Abstract

Based on the poor dribbling abilities of SSB Karya Muda Tanjung Pinang pupils, this study was conducted. The following are the objectives of this study: (1) to compare dribbling skills trained with drill methods and small side games (SSG); (2) to compare dribbling skills with low and high coordination; (3) to compare coordination abilities with training methods; (4) to compare dribbling skills trained with drill methods and SSG; and (5) to compare dribbling skills trained with drill methods and SSG.The type of research used is quasi-experimental. Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample, which included 32 students between the ages of 9 and 12. Instruments used: dribbling test and KTK. Data were analyzed using a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique with a 2x2 factorial design. Research results: 1) There are differences in the dribbling technique abilities of students in the SSG and drill training strategy groups (p < 0.05). 2) There is a difference in the dribbling technique abilities of students in the high and low coordination groups (p < 0.05). 3) There is an interaction between training strategy and coordination (p < 0.05). 4) There are differences in the dribbling technical abilities of students in the SSG and drill strategy groups with high coordination (Qcount 15.99 < Qtable 3.85). 5) There are differences in the dribbling technical abilities of students who are given SSG and drill training strategies with coordination (Qcount 6.27 < Qtable 3.85). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Physical Education (PE) learning in instilling and familiarizing positive character values in elementary school children. Character education is becoming increasingly important in the challenging era of globalization, where the flow of foreign cultures and the influence of social media can hinder the development of children's character. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach involving 20 students, 5 parents of students, 2 teachers, and 1 principal at Elementary School Angkasa I Lanud Sutan Syahrir Padang. Data were collected through observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that PE activities are an effective medium in instilling character values such as discipline, cooperation, and responsibility. Teachers act as role models in teaching these values, while parental support strengthens character habits outside of school. Although effective, there are several challenges in its implementation, such as time constraints and lack of training for teachers. This study conveys that PE has great potential to contribute to the formation of a young generation that is not only physically healthy but also strong in character.

Abstract

Physical fitness is essential for the physical and mental development of elementary school students. However, the rising trend of sedentary lifestyles has limited students’ participation in physical activities. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an outbound-based physical activity model in improving the physical fitness of elementary school students. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach was employed. The participants consisted of 100 elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using physical fitness tests, questionnaires, and observations, and analyzed using paired t-tests and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The results revealed that students in the experimental group who participated in the outbound program showed a significant improvement in physical fitness compared to those in the control group who received conventional instruction (p < 0.05). Furthermore, students in the experimental group demonstrated higher levels of engagement and motivation toward physical activities. These findings suggest that the outbound-based physical activity model is an effective alternative approach to enhancing physical fitness in elementary school students, while also fostering improvements in social skills and motivation.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of learning methods and student motivation on participation in Physical, Sport, and Health Education (PJOK) at SMK N 1 Tanjungpinang. The impetus for this research stems from observations indicating a low level of physical fitness among the student body, potentially attributable to a variety of factors, including pedagogical approaches and motivational levels. This quasi-experimental study involved 36 participants, selected based on pre- defined criteria. Physical fitness was assessed using the TKJI instrument, while motivation data were collected via a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 2x2 factorial design. The results of the study and data analysis showed that: 1) There is a difference in physical fitness of students who are given the playing and jigsaw methods with a Sig value of 0.016 <0.05. 2) There is an interaction between learning methods and motivation on physical fitness, the Sig value between learning strategies and coordination skills is 0.000 < 0.05. 3) There is a difference in the level of physical fitness between students who are given the playing method and the jigsaw method at high learning motivation with a Qcount value of 14.54 > Qtable 3.85. 4) There is a difference in the level of physical fitness between students who are given the playing method and the jigsaw method at low learning motivation with a Qcount value of -2.65 < Qtable 3.85

Abstract

Improving the quality of physical, sports, and health education (PJOK) is an important factor in the formation of a healthy and competent young generation. In Tanah Datar Regency, PJOK teachers and the management of the Indonesian Sports Scholars Association (ISORI) play a strategic role in advancing sports education. However, there are obstacles in the implementation of routine training, the use of learning technology, and the limitations of adequate sports facilities. This study aims to analyze efforts to improve the quality of PJOK teachers and ISORI administrators in Tanah Datar Regency, with a focus on education, training, the role of administrators, sports facilities, and their impact on students. Methods This research uses a quantitative approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation studies to get a comprehensive picture of the quality of PJOK education and the role of ISORI administrators. The results show that most PJOK teachers have participated in the training, although the implementation is less structured and the use of technology is still low. ISORI administrators are actively holding trainings and seminars, despite coordination and resource constraints. Most schools have adequate sports facilities, but some still need the government's attention. Improving the quality of teachers and the ISORI program has been proven to increase student motivation, participation, achievement, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. In conclusion, improving the quality of PJOK teachers and ISORI administrators plays an important role in advancing sports education in Tanah Datar Regency. Continuous training, improved coordination, and the provision of adequate facilities are needed to achieve this goal. The impact is not only seen in the improvement of student achievement, but also in the formation of a sustainable healthy lifestyle

Abstract

The problem of the research is the low learning outcomes of Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) at SMA Negeri 16 Batam. The low learning outcomes of students can be caused by several determinant factors, including learning motivation, socioeconomic status, and physical fitness. The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of learning motivation, socioeconomic status, and physical fitness on the learning outcomes of physical education, sports, and student health. This type of research is using a quantitative method with a path analysis approach. The population of this study is 247 grade XII students at SMAN 16 Batam. The sample withdrawal in this study used the Total Sampling Technique as many as 247 respondents. Data is collected using instruments. PJOK learning outcomes from the second semester (even) grades of PJOK subjects, learning motivation and socioeconomic status through questionnaires, then physical fitness through the archipelago student fitness test (TKPN) which has been standardized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2022 which consists of 5 tests, namely: a, Body Mass Index (BMI), b, V Sit and Reach, c, Sit Up 60 seconds, d,  Squat Thrust 30 seconds, e, Pacer Test. The results of the study showed that 1) there was a direct influence of learning motivation on PJOK learning outcomes, 2) there is a direct influence of socioeconomic status on PJOK learning outcomes, 3) there is a direct influence of physical fitness on PJOK learning outcomes, 4) there is an indirect influence between learning motivation, socioeconomic status, and physical fitness simultaneously on PJOK learning outcomes. This can be interpreted that students' PJOK learning outcomes can increase by increasing learning motivation, socioeconomic status, and maximizing students' physical fitness
