Abstract

This study focuses on the existence of significant differences in the ability to understand concepts between students who are taught by contextual teaching and learning and cooperative learning methods, there are significant differences in the ability to understand concepts between students who have a concrete sequential thinking style, abstract sequential, concrete random, and abstract randomization, as well as the interaction between learning methods and thinking styles on the ability to understand the concepts of Civics subjects for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 57 and 49 Surabaya. This type of research is experimental research. Quasi-experimental research design using a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 57 and 49 Surabaya for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample used a sampling technique with details of 72 students in the experimental class and 70 students in the control class. The data collection method is to use a student thinking style test instrument and a test of the ability to understand "Strengthening National Commitment." Methods of data analysis using Two Way Anava. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the treatment of students who are taught using the contextual teaching and learning method compared to the cooperative learning method. There are differences in the ability to understand concepts in students who have concrete sequential, abstract sequential, random concrete, and random abstract thinking styles between groups of students who are treated with the contextual teaching and learning method compared to the cooperative learning method. There is interaction between learning methods and thinking styles on the ability to understand concepts as a result of each different characteristic of each student in terms of their respective thinking styles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the use of differentiated learning and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Mathematics class XI at SMA GIKI – 1 Surabaya. The focus of the problems raised includes: (1) whether there is a significant influence between the use of differentiated learning compared to expository learning on Mathematics learning outcomes; (2) whether high and low levels of learning motivation affect student learning outcomes; and (3) whether there is an interaction between learning strategies and learning motivation on Mathematics learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi experiment methods and 2x2 factorial design. The research sample consisted of students in grade XI of SMA GIKI-1 Surabaya who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used include learning outcome tests to measure students' academic achievement and learning motivation questionnaires to classify students' motivation levels. The data obtained was analyzed using two-way ANOVA to determine the influence of each variable and its interactions. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant influence between the use of differentiated learning strategies on students' Mathematics learning outcomes compared to expository learning; (2) students with high learning motivation have better learning outcomes compared to students with low motivation; and (3) there is a significant interaction between learning strategies and the level of learning motivation on student learning outcomes. These findings indicate the importance of applying adaptive learning approaches and strengthening motivation in improving Mathematics learning achievement at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based differentiated learning media as a means of supporting mathematics learning, especially on statistics material for Vocational High School (SMK) level students. This learning media is designed to suit the various learning styles of students-visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-and to improve critical thinking skills through the integration of information technology and digital media in the learning process. The method used follows the development model (ADDIE) which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, by integrating various types of media, such as ebooks, learning videos, and educational games. The results showed that the media developed averaged 91% expert test and 92.25% peer test, this means that the teaching materials are feasible to be applied to learning activities and are able to provide varied learning experiences and in accordance with the learning characteristics of students, thus having a positive impact on their motivation and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction between the use of kahoot media and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects at SMA Al Islam Krian. With the implementation of this research, it is hoped that it can have several benefits, such as the potential to produce valuable insights and expand insights in academic courses. Especially related to the use of information technology is the understanding of how learning motivation and the application of Kahoot affect student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. The research paradigm used in this study is a quantitative approach. The experimental research design used was Quasi Experimental Design - Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The control class was only given treatment using power point, while the experimental class received treatment in the form of free variables, namely Kahoot application media (X) and learning outcomes (Y) were bound variables or variables that were changed in this study. The value of mathematics learning outcomes is considered to be influenced by the element of student learning motivation. Therefore, the researcher included a moderate variable (M), namely the student's motivation to learn. In this study, the research population is 431 students in class XI Special Class and Class XI Regular, then the research sample is students in class XI-4 (Special Class) as an experimental class totaling 36 students and class XI-10 (Regular Class) which is a control class of 36 students. The research instruments used were questionnaires and tests. Meanwhile, to analyze the data, the researcher used a 2-path annova analysis. Based on the results of the 2-path anova test, the significance value of interaction between learning media and learning motivation was 0.016 < 0.05 so that it can be interpreted that there is an interaction between kahoot learning media and student learning motivation on student learning outcomes

Abstract

Enhancing Students' Problem-Solving Abilities: The Role of Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Learning Motivation. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and learning motivation on students' problem-solving abilities at the secondary education level. Methods: This study uses a quantitative approach with SmartPLS 4 data analysis techniques to test the relationship between the variables involved. The research sample consisted of students at the secondary education level who were divided into three experimental groups. Each group received project-based learning (PjBL), problem-based learning (PBL) interventions, as well as the influence of learning motivation as a factor influencing students' problem-solving abilities. Findings: The results of the study indicate that both PjBL and PBL have a positive and significant effect on students' problem-solving abilities. In addition, learning motivation has also been shown to have an important role in strengthening the development of students' problem- solving abilities. These findings indicate that project-based and problem-based learning can improve students' skills in solving complex problems. Conclusion: The findings of this study provide evidence that Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning methods can be effective alternatives to improve students' problem-solving abilities. Learning motivation also plays a crucial role in supporting the learning process. Therefore, it is important for teachers to create a learning environment that can motivate students to be more active and participate. By combining these two methods, students are expected to develop critical and creative thinking skills, which are very much needed in facing challenges in the real world. Further research is needed to explore other factors that may affect students' problem-solving abilities, such as social and emotional factors. Keywords: PjBL, PBL, problem-solving ability, learning motivation.

Abstract

With the development of technology and understanding of how humans learn throughout life that places education as a dynamic and continuous process and involves all aspects of life, learning innovation will be an integral part in improving the education system. Quality education is a learning designed to provide learning experiences to students that not only convey learning facts and concepts, but involves developing skills, attitudes, and building character and values that can support the growth of students as knowledgeable, creative and responsible individuals in society (Habaridota, 2023). In today's digital and technological era, the use of teaching materials is an important part of the learning process to achieve the expected competencies and increase effectiveness and motivation in learning (Wahyudi, 2022) (Novayana et al., 2021). gaps in the use of teaching materials used in the learning process in conventional science subjects so that learning is still monotonous centered on students, then interactive teaching materials are indispensable in helping the involvement of students in the learning process (Puspasari, 2022). Based on the gaps that arise in the learning process, researchers will develop canva-based teaching materials to overcome problems in science subjects related to providing interactive teaching material references that can be used in the learning process to encourage students to optimally involve students in the grade 4 science learning process at SDN Daleman 2 Galis District. In research on the development of Canva-based interactive teaching materials refers to the ADDIE model. Systematically prepared based on the independent curriculum in the grade 4 basic education unit at SDN Daleman 2 Galis District, which is adjusted to the characteristics of the learning material and the characteristics of students.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan permainan berjudul Hanzi Bihua menggunakan prosedur penelitian milik Borg and Gall dengan metode pengembangan produk ADDIE oleh Molenda. Data penelitian pengembangan media ini adalah kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan instrumen angket. Pengembangan media ini telah divalidasi layak oleh ahli desain, ahli materi, dan ahli media. Subjek penelitian adalah 66 peserta didik kelas 2 SD JAC Surabaya yang dibagi dalam tiga kelompok ujicoba: kelompok kecil, sedang, dan besar. Hasil uji coba media pada kelompok kecil dan sedang adalah layak dengan revisi. Sedangkan hasil uji coba kelompok besar adalah layak tanpa revisi. Sehingga media ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Learning statistics material is considered difficult by students. One technique to improve understanding and problem solving abilities in statistics material is the polya step. The aim of this research is to describe statistics learning with polya-based worksheets in junior high school students. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 32 students consisting of 15 male students and 17 female students. The instruments of this research are test sheets, teacher observation sheets and student observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The criteria for the success of this research are classical completeness more than equal to 75 and observation results in the good category. Based on the research results, it was obtained that the results of observing teacher activities were in the very good category, the results of student observations in the good category and classical completeness were 93.75%. The conclusion in this research is learning using media polya based worksheet with steps to understand the problem, prepare a plan, carry out the plan and check again. ABSTRAKPembelajaran pada materi statistika dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Salah satu teknik meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam materi statistika adalah dengan langkah polya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripskan pembelajaran statistika dengan LKS berbasis polya di siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 32 siswa yang terdiri 15 siswa laki-laki dan 17 siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar tes, lembar observasi guru dan lembar observasi siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.Kriteria keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah ketuntasan klasikal lebih dari sama dengan 75 dan hasil observasi pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil observasi kegiatan guru pada kategori sangat baik, hasil observasi siswa pada kategori baik dan ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 93,75%. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembeljaran dengan media LKS berbasis polya dengan langkah-langkah memahami masalah, menyusun rencana,melaksankan rencana dan mengecek kembali.

Abstract

Guru dituntut dalam belajar mengajar, harus menguasai beberapa komponen yang sangat penting yaitu Penelitian dan Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS). Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut guru harus dibekali dengan kemampuan membuat Penelitian dan Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS). Sebagian besar guru SMPN 7 Kelurahan Perak Barat, Kecamatan Krembangan Kota Surabaya merasa kesulitan dalam membuat dan memanfaatkan Penelitian dan Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS). PKM ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui membuat Penelitian atau karya Ilmiah yang baik dan benar, (2) mengetahui cara Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS),(3) mengetahui jenis-jenis Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS) yang bereputasi nasional dan international, dan (4) mengetahui Aplikasi Sinta untuk Publikasi karya Ilmiah di Open Journal System (OJS). Mitra PKM ini adalah guru-guru di SMPN 7 Kelurahan Perak Barat, Kecamatan Krembangan Kota Surabaya. Pengaplikasian kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM) dilaksanakan secara luring dan daring. Kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan dapat dinilai cukup baik, dilihat dari keberhasilan target jumlah peserta pelatihan dinilai cukup baik, ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan dinilai baik, ketercapaian target materi yang telah direncanakan dinilai baik, dan kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi dinilai baik.

Abstract

At the vocational school level, pneumatic basic competency is one of the basic competencies in the Electronic Control Systems subject. This basic competency is fundamental and must be mastered by class XI SMK students in the Industrial Electronics Engineering Skills Competency. This research aims to produce basic pneumatic interactive learning media in the form of an interactive CD that is suitable for the Electronic Control Systems subject for class XI students at SMKN 1 Jetis Mojokerto. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research to produce a learning product that suits your needs. The research steps refer to the Borg and Gall  model to produce systematic and structured research. Meanwhile, the steps for developing interactive learning media using Adobe Flash in electronic control system subjects, pneumatic basics material refers to the ADDIE model to produce quality learning media that suits learning needs. Interactive Learning Media Using Adobe Flash in the Subject of Electronic Control Systems, this pneumatic material was validated by design experts, media experts, material experts, colleagues and students. The design expert validation results obtained a percentage of 88.18% in the very valid category, media expert validation obtained a percentage of 85.71% in the very valid category, material expert validation obtained a percentage of 89.23% in the very valid category, peer assessment obtained the percentage was 92.5% with a very valid category, small group product trials involving 5 students were 90%, medium group trials of 9 students were 90.22%, large group trials by 36 students got a percentage of 91.00 %, while for field trials involving 70 students with a percentage of 91.04%. So this media is said to be very valid and feasible and can be used as an alternative media in learning. This study contributes to improving vocational education by developing interactive learning media for pneumatic basics, which enhances student engagement and competency in electronic control systems.
