Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning Arabic from a methodological and psychological perspective at UPT SMA Palopo City. This research is a type of field research whose study is descriptive-qualitative to reveal the meaning behind the reality of learning Arabic at UPT SMA Palopo City. The data collection method was through interviews which were then analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, data presentation and research conclusions. The results showed that: Learning Arabic at UPT SMA Palopo City includes three processes, namely: 1) The planning process for learning Arabic at UPT SMA Palopo City includes making syllabus, lesson plans and learning media to be used; 2) Implementation, learning Arabic at UPT SMA Palopo City includes initial activities, delivery of material and closing. Implementing learning Arabic at UPT SMA Palopo City could be more optimal; 3) Evaluation, which includes evaluation of students in the form of semester exams, assignments and so on.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of tashbīh in Arabic rhetoric, tracing its evolution from a direct classical form to a more imaginative and symbolic modern style. Tashbīh now serves as a medium for expressing inner emotions, social criticism, and ideological values. Using a qualitative-descriptive method and content analysis of modern poetry and prose texts, the study finds that tashbīh comparisons are often implicit and open to multiple interpretations. This reflects an expansion of aesthetic freedom and the adaptability of tashbīh to cultural contexts and changing times. The study contributes to the field of balāghah by offering deeper insight into the transformation of tashbīh’s functions and forms in the contemporary era.Keywords – Imagination, Rhetoric, Tasybih, Transformation.

Abstract

In the digital era, social media has become a strategic medium for disseminating Islamic da’wah with broad and transboundary reach. This condition requires the application of effective rhetorical strategies, one of which is the use of majāz mursal. This study aims to identify the forms of majāz mursal found in Arabic digital da’wah discourse and to explain their contribution to the effectiveness of da’wah communication. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a discourse analysis and Arabic rhetorical (balāghah) framework. The research data consist of five Arabic digital da’wah contents purposively selected from TikTok and Instagram platforms, including short motivational videos, kalām ḥikmah (words of wisdom), and da’wah captions. Data were collected through content documentation and semi-structured interviews with ten informants. Data analysis was conducted through several stages, namely identifying majāz expressions, classifying the types of majāz mursal based on semantic relationships, and interpreting their rhetorical functions within the context of digital da’wah. The findings indicate that majāz mursal with sababiyyah, musabbabiyyah, kulliyyah, and juz’iyyah relationships are dominantly employed to clarify moral messages, enhance linguistic aesthetics, and strengthen the persuasive power of da’wah. Therefore, the use of majāz mursal can be considered an applicative and effective rhetorical strategy in digital da’wah practices.

Abstract

This investigation examines qaṣr, a rhetorical device denoting exclusivity, as both a linguistic and theological phenomenon within the Qur’anic verses of tawḥīd (divine oneness). Although classical balāghah scholarship has historically acknowledged qaṣr, its more profound epistemological and performative dimensions remain insufficiently explored, particularly in dialogue with contemporary linguistic theories. Employing a qualitative library search methodology, this research systematically analyzes authoritative classical texts alongside peer-reviewed international literature (2021–2024) to elucidate how qaṣr functions not merely as a stylistic ornament but as a mechanism that constructs meaning. The study identifies four distinct patterns: qaṣr ikhtirāṣ, syntactic inversion, implicit exception, and paired negation-affirmation, each strategically employed in key Qur’anic passages to affirm divine unity and refute polytheism. Findings indicate that qaṣr functions as an illocutionary act: it does not simply describe tawḥīd but enacts it, thereby shaping the believer’s theological consciousness. This research contributes theoretically by integrating classical balāghah with pragmatic and discourse-analytic frameworks, proposing a model termed “Qur’anic Rhetorical Pragmatics.” Practically, it provides a hermeneutical perspective for contextual and critical engagement with tawḥīd within pluralistic societies and pedagogical contexts. Ultimately, the study affirms that the linguistic architecture of the Qur’an is inherently theological, where form and faith converge to create an unambiguous understanding of divine Tawheed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bentuk-bentuk demotivasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang terjadi di Pondok Pesantran DDI Mangkoso Kampus II Putra Tonrongnge. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan pendekatan penelitian yang digunkan adalah: pedagogis, sosiologis, dan psikologis. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling, dan data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) dari 10 jenis motivasi yang diajukan oleh Harmer (2011), hanya 5 jenis demotivasi yang dialami oleh santri dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di pondok pesantren DDI Mangkoso Kampus 2 Putra Tonrongnge, yakni demotivasi karena rasa takut, demotivasi karena koflik nilai, demotivasi karena kurangnya kebebasan, demotivasi karena kurangnya kepercayaan diri dan demotivasi karena kejenuhan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore procedures or steps for the development of Arabic subject matter through the integration of local culture in Sinjai Regency into Arabic subject matter at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Hikmah Sinjai and test the feasibility of Arabic language subject matter that is integrated with the local culture of Sinjai district. at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Hikmah Sinjai. This research is a type of research and development or Research and Development (R&D) using four stages of research, namely, the data collection stage, the planning stage, the product development stage, and the product validation and testing stage. The instruments used were questionnaires, interviews and, observations. The results showed that the process of developing Arabic subject matter by integrating local Sinjai culture was carried out in six steps as follows, conducting field studies and literature studies on Sinjai local culture, determining and compiling materials, integrating local culture into Arabic subject matter for class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Arabic. into Arabic, material systematization, material validation includes internal validation and external validation. the internal test percentage reached 64.02%. And the external test results using the Wilcoxon type nonparametric statistical analysis is .003 which means less than 0.05 (003 <0.05), these two test results indicate that the product is suitable for use.

Abstract

This study discusses the contribution of Dr. (HC) H. Mustafa Muhammad Nuri, LAS, in the Development of Arabic Learning in South Sulawesi to know the teaching model from Dr. (HC) H. Mustafa Muhammad Nuri, LAS, in Arabic learning in South Sulawesi. This type of research was a qualitative descriptive located in South Sulawesi using a historical, sociological, and psychological approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. In addition, this research also used library research through primary and secondary data. The data analysis techniques were in-depth by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that Dr. (HC) H. Mustafa Muhammad Nuri, LAS has an essential role in developing Arabic learning in South Sulawesi by contributing as Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at IAIN Alauddin Makassar (1968-1985) and in (1990-1997). He is the Director and lecturer at the Language Institute and the Author of Arabic books and wall magazines. Besides, he teaches Arabic learning at home, is an initiator of the collaboration between IAIN Alauddin Makassar and the Middle East, an authoritative source, the educators who educate and foster Arabic teachers and lecturers, and a pioneer of the eclectic method.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether there is an effect of using the book of Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'ala al-Tariqah al-Hadisah on language skills. It investigated the students in the first grade at Darul Huffadh Tuju-tuju Islamic Boarding School Kajuara Bone. This study was a quantitative research with an Expost Facto approach by collecting and simplifying the data collected using the SPSS application in processing the data. There were two variables in this study, namely the use of the Durus al-Lugah book as a variable (X) and language skills as a variable (Y). While the population in this study was 299 students of KMI in the first grade and the sample was 20% of the population, namely 60 students. The data collection method used questionnaires, tests, documentation and observation. The data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The study results indicate that (1) The use of the Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'alaal-T}ariqah al-Hadisah book in the first grade at Darul Huffadh Tuju-tuju Islamic Boarding School Kajuara Bone is quite significant with a percentage of 65%. (2) Arabic language skills of The first grade students at Darul Huffadh Tuju-tuju Islamic Boarding School Kajuara Bone were quite good, with a percentage of 55%. (3) There was an effect of Variable X on Y in this study. The value of the variable hypothesis test, such as the value of t count, is 6.573, and the value of sig is 0.000. Thus T count is 6.573 > T table 2.00, and Sig 0.00 <0.05 = H1 is accepted. It meant that there was a positive influence and the significance of Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'ala al-Tariqah al-Hadisah on the Language Skills of the first grade KMI students at Darul Huffadh Tuju-tuju Islamic Boarding School Kajuara Bone. If there was no variable Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'ala al-Tariqah al-Hadisah then the students' language skills were -0.945. Then, the value of b (Variable X/Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'ala al-Tariqah al-Hadisah) was 0.266. It indicated that with every 1% addition in the learning effectiveness of using Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'alaal-Tariqah al-Hadisah book, the students' Arabic skills would increase by 0.266 with a percentage value of 42.7%. It means that variable X affects Variable Y. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that PPDH (Islamic Boarding School Darul Huffadh) will maintain the use of the Durus al-Lugah al-'Arabiyyah 'ala al-T}ariqah al-Hadisah book because it is a structured and systematic book on its theme. It is very suitable for beginners who are new to Arabic and are required to be able to master Arabic as a daily language. It will be optimal if the teachers practice reasonable teaching procedures and use every medium to help the students discover the book's contents and assist the teacher in delivering the material.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of steadfastness and resistance in Tamim Al-Barghouti’s poem “Sixty Years” through the lens of Lucien Goldmann’s genetic structuralism. Previous studies on Palestinian resistance poetry have predominantly focused on thematic and historical dimensions, with limited attention to the structural relationship between literary form and collective social consciousness. This study addresses that gap by applying key concepts of genetic structuralism—namely worldview, collective subject, and structural homology—as analytical tools. The research employs a qualitative textual approach using close reading and structural analysis. The unit of analysis includes selected stanzas, recurring imagery, and linguistic patterns within the poem. The analytical procedures involve semantic mapping, identification of binary oppositions, and interpretation of temporal structures, followed by linking these textual elements to the Palestinian socio-historical context. The findings reveal that the poem constructs a coherent collective worldview rooted in historical continuity, resistance, and cultural survival. This is reflected in patterns of temporal extension, collective agency, and symbolic inversion, demonstrating a structural homology between the poetic structure and the social structure of Palestinian experience. The study concludes that resistance is not only expressed thematically but is also embedded structurally within the text, affirming the relevance of genetic structuralism in analyzing contemporary resistance literature.تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل تمثّلات الصمود والمقاومة في قصيدة “ستون عامًا” لتميم البرغوثي في ضوء نظرية البنيوية التكوينية عند لوسيان غولدمان. وقد ركّزت الدراسات السابقة حول شعر المقاومة الفلسطينية غالبًا على الأبعاد الموضوعية والتاريخية، مع إيلاء اهتمام محدود للعلاقة البنيوية بين الشكل الأدبي والوعي الاجتماعي الجمعي. وتسعى هذه الدراسة إلى سدّ هذه الفجوة من خلال توظيف مفاهيم أساسية في البنيوية التكوينية، مثل: رؤية العالم، والفاعل الجمعي، والتماثل البنيوي، بوصفها أدوات تحليلية. تعتمد الدراسة منهجًا نوعيًا قائمًا على التحليل النصي العميق (Close Reading) والتحليل البنيوي، حيث تتمثل وحدة التحليل في مقاطع مختارة من القصيدة، والصور البلاغية المتكررة، والأنماط اللغوية. وتشمل إجراءات التحليل رسم الخرائط الدلالية، وتحديد الثنائيات الضدية، وتحليل البنية الزمنية، ثم ربط هذه العناصر النصية بالسياق الاجتماعي–التاريخي الفلسطيني. وتُظهر النتائج أن القصيدة تبني رؤية عالم جمعية متماسكة قائمة على الاستمرارية التاريخية، والمقاومة، والبقاء الثقافي. ويتجلّى ذلك من خلال أنماط الامتداد الزمني، ومركزية الفاعل الجمعي، والبنى الرمزية القائمة على قلب الدلالات، مما يعكس تماثلًا بنيويًا بين البنية الشعرية والبنية الاجتماعية للتجربة الفلسطينية. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن المقاومة لا تتجلّى على المستوى الموضوعي فحسب، بل تتجذّر أيضًا في البنية النصية ذاتها، مما يؤكد فاعلية البنيوية التكوينية بوصفها إطارًا منهجيًا لتحليل أدب المقاومة المعاصر.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan al-Itnāb (verbositas retoris) dalam narasi kisah Nabi Musa di dalam Al-Qur’an, dengan pendekatan ilmu balaghah (retorika Arab). Melalui metode analisis konten kualitatif, kajian berfokus pada identifikasi bentuk dan fungsi retoris al-Itnāb dalam ayat-ayat yang memuat kisah Nabi Musa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa al-Itnāb muncul dalam tiga bentuk utama, yaitu pengulangan leksikal (Itnāb al-Tikrār), perincian deskriptif (Itnāb al-Tafṣīl), dan penyebutan untuk makna lain (Itnāb al-Ḏikr al-Murād bi al-Maqṣūd). Bentuk-bentuk tersebut berfungsi untuk menegaskan pesan moral, memperdalam karakterisasi tokoh, serta membangun keterlibatan emosional dan psikologis audiens. Dengan demikian, al-Itnāb dalam kisah Nabi Musa bukan merupakan redundansi bahasa, melainkan strategi retoris yang disengaja untuk memperkuat dampak pedagogis dan naratif kisah Al-Qur’an. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang dimensi kebahasaan dan retoris dalam penafsiran kisah-kisah Al-Qur’an, sekaligus menegaskan keistimewaan stilistika kitab suci tersebut. Kata Kunci: al-Itnāb, narasi Qur’ani, retorika, kisah Nabi Musa, balaghah.
