Abstract

Background: Engagement and sports success are two important aspects for young athletes in various sports including table tennis, but there is still limited research reporting on factors that can influence these two aspects. Objectives: This study investigates the relationship between coach support and exercise habits with engagement and sports success among young table tennis athletes. Methods: This study adopted a correlational research method to reveal the relationship between each variable. Participants included young table tennis athletes (n = 50), who were assigned to complete questionnaires on coach support, exercise habits, engagement, and sports success. Finding/Results: The study results are as follows. First, a strong positive correlation was observed ranging from r = 0.72* to r = 0.95*, indicating that higher levels of perceived coach support are associated with greater engagement. Meanwhile, correlations ranged from from r = 0.48* to r = 0.87*, indicating a moderate to strong relationship between coach support and sports success. Second, a significant correlation was found, ranging from r = 0.45* to r = 0.92*, demonstrating that consistent exercise habits contribute to higher engagement. Meanwhile, correlations ranged from r = 0.45* to r = 0.87*, indicating a moderate to strong relationship between exercise habits with sports sports. Conclusion:  The results highlight the importance of coach support and exercise habits in fostering engagement and enhancing sports success among young table tennis athletes. A limitation of our study is the relatively small number of participants, consisting only of young table tennis athletes. Therefore, we recommend that future research include participants from other sports, such as tennis, badminton, or sepak takraw.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of E-modules in physical education sports and health subjects in improving the learning outcomes of junior high school students. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model. The population in this study came from students of SMP Negeri 34 Kerinci. The research sample came from 2 classes, namely class VII B as an experimental class) and class VII C as a control class. The data collection technique is random sampling. The instruments used are tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS version 21 application. The results showed a T-Test value of 0.00 <0.5. These findings explain that the development of e-modules is very effective in increasing student knowledge in physical education, sports , and health learning subjects. Furthermore, the development of this E-module helps students be more creative and innovative in learning

Abstract

Bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana peranan kepala sekolah terhadap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran penjasorkes pada SD Negeri gugus IV kecamatan Lubuk Basung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif karena menggambarkan suatu variabel tentang peranan kepala sekolah terhadap pembelajaran penjasorkes di SD Negeri gugus IV sebagaimana adanya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini 20 orang kepala skolah SD Negeri gugus IV kecamatan Lubuk Basung. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini 20 orang kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada setiap sampel. Data yang telah dikumpulkan diolah dengan menggunakan rumus distribusi frekuensi atau teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perencanaa pembelajaran penjasorkes berada ditingkat cukup dengan presentase jawaban 85% dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran penjasorkes berada pada tingkat cukup dengan presentase jawaban 55% sedangkan evaluasi pembelajaran penjasorkes berada ditingkat cukup dan kurang sekali dengan presentase sama-sama 50%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peranan kepala sekolah terhadap pembelajaran penjasorkes berada pada tingkat cukup dan masih perlu ditingkatkan kedepannya.

Abstract

Pendidikan Jasmani pada dasarnya adalah proses pendidikan yang memanfaatkan aktivitas fisik untuk mengembangkan kemampuan individu secara holistik. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan di lapangan, terdapat guru PJOK di Kota Padang yang belum secara optimal menerapkan pembelajaran PJOK sesuai dengan tujuan kurikulum saat ini. Pembelajaran masih didominasi oleh guru, selain itu, pembelajaran masih berorientasi pada teknik dasar. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani bersama dengan guru pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan di Kota Padang menyelenggarakan lokakarya dan pendampingan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran guru PJOK di Kota Padang. Langkah-langkah yang digunakan meliputi: perekrutan peserta, pelaksanaan pelatihan, pembinaan, pendampingan, dan pengembangan kegiatan menggunakan metode Sistem Pembelajaran Aksi Partisipatif (PALS). Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan dan pengembangan kualitas pembelajaran PJOK sesuai dengan arah pendidikan saat ini, yaitu pembelajaran berbasis Deep Learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak. Strategi Pembelajaran Rangkaian Permainan yang menyenangkan dan kompetitif diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan penelitian eksperimen dengan analisis data Anova 2 arah untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Jumlah populasi 70 anak dan sampel 36 anak.  Hasil penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan antara strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional, terdapat perbedaan antara laki-laki dan Perempuan, terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan jenis kelamin, terdapat perbedaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan (laki-laki) dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional (laki-laki), terdapat perbedaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan (perempuan) dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional (perempuan). Jadi kesimpulannya adalah Strategi Pembelajaran Rangkaian Permainan untuk anak laki-laki atau perempuan sama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak dasar dibandingkan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Penggunaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan sangat penting dan berdampak baik dalam proses pembelajaran gerak dasar anak usia dini. Setiap guru TK dapat menerapkan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan gerak dasar

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Drill and Game-Based Practice on Kumite Gyaku Tsuki technique skills among extracurricular Karate students at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara. A total of 31 male students from grade 10 participated and were divided into an experimental group (n = 16) receiving Drill and Game-Based Practice, and a control group (n = 15) following conventional Karate training. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest assessments. Skill performance was measured through standardized Kumite Gyaku Tsuki tests evaluated by certified national Karate referees. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-tests, and independent sample t-tests. Results indicated significant improvements in both groups, with the experimental group showing a greater increase in posttest scores (Mean = 42.13) compared to the control group (Mean = 33.47). Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between groups (p < 0.05). In conclusion, Drill and Game-Based Practice effectively enhances Kumite Gyaku Tsuki skills, and incorporating game-based exercises offers superior results compared to conventional training methods.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of the Problem-Based Learning model based on Mind Mapping Hyperlink media, learning motivation, and parental involvement on Physical Education (PJOK) learning outcomes. A quantitative approach with a path analysis design was employed. The sample consisted of 30 Grade X students of SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh using total sampling. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires for PBL perception, learning motivation, and parental involvement, while learning outcomes were obtained from academic records. The results indicate that PBL has the strongest direct effect on learning outcomes (β = 0.425), followed by learning motivation (β = 0.318) and parental involvement (β = 0.267). Indirect effects through parental involvement were also found, strengthening the influence of PBL and motivation. The model explains 88.6% of the variance in learning outcomes. In conclusion, PBL supported by motivation and parental involvement contributes significantly to improving PJOK learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the implementation of life skills–based Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning and examine the development of students’ personal and social life skills at SMK Negeri 1 Painan. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving teachers, students, and school stakeholders selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings showed that life skills values were integrated through activity-based and group-oriented learning. Students demonstrated the development of responsibility, discipline, self-confidence, cooperation, communication, and empathy. Cooperation emerged as the strongest social skill, while responsibility was the most developed personal skill. However, the integration of life skills remained largely implicit, with limited reflection activities and inconsistent reinforcement by teachers. Life skills–based Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning supports students’ personal and social development. Nevertheless, more structured planning, explicit life skills objectives, and continuous reinforcement are needed to optimize its implementation in vocational education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar gerak dasar (lari, lempar, lompat) murid kelas V SDN 16 Bukit Siayah Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan melalui pendekatan bermain. Penelitian dilakukan melalui deskriptif kuantitatif dalam bentuk persentase dengan teknik purposive sampling yang melibatkan 14 orang sampel. Pada tes lari 30 meter hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 78,68 pada siklus I menjadi 83,57 pada siklus II, hal ini diikuti dengan tercapainya ketuntasan sebesar 100% pada akhir siklus II. Pada tes lempar lembing modifikasi capaian rata-rata kelas meningkat tajam dari 71,11 pada siklus I menjadi 80,86 pada siklus II, pendekatan bermain berhasil membawa seluruh murid mencapai nilai di atas KKM. Pada tes lompat jauh rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 76,46 pada siklus I menjadi 82,29 pada siklus II, seluruh murid berhasil menuntaskan materi dengan nilai minimal 75. Temuan tersebut mengimplikasikan bahwa penelitian ini memberikan solusi praktis dalam mentransformasi teknik atletik yang kaku menjadi aktivitas rekreatif, sehingga dapat mengatasi rendahnya motivasi murid. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa pendekatan bermain efektif dalam mengalihkan distraksi eksternal menjadi fokus penuh pada tugas gerak melalui unsur kompetisi yang menyenangkan. Penerapan metode ini berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas gerak dasar (lari, lempar, lompat), di mana seluruh siswa mampu mencapai ketuntasan 100% dengan rata-rata nilai di atas KKM pada akhir siklus II.
