Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas perpustakaan di SD Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu, yang terletak di Jalan Nuri, Anggut Dalam, Kecamatan Ratu Samban, Kota Bengkulu. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah persiapan, termasuk koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, survei lokasi kegiatan, memberikan pendampingan, dan menyelenggarakan pelatihan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan. Tahap terakhir dalam proses pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi untuk memberikan umpan balik terhadap pelaksanaan program literasi. Dampak dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan minat baca siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, pengabdian ini juga bertujuan untuk memperkuat kerja sama antara pihak yang memberikan pengabdian dengan pengurus perpustakaan sekolah untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah secara maksimal. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SD Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu dan meningkatkan minat baca siswa secara signifikan. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan kepada pengurus perpustakaan sekolah, serta meningkatkan kualitas sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SD Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu dan meningkatkan minat baca siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil pengabdian kolaborasi dengan SD Negeri 1 Baubau pada tahun 2024, dengan topik Desain Pojok Baca Inspiratif Di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Baubau. Bertujuan untuk menambah fasilitas pendukung peningkatan literasi baca siswa dan meningkatkan pelaksanaan program kreatif pojok baca dalam peningkatan pemanfaatanya. Berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan peningkatan literasi siswa. Desain pojok baca ini memanfaatkan ruang yang ada dengan optimal, memperhatikan faktor kenyamanan, estetika, dan fungsionalitas. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei kebutuhan, analisis ruang, dan konsultasi dengan pihak sekolah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pada kegiatan sebelum dilakukan tindakan, minat baca di SD Negeri 1 Baubau masih rendah namun setelajh dilakukan penambahan koleksi di beberapa pojok baca yang sudah tersedia, maka animo peserta didik dalam menggunakan bahan bacaan semakin baik. Kondisi yang kedua adalah tentang sarana pojok baca yang kurang memadai, setelkah dilakukan tindakan, SD Negeri 1 Baubau mengalami penambahan fasilitas sarana pojok baca. Kondisi ketiga yaitu tentang ruang kelas yang kurang termanfaatkan, dengan dilakukan tindakan berupa pembuatan pojok baca, ruang kelas di SD Negeri 1 Baubau dari segi pemanfaatan ruangan lebih efektif dan efisien..

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui revitalisasi perpustakaan sekolah di SD Negeri 22 Kota Bengkulu dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Pendekatan ini melibatkan perbaikan infrastruktur perpustakaan, pengembangan koleksi buku yang relevan, dan implementasi program literasi yang aktif melibatkan siswa serta komunitas sekolah. Metode kegiatan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan analisis data kunjungan serta peminjaman buku sebelum dan setelah revitalisasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam frekuensi kunjungan siswa ke perpustakaan dan jumlah buku yang dipinjam setelah implementasi program. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang merangsang minat baca siswa di SD Negeri 22 Kota Bengkulu, mengukuhkan peran strategis perpustakaan sebagai sumber daya pendidikan yang vital dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PPM) which was carried out aims to assist SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City in compiling an IASP 2020-based accreditation form. In 2022, reaccreditation will be carried out. Based on the results of interviews with school principals and teachers, the school accreditation preparation team did not fully understand the 2020 IASP, the deadline for preparation for accreditation in the near future, insufficient physical evidence, incomplete accreditation guidelines, schools did not have time to conduct self-evaluations and lack of coordination. and communication between individuals and teams. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out assistance activities in preparation for accreditation. The method used is discussion and question and answer. The subject of this community service is the team that composes the accreditation form for SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City. This activity has been carried out for 4 meetings, which include the socialization of IASP 2020, filling out accreditation forms, presenting the results of filling out forms, and evaluating forms. During this service activity, all teams have carried out the form preparation activities well. The result of this service activity is that SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City has completed all components of the accreditation form and met the internal quality standard values.

This literature review explores the potential avenues for enhancing the quality of mathematics education through innovative approaches. The analysis encompasses conventional and emerging methodologies, focusing on problem-based learning, gamification, and inquiry-based strategies. The study evaluates the strengths and limitations of these approaches, drawing insights from empirical studies to underscore their impact on student engagement and achievement. Additionally, the review addresses challenges faced at the student and teacher levels, proposing strategies such as comprehensive teacher training and technological support. The implications for mathematics education are discussed, emphasizing the need for a balanced integration of conventional and innovative methods. Recommendations for future research highlight potential areas for further exploration, including the long-term impact of innovative approaches on student learning outcomes. Abstract

Program KKN Tematik di Desa Waworaha dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga dan pencemaran mikroplastik di kawasan pesisir. Kondisi awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat belum mempraktikkan pemilahan sampah, dengan banyaknya sampah yang dibakar atau dibuang langsung ke laut dan lahan kosong. Praktik ini berisiko besar terhadap kualitas lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Program ini terdiri dari tiga kegiatan utama: sosialisasi mengenai bahaya mikroplastik kepada siswa SMP untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran dini, bimbingan teknis mengenai pemilahan sampah rumah tangga untuk masyarakat dan aparat desa, serta pemasangan tempat sampah terpilah di lokasi strategis desa. Sosialisasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang dampak mikroplastik, sedangkan bimbingan teknis dilakukan untuk mengajarkan cara memilah sampah sesuai dengan kategori organik, anorganik, dan B3. Tempat sampah terpilah dipasang di lokasi-lokasi dengan tingkat aktivitas tinggi, seperti kawasan wisata dan fasilitas umum, untuk mendukung praktik pemilahan di tingkat pengguna. Evaluasi yang dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pengelolaan sampah dan mikroplastik. Program ini dinilai efektif, namun untuk menjaga keberlanjutan, diperlukan tindak lanjut berupa pemantauan, pelatihan lanjutan, serta penguatan kelembagaan agar pengelolaan sampah yang baik dapat terus berlanjut di Desa Waworaha.

Abstract

Solar energy is a renewable energy source that has become increasingly popular in recent years as an electricity source. However, the availability of trained personnel to install rooftop solar panels is limited. This community service program was conducted to provide training in residential solar system installation for students from Dayah Mini Banda Aceh. The training took place in the Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Laboratory at Universitas Syiah Kuala, where theoretical training on renewable energy was combined with demonstrations of equipment and simulated installation practice. The modules included rail mounting, panel positioning, inverter connections, charge controller setup, and wiring in series and parallel. Students were guided by lecturers and assisted by engineering students who had already undergone training in this field. They exhibited great enthusiasm and completed all the stages of installation successfully. This program not only addresses the shortage of workers with such skills in the solar installation industry but also helps students from low-income families acquire these practical competencies that can lead to jobs or entrepreneurship within the ever-growing sector of renewable energy; thus reducing unemployment among their communities while supporting Indonesia's shift towards sustainable energy.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the elements of integer counting operations contained in the cat-cat game and to clarify its contribution in the context of mathematics education and preserving local culture. The method in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection carried out through direct observation during the game and focusing on player interactions and the strategies used when playing the kucing-kucing game. The results of the research show that the cat-cat game contains elements of the concept of integer counting operations, namely multiplication, division, addition and subtraction (Kabataku), especially related to the rules of the game using 12 cat-cats and a tennis ball as the tools used in the game. This makes a significant contribution in the context of mathematics education, showing the potential of traditional games as a meaningful learning resource. This research emphasizes the importance of maintaining and introducing traditional games in efforts to preserve cultural heritage and provide interesting learning alternatives for students.

Abstract

Based on PISA, Indonesian students' mathematical literacy skills are very low. This study investigates the effectiveness of Mathos AI-assisted deep learning design in improving PISA-like mathematical literacy among junior high school students. Using design research methodology with validation studies approach. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test, classroom observation, interviews, and analysis of student work. The findings revealed significant improvements in students' mathematical literacy, with positive impacts on their motivation and engagement. The integration of Mathos AI facilitates personalized learning and provides valuable insights into students' learning processes. This study contributes to the growing literature on AI-driven educational interventions, which offer practical implications for improving mathematical literacy in real-world classroom settings. The conclusion of this study is that Mathos AI-assisted deep learning is able to improve PISA-like mathematical literacy skills among junior high school students. The integration of AI-based tools in mathematics education can result in improved learning outcomes and student engagement. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of AI-based interventions and develop best practices for their implementation.
