Abstract

Puberty or the transition from childhood to adulthood is one phase of human life. Teenagers will experience physical, mental and social changes throughout this time as part of puberty. Today, puberty hits many children much earlier than in the past. Lack of understanding is a problem faced by children aged puberty, which is actually not much different. Stress may arise when a child develops faster than other children because they feel different. This research aims to find out whether menstruation education in princess activities can influence the understanding and readiness of grade 5 female students in dealing with the menstruation they will experience and whether there are changes in attitudes, beliefs and stigma towards menstruation after female students take part in education through princess activities. The approach taken in this research uses a mixed methods research approach which emphasizes quantitative research. This research uses a sequential mixed methods strategy, especially a sequential explanatory strategy. The results of the research show that the P value obtained is 0.000 < α which is set at 0.05, meaning that there is a significant impact of menstruation education through women's education activities on increasing understanding and readiness to face menstruation in grade 5 female students at MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun. Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to achieve predetermined goals, including in the context of teaching Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam - SKI). In the teaching process, teachers need to implement various effective strategies to ensure that learning objectives are achieved successfully. The approaches used by educators should facilitate students in understanding the material in an easy, effective, and clear manner. Thus, the material delivered becomes not only information but also something that students can utilize in their daily lives. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the quiz method in improving the quality of learning and how the quiz method can optimize the quality of teaching Islamic Cultural History (SKI) for fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The study employs a qualitative approach, emphasizing an in-depth understanding of the application of the quiz method in the context of teaching SKI to fourth-grade students at the Madrasah. The sample selection was conducted using random sampling techniques, and data were collected through interviews with teachers and students, direct observations during the learning process, and relevant school documentation. The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of the quiz method significantly improves the quality of learning. This is evident from the increased interest, motivation, and engagement of students in learning activities. Students no longer remain passive listeners but actively participate in the learning process through discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and collaborations.Additionally, the quiz method enhances students' collaboration and teamwork skills, as well as significantly improves their understanding and retention of the material taught by the teacher. Through the implementation of this quiz method, the learning process becomes more interactive and enjoyable, thereby achieving educational goals more optimally. Abstract

Fostering student independence, especially in boarding life away from parents, is very important. A teacher must be able to communicate well in the process of fostering and supervising this independence. Teachers have an active role in fostering student independence, so good communication between teachers and students is absolutely necessary. Thus, students' independence can be well formed through the active role and effective communication of the teacher. This thesis examines how the independence of 5th grade students of MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun in dormitory life and teacher communication in fostering the independence of life. This research method uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through observation and in-depth interviews with students and 5th grade teachers of MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The research subjects consisted of 35 students and 4 5th grade teachers of MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The results showed that the life independence of 5th grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun was influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include intrinsic motivation, level of self-confidence, and ability to manage time. External factors include the school environment, life skills guidance from teachers, as well as the influence of independent peers. In addition, this study explores the importance of teacher communication in fostering students' life independence. Grade 5 teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun use interpersonal and group forms of communication. And a combination of verbal and nonverbal communication is also used to convey information clearly, thus creating a dynamic learning environment, and supporting students' holistic development. These communication strategies help students to increase their independence and develop time management skills that are essential in boarding school life. Abstract

Speaking skill becomes an important aspect of communication that influences the development of students’ character and creativity. And the storytelling method could be employed to stimulate students’ interest, strengthen their understanding of the content, and build confidence in public speaking. The study aims to analyze the implementation of the storytelling method to improve students’ speaking skills in fifth grade of Islamic Primary Boarding School of Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is collected through interviews with teachers and students to gain in-depth understanding of learning process. The results show that most students experienced an increase in interest and ability to speak. Storytelling has proven to be effective in supporting students' personal and moral development, and expanding their knowledge and vocabulary as well. Moreover, storytelling helps students participate more actively during lessons, overcome shyness, and increase their confidence in speaking in front of the class. The researcher concludes that storytelling is an effective strategy to improve students' speaking skills with consideration of the story’s relevance and the use of simple structure organization and easy to understand. Abstract

In the learning process, learning media is needed so that the learning process is not monotonous and boring. Flash card media is one of the many media used in the Arabic language learning process, especially in learning mufradat. This research examines the utilization of flash card media in learning mufradat class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun in 2024. The focus of the problem of this research is how the utilization of flash card media and what is the impact of using flash card media on learning mufradat class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The purpose of this research is to find out the utilization of flash card media and the impact of using flash card media on learning mufradat class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. This research used qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with students and Arabic teachers of grade VII, documentation and questionnaires. The samples taken were class VII-A-07 which amounted to 28 students and VII-B-02 which amounted to 26 students. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The results of this study showed that the use of flash card media in learning mufradat in class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun in 2024 showed positive results. Flash card media as learning media is able to increase student motivation and interest, create a more relaxed and active learning atmosphere, improve understanding and memory, increase student focus, and overcome learning difficulties

Abstract

In the field of education, students are guided to develop their potential, to hon and cultivate their interpersonal intelligence as a foundation to help them be accepted by society. Interpersonal intelligence greatly assists children forming good social relationships, which is one of the key factors to navigate daily life. Students with strong interpersonal intelligence are better able to understand and interact with others, enabling them to socialize effectively. However, the current reality shows that many children still struggle to develop interpersonal intelligence properly. For example. children often use aggressive language, mock, belittle, or tease others while playing which lead to bullying behaviors. The aim of this study is to identify the types of bullying occurred at Islamic Primary School of Sirojudin, then to assess the condition of students’ interpersonal intelligence who experiencen being bullied, and explore the relationship between interpersonal intelligence and bullying. This study refers to a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher employs interview, observation, and documentation techniques for data collection. The results of the study show that (1) the bullying occurred at the school takes the form of physical, verbal, and relational bullying; (2) bullying affects students’ interpersonal intelligence, as students who experience bullying tend to feel insecure and struggle to socialize effectively; and finally (3) bullying and students' interpersonal intelligence are correlated.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the akad salam contract in book procurement at the IAI AL-AZIS Indramayu Library and its compliance with the principles of Islamic economic law. The research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of the akad salam aligns with the library's standard operating procedures (SOP). The procurement process involves identifying needs, selecting books through e-commerce, and making upfront payments before delivery. The akad salam provides flexibility and ease in procurement, supported by online technology to enhance efficiency. Risk management is carried out through buyer reviews and communication with sellers, ensuring the quality of the books received matches the orders. From the perspective of Islamic economic law, the implementation of the akad salam meets the requirements, namely upfront payment for goods to be received later. Online book procurement at the IAI AL-AZIS Library also reflects transparency and efficiency. By applying the akad salam, the library can effectively provide the necessary academic references, adhere to Sharia principles, and leverage modern technology to support educational needs. This study highlights the significant role of the akad salam in ensuring efficiency and sustainability in Sharia-based book procurement.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas praktik jual beli menggunakan fitur Shopee PayLater dari perspektif hukum Islam, dengan fokus pada mahasiswa Fakultas Syariah IAI AL-AZIS. Perkembangan teknologi finansial telah menghadirkan fitur "PayLater" yang populer di kalangan mahasiswa, termasuk Shopee PayLater, yang memungkinkan pembayaran tertunda. Meskipun memudahkan, fitur ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran dalam perspektif hukum Islam, terutama terkait riba dan gharar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menggambarkan praktik penggunaan Shopee PayLater oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Syariah dan tantangan yang dihadapi, serta (2) meninjau kesesuaiannya dengan prinsip syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap mahasiswa yang menggunakan Shopee PayLater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas mahasiswa menggunakan fitur ini untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari dengan memilih opsi cicilan, namun menghadapi tantangan seperti manajemen utang dan keterlambatan pembayaran. Dalam hukum Islam, ditemukan bahwa penggunaan Shopee PayLater mengandung ketidaksesuaian, terutama terkait dengan adanya riba, gharar, penambahan atas utang pokok, dan denda keterlambatan, yang bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum Islam. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang transaksi berbasis kredit dalam e-commerce agar sesuai dengan syariah. Abstract This research discusses the practice of buying and selling using the Shopee PayLater feature from the perspective of Islamic law, focusing on the Sharia Faculty students of IAI AL-AZIS. The development of financial technology has introduced the "PayLater" feature, which is popular among students, including Shopee PayLater, allowing deferred payments. Although convenient, this feature raises concerns from an Islamic law perspective, especially regarding riba and gharar. This study aims to (1) describe the practice of using Shopee PayLater by Sharia Faculty students and the challenges they face, and (2) review its compliance with Sharia principles. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, collecting data through interviews and observations of students who use Shopee PayLater. The findings show that the majority of students use this feature to meet daily needs by opting for installment plans, but they face challenges such as debt management and payment delays. In Islamic law, it is found that the use of Shopee PayLater contains inconsistencies, particularly related to riba, gharar, additional debt charges, and late payment fees, which are contrary to Islamic legal principles. This study emphasizes the importance of a deeper understanding of credit-based transactions in e-commerce to ensure Sharia compliance. Abstract

This journal examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum principles in Arabic language learning in the 7th grade at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun Indramayu during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research problem focuses on the application of the Merdeka Curriculum principles in Arabic language learning in the 7th grade at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun Indramayu in the 2023/2024 academic year, as well as the evaluation of the curriculum's implementation in the same context. The purpose of this study is to assess both the application and the evaluation of the Merdeka Curriculum principles in Arabic language instruction in the 7th grade at the institution during the 2023/2024 academic year. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation and in-depth interviews with two Arabic language teachers of the 7th grade and 12 students as the sample for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results show that the application of the Merdeka Curriculum principles in Arabic language learning in the 7th grade at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun is aligned with the curriculum's core principles. The school has also integrated modern technology into the learning process, which is one of the key components of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, since the implementation is still in progress, the outcomes have not yet reached their full potential.

Abstract

Private schools such as Islamic boarding schools are described as schools where students study the Al-Qur'an by studying Arabic, because before studying the Al-Qur'an, students are expected to be able to understand Arabic letters and how to pronounce them. This is in line with the stereotype that has developed in society that Islamic boarding school graduates have good Arabic language skills. However, in reality, many students who attend Islamic boarding schools or some who have graduated have not yet actively communicated using Arabic. In one study, this was caused by students not practicing enough Arabic language learning during school. The aim of this research is to analyze and determine the problems experienced by students in applying the language environment and the various efforts of teachers in meeting students' needs in applying the language environment, especially in the school environment. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive techniques. Data collection used observation techniques and in-depth interviews with students and Arabic language teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun, with a total of 42 informants. The results of this research show that the majority of students when interviewed used Arabic, they were able to answer simple questions about greeting and identity, a small percentage were unable to answer simple questions due to a lack of vocabulary, this is one of the problems experienced by students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun.
