Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of organic fertilization and red rice varieties on growth and yield of soybean grown together with various red rice varieties under aerobic system irrigation. The pot experiment, carried out in the plastic house of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram in the Narmada experimental farm, was arranged according to the Completely Randomized Design, with three replications and two treatment factors, namely organic fertilization using bokashi of cattle manure (16 ton/ha) applied at rice planting (P0 = without; P1 = with organic fertilizer), and red rice varieties (V1= AM-G2, V2= AM-G4, V3= AM-G9, V4= AM-G10, V5= Inpari 24, V6= Inpago Unram-1), under aerobic irrigation system through sub-irrigation. Pre-germinated soybean seeds (“Anjasmoro” variety) were relay-planted 18 days after planting rice. The results indicated that organic fertilization only significantly increased weights of dry stover, dry pods and grain yield of soybean, whereas rice varieties only affected dry pod weight, and the interaction effect was significant only on soybean grain yield, with the highest average of 17.77 g/pot (equivalent to 2.84 ton/ha) in soybean relay-planted with organic-fertilized rice of “Inpari 24” variety, which grain yield was the lowest (11.1 g/pot or 1,78 ton/ha), indicating that there were below-ground competitions between rice and soybean grown in one pot. However, in the treatment producing the highest rice grain yield (40.9 g/pot or 6.54 ton/ha), the average soybean grain yield was 13.7 g/pot (or 2.19 ton/ha), which is still quite high (far above the national productivity), so relay-planting soybean with rice crop in aerobic irrigation systems supplied with organic fertilizer is still feasible.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of rhizosphere and root nodule bacteria isolated from several leguminous weed species on growth and yield of mungbean grown following paddy rice. The experiment was conducted from February to May 2025 at the Unram Farming experimental field located in Nyurlembang Village, West Lombok, which was arranged according to Split Plot design, with three blocks and two treatment factors, namely weed species as bacteria sources (L1: Arachis pintoi, L2: Mimosa pudica, L3: Clitoria ternatea, L4: their mixture) as the main plots, and the types of bacteria (M0: without bacteria (autoclave sterilized bacterial isolates), M1: root nodule bacteria, M2: rhizosphere bacteria, M3: combination of both bacteria) as subplots. Observations were made on five sample clumps per treatment to measure growth, yield and yield components. Data were analyzed with ANOVA and Tukey's HSD at 5% significance level using CoStat for Windows. The results showed that application of rhizosphere and nodule bacteria significantly increased growth, yield, and yield components of mungbean, including branch number, nodule number, pod number, and grain yield per clump, with the best treatment being the combination of both types of bacteria isolated from A. pintoi, with the highest grain yield of 8.68 g/clump compared with 5.54 g/clump if without bacteria application. This indicates that these bacteria can potentially be developed as a local biofertilizer to support mungbean production in irrigated rice fields.

Abstract

Permasalahan ketahanan pangan, keterbatasan akses pasar, dan degradasi lingkungan menjadi tantangan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat pertanian di Desa Sedau. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan suatu pendekatan pertanian terpadu berkelanjutan yang mampu mengintegrasikan antar komponen usahatani secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis prospek dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan sistem pertanian terpadu berbasis agrosilvopastura dan apikultur Trigona di Desa Sedau, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang mengacu pada protokol PRISMA 2020, dengan korpus analisis sebanyak 30 artikel terseleksi dari 309 artikel awal melalui tahapan identification, screening, dan eligibility assessment. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pertanian terpadu berbasis agrosilvopastura dan apikultur lebah Trigona di Desa Sedau menunjukkan peluang yang baik untuk dikembangkan. Kondisi agroekosistem yang sesuai, didukung oleh ketersediaan sumber pakan lebah yang melimpah, menjadi modal utama dalam penerapan sistem ini. Integrasi berbagai komponen usaha tersebut tidak hanya berkontribusi terhadap perbaikan kualitas lingkungan dan peningkatan produktivitas lahan, tetapi juga mampu memperluas sumber pendapatan petani serta memperkuat keberlanjutan usaha pertanian. Strategi pengembangan diarahkan pada penggunaan spesies Trigona yang adaptif, penyediaan sumber pakan secara terintegrasi, penguatan kelembagaan komunitas, dan pengelolaan sistem secara adaptif berbasis data. Model integrasi Agrosilvopastura–Apikultur lebah Trigona dapat menjadi pendekatan inovatif dalam mendukung pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan di Desa Sedau.
