Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates whether the regulatory framework governing Sharia banks effectively enforces their distinctive characteristics and fulfills the objectives of maqashid sharia, amid concerns about their perceived similarity to conventional banks. Method – Using a normative legal approach, the research employs qualitative descriptive methods to analyze primary legal frameworks and validate findings through secondary sources. Findings –. The study finds that Indonesia pioneered the concept of Islamic banking in the 1970s, requiring financial intermediation based on a profit-sharing system in accordance with Sharia principles. Despite these mandates, some Sharia banks continue to adopt practices resembling conventional banking markup schemes. Practical implications – The findings highlight the need for legal reforms to reinforce Sharia banks' adherence to their foundational principles, thereby promoting a genuine partnership culture based on the principle of taawun (mutual cooperation). Originality/value – This research underscores the gap between regulatory mandates and practical implementation, offering insights into how legal adjustments can align Sharia banking practices more closely with their philosophical roots

Abstract

This research was to find out the Qira'ah method that used in Arabic learning and to find out the obstacles in using it’s method. The researchers used a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach was a research approach that was oriented to natural phenomena. Because of this orientation, it was naturalistic and basic or natural and cannot be done in a laboratory but must be done on the spot. The results of the research on the application of the Qira'ah method explain that learning Arabic at MA Wali Songo Sukajadi Central Lampung must combine other methods, such as the Tarjamah grammar method, the auditory speech method or the direct method. Thus, inhibiting factors such as students' lack of knowledge about Hijaiyah letters, lack of interest in learning Arabic, and students' weak ability to master mufrada must be combined with the application of the Qira'ah method with other methods. And about the teacher's efforts to improve students' Arabic classes through additional study, pay special attention to it and need to emphasize memorization of students' vocabulary. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning Model of Think Pair Share (TPS) in improving the Arabic language skills of tenth-grade students at MA Wali Songo Sukajadi. The research method used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 30 tenth-grade students at MA Wali Songo. Data were collected through written tests before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the implementation of TPS. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the Arabic language skills of students after the implementation of TPS, as indicated by an N-Gen value of 18.5. These findings demonstrate that TPS is effective in enhancing the understanding and mastery of the Arabic language by students. In conclusion, the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Model of Think Pair Share (TPS) can be an effective solution in improving the Arabic language skills of students at MA Wali Songo Sukajadi. This learning model encourages active student participation, facilitates collaborative learning, and has a positive impact on their understanding of religion.

Abstract

The FBI Optimization (FBIO) represents one of the most novel metaheuristics which has been experimented with to solve Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), demonstrating superior performance compared to tradition-al algorithms. Unlike conventional approaches that start with exploration and gradually shift to exploitation, FBIO maintains a dominant exploration phase throughout its iterations. Beginning with 100% exploration and tapering to approximately 90% dominance in exploration by the end of the process, FBIO effectively navigates the solution space, uncovering more promising routes. This exploration-centric approach enables FBIO to achieve solutions that are 8.39% closer to the near-optimal result compared to its counterparts. The algorithm’s enhanced performance in TSP highlights its potential applicability to other combinatorial optimization challenges. By prioritizing exploration, FBIO offers a robust framework for addressing complex prob-lems and ensures a comprehensive search of the solution space. Its ability to deliver high quality near-optimal solutions makes FBIO a valuable tool for future research, presenting new opportunities for solving various optimization problems and advancing practical problem-solving methodologies

Abstract

This article discusses the role of the principal as a manager in implementation of the Independent Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Jelutung, Jambi City. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that: 1) The school principal has a significant role starting from planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the curriculum. 2) There are obstacles for the principal in carrying out his role as a manager in implementing the Independent Curriculum, namely that it takes a long time and is not easy for the principal to study the Independent Curriculum, time constraints and the physical condition of the principal as well as teacher motivation and understanding that need to be improved. 3) The school principal takes proactive steps to resolve these obstacles, such as increasing the principal's personal understanding, carry out rescheduling and time management, as well facilitating teachers in increasing their understanding and professionalism through training, participating in routine KKG activities, and direct coaching.

Abstract

One form of cooperation being developed today is a tiered direct selling system or often called Multi Level Marketing (MLM). Even though the MLM business is developing quite well in Indonesia, there are not a few incidents that show that people are disadvantaged and even deceived by this MLM business. Various legal interpretations emerged from several scholars, some declared it halal, some stated it was unlawful. In 2019 the social organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the National Conference of the Bahtsul Masail NU Institute also discussed MLM business law. This research is a qualitative research and includes a type of library research. The research approach method used is the juridical, historical, and uṣūl fiqh approach. The nature of this research is descriptive-analysis, which describes a situation or a subject, and then analyzes it. The results obtained from this study are: (1) MLM business law in an Islamic review based on the 2019 National Assembly of the NU Bahtsul Masail Institute is haram. This prohibition is intended for MLM types with sun, pyramid or ponzi schemes that contain money game practices or fraud. (2) MLM business law is analyzed using the theory of sadd aż-żarīʻah when viewed from the level of damage (mafsadatan) caused, MLM is a business that is basically permissible to do because it contains benefits, but allows harm to occur.Keywords: Multi Level Marketing, National Conference Bahtsul Masail NU, Sadd aż-Żarīʻah,

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate Scientific Argumentation Skills Test (SAST) and investigate the 11th-grade students' performance in scientific argumentation skills on acid-base chemistry. The research design used was research and development, followed by descriptive research. Research and development were carried out to obtain an instrument of SAST, and descriptive research was used to describe students' argumentation skills in acid-base chemistry. Participants in this study were 328 11th-grade students of state high schools in East Java, Indonesia. The research and development of SAST consisted of five steps, namely literature review, items development, expert judgment, pilot project, and finalization of instruments. Expert judgment involved three chemistry education experts, while the pilot project involved 151 students, and the identification of students' scientific argumentation skills involved 177 students. Data about expert assessments, student responses to the pilot project, and student answers to the application of SAST were analyzed descriptively. The SAST produced in the research and development steps consisted of parts A (10 items) and part B (7 items), with Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients of 0.888 and 0.758. The students' performance in scientific argumentation skills showed that the average score of students' performance to determine the argument's components was 80.53% (excellent category). The average score of students' performance to write an argument was 55.42% (moderate category). The implication of the study that the students' scientific argumentation skills must be explicitly trained in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, likuiditas, dan struktur aset terhadap struktur modal. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder pada perusahaan sub sektor telekomunikasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2021-2023. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 22 Perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dan memperoleh 13 Perusahaan dengan 3 tahun pengamatan sehingga diperoleh 39 sampel. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik dengan alat bantu SPSS 25. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan uji T diketahui bahwa secara parsial Profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap Struktur Modal, Likuiditas tidak berpengaruh terhadap Struktur Modal, Struktur Aset tidak berpengaruh terhadap Struktur Modal. Sedangkan, berdasarkan hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan profitabilitas, likuiditas dan struktur aset berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of religious moderation in dealing with the changing pattern of terrorism movements in Indonesia. Terrorism, which has been a serious threat since the 2002 Bali bombings, continues to evolve with increasingly complex movement patterns. The Government of Indonesia has taken steps to address it, including implementing the Terrorism Law, but challenges remain, especially regarding the often subjective definition of terrorism. This article aims to answer the question: How can religious moderation effectively deal with terrorism in Indonesia? This study uses qualitative methods and content analysis to analyze the synergy between the government and civil society, especially faith-based organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, in building community resilience against extremist ideologies. The study's findings suggest that the religious moderation approach, which involves cooperation between religious leaders and the government, can reduce the escalation of terrorism through a soft-power approach. The main scholarly contribution of this article is the emphasis on the importance of a more effective and sustainable approach to religious moderation in handling terrorism, as well as the need for synergy between the government and civil society actors in preventing radicalization at the grassroots level.

Abstract

The principal has an important role in leading the school to realize better education. In school-based management, the implementation of school programs is supported by democratic and professional leadership. The principal is a professional education manager. Therefore it is necessary to improve the ability of the board of teachers who become partners in the education unit they lead in terms of assessing the learning process both in the process of making, implementing and analyzing it. Basically, this assessment aims to make the Bakalan Elementary School teacher have the ability to compile the Final Examination Test questions (UAS) properly in accordance with the rules of writing correct questions. This research is based on the formulation of the problem: Whether by optimizing the implementation of the Collective program that has been compiled can improve teacher competency as an Evaluator in compiling the test questions End of Semester (UAS) in SDN Bakalan Sub-district Sumobito Jombang district in the school year of 2018/2019. The method needed in this study was obtained through observing the processing of activities compiling the End of Semester questions through Collective program activities. Based on data analysis, from this study it can be concluded that the application of the Collective program in compiling the End of Semester Test (UAS) is very effective. Through the Collective program can also improve the ability of teachers in compiling a good test this is seen in the first cycle and cycle activities second, with a very significant increase, from an average value of 66.7 with a percentage of completeness of 45.5% to an average test score of 85.7 with a percentage of completeness of 100%. Tests are considered feasible if at least 75% of the criteria can be met.
