44. At the first cycle, the score was 52. Additionally, in the second cycle, the result was 62,125. This study revealed that the media-bulletin board constitutes as one of the means to increase the children’s early reading ability. Abstrak Penelitian tindakan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses dan hasil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak kelompok B TK Sehati Kecamatan Kalideres Jakarta Barat melalui penerapan media bulletin board. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart, yang meliputi perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B TK Sehati yang berjumlah 16 orang anak. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari delapan pertemuan pada setiap siklus.. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan anak mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkan media bulletin board. Skor kemampuan membaca permulaan anak pada pra siklus sebesar 44, siklus I sebesar 52, dan siklus II sebesar 62,125. Hasil tersebut memberikan implisasi bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan media bulletin board. Kata kunci: Early Reading Ability, Bulletin Board, Action Research

Abstract

Masalah-masalah berkenaan dengan lingkungan merupakan isu global yang menuntut perhatian dari berbagai sektor termasuk pendidikan. Pendidikan lingkungan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menangani masalah lingkungan yang muncul saat ini. Namun demikian pada tataran operasional di sekolah yakni pada tingkat implementasi umumnya masih kurang adanya model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi acuan untuk guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran pendidikan lingkungan khususnya pada Anak Usia Dini. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (Abdimas) ini dilakukan introduksi terhadap para guru SD berjumlah 20 orang di Kecamatan Tambun Utara yakni: SD Negeri Karang Satria 01, SD Negeri Karang Satria 04, SD Negeri Karang Satria 02, dan SD Negeri Ganda Mekar 01. Tujuan kegiatan Abdimas adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru SD di Kecamatan Tambun Utara melalui implementasi pembelajaran portofolio dengan instruksi guru dalam rangka meningkatkan kepedulian lingkungan peserta didik. Metode Abdimas yang digunakan adalah memadukan workshop dan pendampingan praktek di sekolah selama 3 bulan, yakni: dari bulan Februari-April 2018. Data hasil Abdimas dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengungkap 3 aspek pembelajaran portofolio, yakni: keterampilan perencanaan (5 indikator), keterampilan melaksanakan pembelajaran (4 indikator), dan keterampilan evaluasi afektif (3 indikator). Data hasil Abdimas dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Dari hasil kegiatan Abdimas diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: Pertama, peningkatan kategori baik pada aspek perencanaan antara lain: analisis KD untuk menetapkan tema sesuai potensi lokal (40%), menyusun lembar portofolio (20%), menyusun tabulasi rekap data (35%), menyusun rencana pembelajaran (20%), dan menyusun kisi-kisi dan instrumen kepedulian lingkungan (45%). Kedua, peningkatan kategori baik pada aspek pembelajaran antara lain: keterampilan mengidentifikasi aktifitas kepedulian lingkungan (25%), keterampilan memberikan instruksi kerja (15%), keterampilan memfasilitasi diskusi kelompok (20%), dan keterampilan mengklarifikasi hasil diskusi (30%). Ketiga, peningkatan kategori baik pada aspek evaluasi pembelajaran antara lain: keterampilan merekap data (45%), keterampilan mengintepretasi data (40%), dan keterampilan mengkonversi skor kuesioner ke nilai kompetensi afektif (45%). Secara keseluruhan para guru SD yang telah memperoleh introduksi pembelajaran portofolio disertai instruksi guru mengalami peningkatan kompetensinya dalam hal perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran portofolio.
