Abstract

This study is aimed to determine and analyze the effect of the implementation of motivation and culture on the employees productivity at Huta Padang estate of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Asahan Regency North Sumatera. This research method uses a quantitative approach, the type of research is a survey. The sample was determined by stratified random sampling method, 95 people. The data collection through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that partially and simultaneously, the implementation of motivation and culture had a positive and significant effect on the employess productivity at Huta padang estate of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Asahan Regency North Sumatera. The determination coefficient value of 0.882, indicates that the influence of the implementation of motivation and culture on the employess productivity of Huta Padang estate of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Asahan Regency North Sumatera is 88.2%. The culture has more dominant influence on the employees produktivity at  Huta Padang estate of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Asahan Regency North Sumatera, with a direct influence of 73,2%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the formulation of a goat farming business development strategy and alternative strategies for developing a goat farming business in Batubara Regency, which has been implemented from 4 February 2020 to 30 March 2020 in 3 Districts and 9 villages. The number of samples in this study were 85 people consisting of 79 men and 6 women. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling with a large, medium and small category of livestock population. The data analysis method used matrix analysis (IFE), matrix (EFE), and matrix (SWOT). The results showed that the formulation of strategies that can be used in the development of goats is to maintain and maintain the existing growth stabilization (hold and maintain) with priority strategies. increase community motivation to raise goats, increase the availability of infrastructure and livestock health officers. The results of the analysis using the IFE and EFE matrices show that internal factors are classified as strong and breeders are able to take advantage of their strengths to overcome their weaknesses. In addition, strong external factors can avoid threats by taking advantage of existing opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Work Engagement, Job Characteristics and Individual Characteristics on Organizational Culture. This research is verificative and descriptive, using descriptive survey methods and explanatory survey methods. The sample was determined by random sampling method as many as 242 executive employees at the office of the director of PTPN III. Data collection through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that partially, work engagement, job characteristics, and individual characteristics had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the implementing employees at the Office of the Director of PTPN III. The highest effect value is the Individual Characteristics variable, meaning that individual characteristics have a more dominant influence on employee performance, with a total influence of 28.5%. Simultaneously, Work Engagement, Job Characteristics and Individual Characteristics have a positive and significant effect on the Implementing Organizational Culture at the Office of the Director of PTPN III.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of employee satisfaction and work motivation on work ethic and its implications for the performance of implementing employees at the oil palm plantations and mills of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III. Subjects in this study were employees of PTPN III. The research objects were employee satisfaction, work motivation, work ethic and performance of PTPN III employees. The sample in this study were 310 employees. Data analysis uses path analysis which aims to determine the causal relationship, with the aim of explaining the direct effect and indirect effect of a set of variables, as a causal variable on other variables which are effect variables. The results showed that employee satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on the work ethic of the implementing employees by 15,1%. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the work ethic of the implementing employees by 74,8%. The effect of Job Satisfaction (X1) and Work Motivation (X2) on Work Ethics (Y) is 50,1%. Employee Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Implementing Employees by 6,7%. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Implementing Employees by 20,8%. Work Ethic has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance 76,7%. The influence of employee satisfaction, work motivation and work ethic on employee performance is 80.9%. The value of the direct effect of the employee satisfaction variable (x1) on the employee performance variable (z) is smaller than the influence of the employee satisfaction variable (x1) on the employee performance (z) through the work ethic (y), so it can be concluded that the work ethic variable (y) plays a role. as a full mediator because through the y variable, the x1 variable is able to significantly influence the z variable.

Abstract

Work productivity increases when the appropriate leadership style is applied. The use of a situational leadership style must remark to the maturity level of followers, as the proper treatment of followers will assist in targets achievement optimally, whereas the failure of leaders in managing resources causing minimal results. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style on performance and its implications for the achievement of work productivity, to determine the differences in the application of leadership styles and their effects on productivity, and how situational leadership styles are applied to the readiness level of followers. Primary data were gained using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to research respondents. Respondents were all Mandor I and Mandor Panen in District Labuhanbatu I and District Labuhanbatu II. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with the specific criteria, such as that the employees have worked for at least 10 years and have occupied strata III and II positions which are directly related to production excavation. The hypothesis is tested by simple regression and using the RSSM questionnaire calculation. The results of the analysis explain that leadership style has a positive effect on performance and has an impact on productivity, the leadership style of the two Districts is relatively the same, the application of the leadership style is adjusted to the level of readiness of followers, and the production results of the two Districts are not significantly different. The main implication of this research is as to provide the consideration for Board of Management in conducting training to increase the level of ability (competence) and willingness (motivation and commitment), especially for followers and leader levels which are still low.

Abstract

The concept of Strategic Human Resource Management has been a very important topic since the late 1980s. A company, if it wants to succeed in the competition in this global era, must be able to make human resource management plans that are capable and responsive to changes in world business in the future (strategic). This research aims to explain the concept of strategic human resource management (MSDMS) in an effort to contribute to company performance. MSDS research using a qualitative approach by using a literature review in presenting theories about research problems that are currently being carried out. There are two things that are analyzed in the concept of strategic human resource management (MSDMS). First, the relationship between HR strategy, HR practice and organizational performance is reviewed. As a result, the best practice approach has been used and yields useful results comparatively to the contingency approach and the configurational approach. Second, intervening factors and the causal relationship between HRM practice and organizational performance are analyzed. Retention results and multiple factors are found and placing too much control on causal relationships is unrealistic in empirical studies.

Abstract

Barangan Banana is a commodity that is already popular in the community has very important economic and social value, the need for bananas continues to increase in line with the population and income level of the community. This study aims to determine what factors influence the demand for barangan bananas in Medan, in the Market Petisah kecamatan medan petisah North Sumatra province from Demand, Price, Number of Family Members up to Consumers income and Method used incidental sampling is a technique that is required when sampling, samples taken as many as 30 consumers who buy barangan bananas in petisah market separating Medan petisah , and the data collected are primary and secondary data, the analytical method used is multiple linear regression test with software tools namely SPSS 21, the highest price of barangan banana 18,000, the price of other bananas (Ambon) the highest 15,000, the number of family members inggi 6, the highest income of 5,000,000.The results of this study concluded that the factors that influence the demand for barangan bananas in medan city, the separating market in medan petisah sub-district. Simultaneously influential are the prices of barangan bananas, Ambon banana prices, family members, and consumer income significantly, this can be seen from t count 4.027 is greater than t-table 1.708.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the factors that affect the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of rice paddies in the villages the district Percut Sei Tuan of the Deli Serdang. The results in the village of Kolam showed that the age of farmers to give effect to the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of rice paddies in the village Kolam where F-count of 2.694 and t-count of 2.301 and t-table 7.574 with the level of 5%. Education to give effect to the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of  rice paddies where F-count 2.694 and t-count of 1.148 and t-table7.574 with the level of 5%. The land gives effect to the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of rice paddies. Where F-count of 2.694 and t-count of 0.203 and t-table 7.574 with the level of 5%. Experience give effect to the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of rice paddies. Where F-count of 2.694 and t-count of 2.694 and t-table 7.574 with the level of 5%. Indonesian gives effect to the adoption of technological innovation by farmers of rice paddies. Where F-count of 17.889 and t-count of 4.230 and t-table 5.480 with the level of 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and work environment affect the performance of employees. The proposed hypothesis is the influence of leadership on the performance of the employee, the work environment influence on employee performance and simultaneously also in his second test as well. Samples were production employees at PT.Sinar Sosro Tajung Morawa Medan totaling 30 respondents. The sampling technique was random method. Methods of data collection using random methods, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis using Multiple Linear Regression and also using some test that is test validitas, realibity test, t test and f. Based on test results obtained Data Regression that that leadership and work environment greatly affect the performance of the employee, his great influence up to 86% to show that leadership and work environment in Tanjung Morawa at PT.Sinar Sosro very positive effect.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of wages, work experience, age and training on labor productivity in harvesters of fresh fruit bunches in smallholder oil palm plantations in Hadundung Village, Kota Pinang District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. This research was conducted from March to April 2020. This study used the sampling method by means of the census method. The sample used is 42 respondents. The samples in this study were smallholder oil palm plantation harvesters. Based on the research results obtained from the results of the t test on the Wage Level variable has a significant effect on Labor Productivity with a significant value of 0.002, the age variable has a significant effect on Labor Productivity. This can be seen from the significant value of 0.000, it can be concluded that the Age variable has a significant effect on Labor Productivity and Training has a significant effect on Labor Productivity. With a significant value of 0.001. Whereas experience has no effect on labor productivity. This can be seen from the significant value 0.516 0.05. So it can be concluded that the experience variable has no effect on labor productivity.
