Abstract

Spektrofotometer adalah sistem baku berbasis kolorimetri dalam pengukuran kadar Hemoglobin (Hb). Penggunaan scanner untuk mengukur kadar Hb berbasis kolorimetri telah dilakukan sebagai sistem alternatif. Kurva baku kanal warna scanner yang paling curam adalah blue. Perbandingan kurva baku spektrofotometer dengan kanal warna blue menunjukan nilai y = 0.3131x + 0.0565 dengan R2 = 0.9954 dan angka konversi nilai absorbansi desktop scanner menjadi kadar Hb adalah 73.6. Hasil uji Pasangan T menghasilkan nilai p sebesar 0.325 atau tidak berbeda nyata pada p ˃ 0.05.

Abstract

Antibodi imunoglobulin G (IgG) merupakan salah satu immunoglobulin yang dikandung oleh antibodi anti-sperma (ASA) yang terdapat pada saluran reproduksi betina. Imunoglobulin G dapt berikatan dengan protein-protein yang berpotensi sebagai protein antigenik seperti alfa enolase (ENO1). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dinamika dan potensi ENO1 membran plasma spermatozoa sebagai protein antigenik serta kualitas spermatozoa sapi Bali dengan perlakuan 0,5 mg/ml IgG. Sampel penelitian adalah 16 ejakulat yang diperoleh dari 4 ekor pejantan. Motilitas spermatozoa dievaluasi menggunakan CASA, viabilitas melalui metode pewarnaan diferensial, Keutuhan Membran Plasma (MPU) menggunakan metode Hypo-osmotic Swelling Test (HOS-Test), nilai Mix Anti-globulin Reaction (MAR) diperoleh dari MAR-Test, sedangkan kuantitas ENO1 diukur dengan ELISA. Analisis data menggunakan analisis ragam RAK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan IgG sampai 0,5 mg/ml menurunkan motilitas, kinematika spermatozoa, viabilitas, MPU dan kuantitas ENO1 membran plasma spermatozoa (P<0,01), serta meningkatkan nilai MAR-test (P<0,05). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa IgG dapat menurunkan kualitas spermatozoa dan kuantitas ENO1, sekaligus menunjukkan bahwa ENO1 membran plasma spermatozoa sapi Bali berpotensi sebagai protein antigenik.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve reproductive condition of postpartum anestrus of Etawa crossbreed (PE) goats using PGF2α hormone or progesterone (controlled internal drug release/CIDR-G) and improve pregnancy success from artificial insemination (AI) with human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) hormone administration. Administration of progesterone increased estrus by 100%, which was higher than the 70% produced from prostaglandin F2 alfa (PGF2α) administration. Estrus onset in CIDR group (35.80±13.33 hours) was faster than PGF2α group (45.6±9.2 hours). Clinical signs of vulva (redness and swollen) were more intense in CIDR-G group (80% and 70%, respectively) compared to PGF2α group (70% and 57%, respectively). Estrus duration in PGF2α group (52.17±3.34 hours) was longer than CIDR-G group (49.61±3.56 hours). Pregnancy success in group given hCG was 66.7% while in non-hCG group was 50%. In conclusion, CIDR-G and PGF2α administration is effective to induce estrus of postpartum anestrus PE goats. Administration of hCG at the onset of estrus is effective to improve pregnancy success.

Abstract

The present study examines anatomy of Gayo mare reproductive organs. This study used three sample of Gayo mare reproductive organs (n= 3) for observation of morphology and morphometric of the mare reproductive organs. The ovarium was fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde solution then followed by histological method and stained using hematoxylin and eosin (HE) and Masson’s trichome (MT). Three mares were observed for diameter and changes overview of uterus during estrous cycle in real time using ultrasound. The results showed that, in general, the anatomy of Gayo mare’s reproductive organs was similar to other mares, but smaller in morphometry. The total length of the Gayo mare’s reproductive tract from labia to apex cornua was 48.00±1.00 cm. Weight of Gayo mare’s left ovary was 19.07±7.70 g and the right was 24.43±0.83 g. Histologically, there was no difference between Gayo mare’s structure and other mares. In cortex uteri there were some follicles surrounded by capillary, various development stages of follicles, healthy follicles, atretic follicle, and corpus albican; while in medulla there were a lot of connective tissues. Ultrasound of the uterus showed the change in diameter during estrous cycle with the largest diameter of corpus uteri was 4.43±0.10 cm in horses with estrous cycle of 21 days and 6.30±0.93 cm in horses with 24 days estrous cycle. In conclusion, the morphometry of Gayo mare reproductive organs are smaller than the other horses and there are differences in diameter of the uterus during the estrous cycle due to the changes of endometrium thickness.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of repeated freeze-thaw cycles and short-term storage of fecal extracts at ambient temperature on the stability of fecal glucocorticoid (fGCM) and estrogen metabolite (fEM) levels from crested macaques.In total 100 aliquots of fecal extracts from fecal samples collected from female crested macaques (Macaca nigra) living at the Tangkoko-Batuangus Nature Reserve, North Sulawesi were used. We performed two different experiments: (1) An experiment to investigate if levels of fGCM and fEM measured from fecal extracts that were exposed to two, four, six and eight repeated freeze-thaw cycles (test groups) differ to control samples (i.e. fecal extracts always stored frozen); (2) An experiment to evaluate whether storing fecal extracts at ambient temperature for two, four, six, and eight days (test groups)affects the levels of fGCM and fEM compared to the control group (i.e. fecal extracts frozen immediately).Results showed that hormone levels were significantly increased (P0.05) after four freeze-thaw cycles for fGCM and after eight freeze-thaw cycles for fEM. By contrast, there was no significant difference (P0.05) in levels of fGCM and fEM between the test groups and the control group in fecal extracts stored at ambient temperature. In conclusion, our data show that more than two and six repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided when measuring fGCM and fEM in crested macaque fecal extracts, respectively. We also demonstrate that storing fecal extracts at ambient temperature is possible for at least 8 days without taking a risk of affecting the stability of fGCM and fEM levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan morfologi pertumbuhan ranggah velvet (RV) dua ekor muncak jantan (M1 dan M2) yang dipelihara di kandang penelitian secara terpisah. Tanggal lepas ranggah dan hari pertama percabangan RV serta awal pengelupasan kulit velvet diamati dan dicatat. Pengukuran meliputi panjang dan diameter ranggah velvet utama (RVU) dan ranggah velvet cabang (RVC) dexter et sinister, serta durasi pertumbuhan RV. Rataan ± SD panjang dan diameter maksimum RVU dan RVC muncak M1 adalah 148,25±1,12 mm; 46,26±0,68 mm (panjang), 19,21±2,35 mm; 9,12±0,21 mm (diameter) dengan durasi pertumbuhan 104 hari; sedangkan muncak M2 berturut-turut adalah: 146,44±1,58 mm; 46,94±1,97 mm (panjang); 13,65±1,27 mm; 8,49±0,29 mm (diameter) dengan durasi pertumbuhan 98 hari. Tidak terdapat perbedaan tahapan pertumbuhan RVU dan RVC antara muncak M2 dan M1, namun berbeda pada ukuran RV dan durasi pertumbuhannya. Muncak M2 memasuki ranggah keras setelah pengelupasan kulit velvet lebih cepat dibandingkan M1. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ukuran pertumbuhan RV berkorelasi erat dengan faktor umur, berat badan, dan postur tubuh muncak jantan.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan penggabungan benda maya dua dimensi (2D) atau tiga dimensi (3D) ke dalam lingkungan nyata secara real time. Pada PT. Lingkar Indonesia Mengajar, aplikasi yang dibuat hanya memperkenalkan buah-buahan melalui gambar dan teks saja, client merasa pembelajaran ini masih kurang efektif karena pembaca harus sedikit berimajinasi bagaimana sebenarnya dari keseluruhan wujud buahnya. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dalam edukasi nama buah-buahan dengan menerapkan Augmented Reality untuk menampilkan objek dengan smartphone. Dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Kotlin, library Sceneform Maintained SDK, dan metode markerless yaitu metode yang penerapannya tanpa menggunakan marker atau penanda untuk memunculkan augmented reality buah-buahan seperti pisang, apel, delima, jeruk, semangka, dan mangga. Berdasarkan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 15 responden dimana rata-rata persentase jawaban 85% menyetujui bahwa aplikasi yang dibuat telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan user. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi yang dibuat dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang buah-buahan, dengan visualisasi dan interaksi yang lebih menarik bagi user.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the ultrasound image of preovulatory follicle growth in gayo mares to predict the ovulation time. This study used three Gayo mares and one gayo stallion for teaser aged 5-10 years and weighed 200-250 kg. Preovulatory follicle growth was observed using transrectal ultrasonography which was performed when the dominant follicle size was ≥ 3.5 cm. Observations were made for 3 consecutive estrous periods on gayo mares at relatively the same time. The absence of previous follicular appearance and the presence of hypoechoic area in the same ovary indicate that ovulation has occurred. The result revealed that the diameter of preovulatory follicle of gayo mares was 4.02±0.32 to 5.05±0.04 cm. There was no significant follicle growth in the last 48 hours before ovulation and the preovulatory follicle shape altered from spherical to pearshape. Many small follicles (2 cm in diameter) were observed in peripheral area of the ovary indicated the recruitment of follicles which form the first follicular wave. To conclude, the alteration in the size and pearshape of preovulatory follicle and the recruitment of small follicles can be used as a marker to determine the time of ovulation on gayo mares.

Abstract

Endometritis merupakan gangguan reproduksi akibat infeksi uterus yang menyebabkan penurunan efisiensi reproduksi dan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar pada peternakan sapi perah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis secara spesifik tentang prevalensi, faktor kejadian dan pengaruh endometritis terhadap efisiensi reproduksi pada sapi perah. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder 580 ekor sapi perah dari 98 peternak yang dikoleksi dari data recording reproduksi sapi perah di KPBS Pangalengan periode Januari sampai dengan Juni 2020. Data prevalensi, faktor kejadian endometritis, service per conception, conception rate dan pregnancy rate dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunkan Microsoft Excel, sedangkan jarak lahir ke IB pertama dan days open dianalisis mengunakan independent-sample t test. Hasil penelitian ditemukan data 120 ekor sapi perah yang mengalami endometritis dan 460 ekor tanpa endometritis dengan tingkat prevalensi sebesar 20,69%, prevalensi tertinggi pada laktasi ≥2, faktor kejadian berturut-turut adalah infeksi post partus pada partus normal (41,67%), kesulitan melahirkan (41,67%), retensio plasenta (9,17%), abortus (4,17), hipokalsemia/milk fever (2,50%) dan metritis (0,53%). Sapi dengan endometritis mengalami penundaan jarak lahir ke IB pertama dibandingkan tanpa endometritis (123,57±52,77 vs 90,94±41,18 hari) dan perpanjangan days open (146,98±63,01 vs 104,31±46,13 hari). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kejadian endometritis dapat menurunkan efisiensi reproduksi pada sapi perah dengan perpanjangan days open sekitar 2 siklus estrus.

Abstract

This research discusses risk management strategies for managing productive waqf with the aim of minimizing risks and maximizing profits. This research uses a literature analysis method by prioritizing descriptive and qualitative methods. The research results show that risk identification, evaluation, and control are key stages in productive waqf risk management. Risk control strategies such as investment diversification, the use of derivative financial instruments, and creating contingency plans have proven effective in managing risk. Continuous evaluation and monitoring are also important to ensure risk control strategies remain relevant and effective. In conclusion, risk management is a key element in maintaining the sustainability of productive waqf programs. By implementing appropriate risk management strategies, waqf managers can minimize potential losses and ensure that waqf assets remain productive and provide sustainable benefits to society.
