Abstract

Dalung Permai housing is that has a fairly high trip generation, many had access road leading to the workplace, both working in government, private as well as to schools and shopping centers and entertainment. Ahousingshouldprovideatranquility awayfrom the noisein accordancewith the Decree of the Governor of Bali No.8 Year 2007 on Environmental Quality Standards and Criteria Raw Environmental Damage that thres hold noise level forresidential areasandsettlementsamounted to55dB.The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the traffic, the noise level of traffic, the perception of the population in Dalung Permai housing. Data collected by way of interviews with respondents and direct measurements in the field. Based on the data analysis it is known that the highest traffic volume during rush hour occurred in the morning (07.00 to 09.00) in the segment Jl. Tegal Luwih with volume vehicle as much as 21.599 vehicles, the segment Jl. Dalung Permai and segments Jl. Tegal Permai occurred in the afternoon (05.00 to 07.00) with a total volume of 22.450 and 17.587 vehicles. Instantaneous speed of the average of each type of vehicle ranges between 33-40 km per hour. The main sources of traffic noise is a four-stroke motorcycles with prosenatse average reached 91.61% of the total number of vehicles. The average noise level measured has exceeded the threshold setandar quality standard that ranged from 73.71 to 76.77 dB. In the segment Jl. Tegal Luwih, segments Jl. Tegal Permai and segments Jl. Dalung Permai give the perception that the level of traffic noise in a residential area is disturbing level of comfort.

Abstract

The textile industry is growing rapidly and as the result it’s producing waste that can harm the environment. One of which is rhodamine B. Rhodamine B is a synthetics dyes that have a form crystalline which an organic base containing amino groups, so it is difficult to degrade naturally by microorganism. Biofiltration system method is one of many ways in handling wastewater. Layered filtration unit of sand and rocks combine with the adsorption of plant and decomposition by microorganisms in rhizosphere so that wastewater can be reused. The aim of this study determined effectiveness and capacity of biofiltration system vegetation in reducing concentrate of rhodamine-B, total dissolved solid (TDS), total suspended solid (TSS) and the pH in wastewater. The result showed that biofiltration effectiveness in reducing rhodamine B, TDS and TSS concetrate were 51,70%; 47,60%; 50,44% while decreasing and stabilization of pH obtained at 30 hours treatment time with pH value is 7,5. Capacity of biofiltration system vegetation with volume 0,06 m3 can reduced rhodamine B, TDS and TSS by 0,2256 ppm; 278,0237 ppm and 9,4978 ppm respectively, while the optimum detention time of wastewater in the biosystem for reducing rhodamine B was 30 hours and for TSS and TDS was 36 hours. It can be concluded that biofiltration system vegetation was able to reduce rhodamine B, TDS, TSS and pH of wastewater

Abstract

The biodegradatio nof Rhodamine B may not be directly result in CO2 and H2O, rather other pollutans such asphenol, ammonia, and chloride ions. The objective of this research are to determine the effectivity of thebiosys templants indegradating Rhodamine B and the capability to reducethe contents of phenol, ammonia, chloride ionsand COD.Concentration artificial waste Rhodamine B that used in this research are 1 mg/L. Seeding sediment using microorganism selected from dyeingwaste disposallocated in the village Pemogan, South Denpasar than disseminated into a bath biosystem in which hadgiven thesand, pebbles and Ipomeacarssicaulis. Furthermore artificial waste Rhodamine B poured into the biosystem and waste waterwere analyzed with the time rangeevery 6 hours from 0 until 48 hours. The results of the capability treatment system showed that the biosystems of plants was capable to reduce optimals levels of Phenol from 24 to 30 hours of processing amounted to 0.2906 mg / L, Ammonia from 24 to 36 hours of processing amounted to 0.1452 mg / L, Ion Klorida and COD from 18 to 30 hours of processing amounted to 2.127 mg / L and 3.848 mg / L. Biosystems plant is effective to lowering levels of phenol and ammonia (above 50%), but less effective in lowering levels of Chloride Ion and COD.

Abstract

The goal of the study was to analyze the water quality of dug wells based on Bali Governor Regulation No. 16 of 2016 and Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No.492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010, which analyzes the quality status of dug well water and its distribution based on the Pollution Index (IP) value and community behavior in Sanur Kauh Village, South Denpasar. Purposive sampling at three stations with three repeats was used to determine the sample. Temperature, color, taste, odor, TDS, turbidity, pH, DO, BOD, COD, Nitrate (NO3-N), Phosphate (PO4), Chloride (Cl-), Iron (fe), E. Coli, and total coliforms were among the parameters measured in situ and ex situ (laboratory). Questionnaires and interviews with respondents who used dug well water were used to collect data on perception and behavior of components (households, business actors and/or activities, farmers, and the government), which were analyzed using a Likert scale and binary model. Surfer and GIS were used to map the water from an excavated well. The results of the analysis of the quality of dug well water exceeded the Class I Water quality standard set by Bali Governor Regulation No. 16 of 2016 for BOD, COD, phosphate, nitrate, iron, total coliform, and turbidity parameters, as well as the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation No.492/Menkes /Per/IV/2010 for BOD, COD, phosphate, nitrate, iron, total coliform, and turbidity parameters Population activities, pollution sources, climate, soil type and topography, height and depth of the well all influence the water quality status of dug wells, which is classified as moderately polluted. The average community's impression of the provision of dug well water, water pollution, and waste management is positive, and the average community conduct is positive.
