Abstract

This research discusses John Dewey's views on progressivism and differentiated learning, as well as the implementation of differentiated learning in the IPAS subject in elementary schools. This study uses a literature review method by referring to relevant books and scientific journals. This research produces meaningful information about the relationship between progressivism and differentiated learning, as well as the benefits of differentiated learning in the IPAS subject. The study concludes that progressivism is an educational perspective that supports a student-oriented education process and learning that continues to evolve with the times. Differentiated learning is learning that is tailored to the learning needs of students, based on their readiness to learn, learning profiles, interests, and talents. Differentiated learning can be carried out in several ways, including: content differentiation, process differentiation, product differentiation, and learning environment differentiation. Differentiated learning in the subject of IPAS can help students develop scientific, creative, and critical thinking skills in understanding concepts, phenomena, and issues related to nature. Differentiated learning in the IPAS subject can also facilitate students to explore, discover, and apply IPAS knowledge according to their interests and talents.

Abstract

. This research examines Effective Play Strategies: Psychological Stimulation for Children Through Appropriate Game Choices, emphasizing the crucial role of play in shaping children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. Play is not merely entertainment; it serves as a laboratory where children experiment, develop skills, and form their personalities. The importance of aligning play types with a child's age-appropriate developmental stage is a primary focus, recognizing that each phase of psychological development has unique stimulation needs. The research method employed is a qualitative literature review, synthesizing information from various scholarly sources such as journals, books, and research reports. Literature searches were conducted systematically using relevant keywords in databases. The study results indicate that age-appropriate game selection is vital for optimizing a child's potential. Constructive play develops spatial understanding and problem-solving; role-playing facilitates empathy and social skills; while strategy games train logic and patience. In the digital era, balancing physical and digital play is crucial to ensure holistic development. In conclusion, play is a fundamental pillar in children's psychological development, and understanding effective play strategies empowers parents and educators to become facilitators guiding children toward balanced and optimal growth.

Abstract

Transformational leadership has become a leadership style that emphasizes change, inspiration, and empowerment. The transformational leadership style carried out by the principal has not yet gone hand in hand with the underlying values. This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the principal in the perspective of axiological philosophy. Especially related to ethical and aesthetic values ​​in decision making and teacher coaching. This study uses a qualitative approach method with the principal as the subject of research. And using literature study techniques from various references on educational philosophy and leadership management. Data were collected through participatory observation and school administrative documentation. The results of the analysis show that the axiology of transformational leadership emphasizes the importance of human values, justice, empathy, and beauty in forming a transformative and humanistic school climate. By integrating the philosophy of axiology, the principal's leadership is not only oriented towards achieving targets, but also forming the character and culture of the school that is meaningful morally and aesthetically. This finding confirms that the integration between the philosophy of values ​​and transformative leadership is not only theoretically ideal, but also real in practice in the field of education.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a crucial pillar in ensuring the quality of education, which currently tends to be administrative and normative in nature, falling short of the professional idealism grounded in empirical evidence. This study aims to analyze the gap between the concept of evidence-based academic supervision and its actual implementation in the field, particularly in elementary schools in Sukolilo District, and to examine the relevance of the philosophical foundation of realism. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study employs library research and field studies through observation, interviews, and document analysis in 40 elementary schools in the Sukolilo District. The findings show that 80% of supervision in Sukolilo still focuses on administrative document checks without classroom observation or data-based pedagogical feedback, creating anxiety among teachers and hindering improvements in teaching quality.  . Supervisi akademik merupakan pilar penting dalam penjaminan mutu pendidikan yang saat ini masih cenderung bersifat administratif dan normatif, jauh dari idealisme profesional berbasis bukti empiris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesenjangan antara konsep supervisi akademik berbasis bukti dengan praktik di lapangan, khususnya di Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Sukolilo, serta relevansi landasan filsafat realisme. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, studi ini menerapkan metode studi pustaka dan studi lapangan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen di 40 Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Sukolilo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 80% supervisi di Sukolilo masih berfokus pada pemeriksaan dokumen administratif tanpa observasi kelas atau umpan balik pedagogis berbasis data, menciptakan kecemasan bagi guru dan menghambat perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of daily journal writing habits in improving the self-confidence of fifth-grade elementary school students in expressing their opinions through a philosophical education approach that includes ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspectives, as well as physiological, sociological, and anthropological principles. The research method used is qualitative descriptive based on literature review. The object of research is the concept of daily journal writing in the context of elementary education, while the subjects are fifth-grade elementary students in general. Data were collected through document studies of articles and books, and analyzed using content analysis with source triangulation for data validity. The results show that daily journals help increase students’ self-confidence by facilitating self-reflection, supporting knowledge construction, and instilling values of honesty and courage. These findings support the implementation of daily journals as a reflective learning strategy grounded in the philosophy of basic education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas V sekolah dasar untuk mengemukakan pendapat dengan pendekatan filsafat pendidikan yang meliputi tinjauan ontologis, epistemologis, aksiologis, serta prinsip fisiologis, sosiologis, dan antropologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka. Obyek penelitian adalah konsep kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam konteks pendidikan dasar, sedangkan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar secara umum. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi artikel dan observasi literatur ilmiah terkait. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis konten dengan triangulasi sumber untuk validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jurnal harian mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan memfasilitasi refleksi diri, membangun konstruksi pengetahuan, serta menanamkan nilai kejujuran dan keberanian. Temuan ini mendukung penerapan jurnal harian sebagai strategi pembelajaran reflektif yang berlandaskan filsafat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and character values contained in the folklore "Asal-Usul Industri Kretek". The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The method was chosen because the data in this study are in the form of words written descriptively and not in the form of numbers. The source of data in this study is a folklore book entitled "The Origin of the Kretek Industry" contained in the East Coast Folklore book written by Mohammad Kanzunnudin and published by CV Adhigama in 2024 which totals 230 pages. Data in the form of fragments of the story "The Origin of the Kretek Industry". Data collection techniques use listening and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Milles & Huberman technique. The theory used in the structural analysis of folklore "Asal-Usul Industri Kretek" is Robert Stanton's Structuralism theory. Based on Robert Stanton's theory, the analyzed structure consists of story facts and literary means. In the structural part, the facts of the story contain theme, plot, character, and setting. The structure of literary means contains title, point of view, style and tone, symbolism, and irony. The theme in the story "Asal-Usul Indurtri kretek" is honesty and fortitude, the plot used is backward flow, and uses a third person point of view. The character values analyzed are the values contained in Permendikbud Number 20/2018 article 2 which contains five main character values, namely religious values, nationalism values, independent values, mutual cooperation values, and integrity values. These character values are shown from the sentences contained in the story. This research is expected to be able to become teaching material, especially to instill character values in students.

Abstract

Seni tradisional Barongan Kudus merupakan warisan budaya yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai moral, spiritual, dan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi Barongan Kudus dalam pendidikan karakter di lingkungan sekolah dasar, serta menelaah kontribusinya dalam membentuk pribadi siswa yang berintegritas. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan seniman lokal, observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, serta dokumentasi aktivitas seni budaya di sekolah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa seni Barongan Kudus tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media ekspresi budaya, tetapi juga menjadi sarana internalisasi nilai-nilai seperti keberanian, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan cinta tanah air. Implementasi dilakukan melalui integrasi dalam pembelajaran tematik dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis budaya lokal. Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam latihan dan pementasan Barongan mendorong pembentukan karakter secara kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kemitraan antara sekolah dan komunitas budaya guna mendukung pelestarian budaya sekaligus memperkaya pendidikan karakter anak-anak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna simbolisme religius yang terkandung dalam elemen-elemen arsitektural Masjid Sunan Muria, yang merupakan salah satu peninggalan penting dalam sejarah dakwah Islam di Jawa. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa setiap struktur fisik masjid—mulai dari tangga yang menanjak, atap tumpang tiga, hingga ornamen ukiran—mengandung pesan spiritual dan filosofi sufistik yang erat kaitannya dengan dakwah kultural Wali Songo. Simbol-simbol tersebut tidak hanya memperkuat identitas keislaman masyarakat lokal, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai media edukatif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai religius dan karakter luhur. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi dalam bidang kajian budaya, arsitektur Islam, serta pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal. Masjid Sunan Muria terbukti tidak hanya sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga sebagai narasi visual tentang perjalanan spiritual dan integrasi Islam dengan budaya Nusantara.

Abstract: Optimal teacher performance is a fundamental requirement for ensuring sustainable educational quality amid ongoing curriculum changes and evolving societal demands. This study aims to analyze the role of academic supervision in enhancing teacher performance and to examine its relevance from the perspective of educational philosophy. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a literature review method that draws on scholarly journals, academic books, and official policy documents. The results indicate that structured, collaborative, and continuous academic supervision enhances teachers' pedagogical competence, work motivation, and discipline. In this context, academic supervision embodies humanistic and progressive educational values, positioning teachers as autonomous and reflective learners. The study concludes that philosophically grounded academic supervision not only improves teacher performance but also contributes to the development of a transformative and civilized educational culture. Abstrak: Kinerja guru yang optimal merupakan prasyarat mendasar untuk menjamin kualitas pendidikan yang berkelanjutan di tengah perubahan kurikulum dan tuntutan masyarakat yang terus berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru serta menelaah relevansinya dari perspektif filsafat pendidikan. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan metode studi literatur, yang mengacu pada jurnal ilmiah, buku akademik, dan dokumen kebijakan resmi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang terstruktur, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, motivasi kerja, dan kedisiplinan guru. Dalam konteks ini, supervisi akademik mencerminkan nilai-nilai pendidikan humanistik dan progresif yang memosisikan guru sebagai pembelajar yang otonom dan reflektif.
