Abstract

The use of inappropriate language among elementary school students has increasingly become a concern in educational and social contexts, particularly in relation to moral and character development. Within Islamic education, the habituation of thayyibah expressions is considered an essential approach to fostering ethical communication and positive social behavior from an early age. This study aims to examine the effect of thayyibah expression habituation on negative language use tendencies among elementary school students. A quantitative descriptive method was employed using a survey involving 51 third-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques based on percentage distribution. The findings reveal that students’ thayyibah expression habituation was predominantly high, while tendencies toward negative language use were generally low to moderate. These results indicate that stronger thayyibah expression habituation is associated with lower negative language tendencies, highlighting its role in supporting ethical language behavior and moral development in elementary education.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating the Advanced Organizer learning model with YouTube media to strengthen Islamic digital literacy and learning outcomes in Islamic Moral Education (Akidah Akhlak)  at MIN 7 Tapin. Employing a quantitative quasi-experimental design with pretest–posttest control groups, the study involved 104 sixth-grade students. The experimental group received learning through the Advanced Organizer model supported by Islamic YouTube content, while the control group received conventional instruction. Data were collected using validated achievement tests, Islamic digital literacy questionnaires, and learning observation sheets. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, independent t-test, and Cohen’s d effect size using SPSS 26.0. The results revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05) with a high effect size (d = 0.84), indicating that the integration significantly improved students’ conceptual understanding and ability to utilize digital media based on Islamic ethics. This study contributes theoretically by operationalizing Islamic digital literacy as a cognitively scaffolded instructional framework rather than a mere ethical or technical construct. The findings extend meaningful learning theory into faith-based digital education contexts by demonstrating how moral cognition can be systematically shaped through pre-organized multimedia learning.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) are not only centers for the transmission of religious education but also social institutions oriented towards community development. Globalization and the creative economy encourage Islamic boarding schools to develop entrepreneurship training as a relevant skill to equip their students. Several studies have shown that such training enhances creativity and character development, reduces the risk of unemployment, and provides social and economic value to the community. However, the majority of research continues to prioritize the implementation and impact of entrepreneurship training programs in pesantren. Empirical evaluation of these programs, particularly utilizing systematic evaluation models, remains underdeveloped. This study presents a comprehensive evaluation of a screen-printing training program within the Santripreneur program. These findings were obtained from a qualitative field study using the CIPP model to assess the screen printing training program at Almujahidin Marabahan. Data were collected through interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis, and then analyzed descriptively using qualitative methods and source and method triangulation. These findings indicate that institutional alignment, openness to change, supportive resources, and practice-based training processes influence the successful and effective implementation of programs. In addition to producing tangible products, this program fosters entrepreneurial skills, positive attitudes, and entrepreneurial orientation among students. Empirically, this study demonstrates how the CIPP evaluation model can be used to understand and assess the integration of entrepreneurship training in the context of pesantren, thus expanding the literature on entrepreneurship education or training programs in religious educational institutions. Furthermore, this study provides practical recommendations for administrators and policymakers on designing programs that are needs-based, adequately resourced, and practice-based.

Abstract

Leadership in the management of Islamic educational institutions plays a very important role in creating an educational system that is effective, high quality and oriented towards Islamic values. This article aims to examine the concept of leadership in the context of Islamic educational institutions, including relevant leadership models, the challenges faced, and their impact on educational management. Using a qualitative approach and literature study, this research found that leadership based on Islamic principles such as trust, justice, and deliberation can strengthen the governance of educational institutions, improve the quality of learning, and create a conducive environment for the development of student character. However, challenges such as limited human resources, funds and social change are the main obstacles that require adaptive and visionary leadership. This research concludes that good leadership in the management of Islamic educational institutions can produce quality education that is relevant to the needs of the times

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai model needs assessment yang digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guna menentukan rancangan terbaik dalam suatu perencanaan program. Needs assessment merupakan proses sistematis yang digunakan untuk menemukan kesenjangan antara kondisi aktual dengan kondisi ideal sehingga dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka melalui analisis berbagai literatur ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan model-model needs assessment, seperti model discrepancy, model analisis sistem, model partisipatif, dan model pengambilan keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap model memiliki karakteristik, kelebihan, dan keterbatasan yang berbeda sesuai dengan konteks penerapannya. Model discrepancy efektif untuk mengidentifikasi kesenjangan, model analisis sistem menekankan hubungan antar komponen, model partisipatif memperkuat keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan, sedangkan model pengambilan keputusan membantu memilih alternatif yang paling sesuai. Dengan demikian, pemilihan model needs assessment yang tepat dapat membantu perancang program dalam menghasilkan rancangan yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan nyata di lapangan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze curriculum development management based on needs assessment in Islamic educational institutions and explain the importance of implementing needs assessment in creating relevant and adaptive curricula. This study employed a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through documentation studies from various scientific journals, books, and articles relevant to the research topic. The data were analyzed using content analysis through data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that needs assessment plays an important role in identifying the needs of students, institutions, and society as the basis for curriculum development. The stages of curriculum development management include planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation, which must be carried out systematically. In addition, Islamic educational institutions face various challenges such as limited human resources, technological developments, and the need to maintain a balance between scientific knowledge and Islamic values. Therefore, curriculum development based on needs assessment is considered an effective strategy to improve the quality of Islamic education in order to remain relevant, adaptive, and grounded in Islamic values.

Abstract

The provision of relevant facilities and infrastructure is a main pillar in supporting the quality and effectiveness of the learning process in Islamic educational institutions. However, the fulfillment of facilities is often carried out without careful planning, resulting in off-target allocation and budget inefficiency. This paper aims to analyze the strategy of providing educational facilities based on the utilization of needs assessment results, and to formulate implementation steps within the context of Islamic education. The method used in this study is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach through critical analysis of various literatures on infrastructure management and educational planning. The results indicate that the systematic use of needs assessment results serves as a crucial database to minimize the gap between the actual condition of facilities and the expected ideal standards. An effective facility provision strategy must pass through the stages of identifying priority needs, drafting fulfillment action plans, allocating accountable budgets, to implementing transparent procurement. The practical implication of this study requires managers of Islamic educational institutions to substantively integrate assessment results into the Medium-Term Work Plan (RKJM) and Annual Work Plan (RKT) so that procurement of facilities can answer real academic needs and support the strengthening of the religious atmosphere of the institution in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study examines junior high school students’ perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) utilization in Islamic Education (PAI) learning. Although AI use in education has increased, empirical studies focusing on students’ perceptions at the junior high school level, particularly in the context of Islamic Education, remain limited; this study addresses that gap. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 23 ninth-grade students through a 10-item Likert-scale questionnaire covering cognitive, affective, and conative aspects, with indicators including ease of use, content alignment with Islamic sources, satisfaction and trust, motivation and active learning, and ethics and responsible use. Likert-scale results were interpreted using predefined categorical intervals ranging from “very poor” to “very good.” The findings show an overall positive perception of AI utilization in PAI learning (mean = 4.07), categorized as “good.” The highest scores were found in ease of use and ethical use, while the lowest were related to content alignment with Islamic sources. These results indicate students’ positive attitudes toward AI accompanied by critical awareness of its limitations. The study highlights AI’s role as a supportive learning tool in PAI learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze strategies for planning, managing, and distributing facilities in the implementation of needs assessment results at Islamic educational institutions. The urgency of this research is based on a managerial phenomenon where assessment reports often become merely administrative documents without actual implementation, due to the institution's lack of supporting capacity. The method used is a literature review (library research), collecting data from various systematic sources such as reference books and scientific articles. The results show that utilizing assessment results requires the provision of facilities across four main domains: physical facilities, non-physical facilities, human resources, and financial resources. These categories of facilities serve as bridges to connect the gap between the current condition and the ideal state expected in madrasahs or pesantrens. The conclusion emphasizes that the success of implementing assessment results largely depends on integrating findings into the institution's strategic plans, optimizing Islamic philanthropic funds (ZISWAF), and applying transformational leadership to overcome financial challenges and resistance to change. With proper prioritization, facility provision can sustainably improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of an Islamic education planning system based on the needs and characteristics of learners through a literature review approach. Educational planning in Islamic institutions often focuses more on administrative aspects than on understanding students’ diverse potentials, interests, and learning styles. This research aims to analyze strategies for developing adaptive educational planning in Islamic education. The study uses a literature review method by examining journals, books, and relevant academic sources. The results show that effective educational planning requires learner needs analysis, curriculum flexibility, data-based planning, integration of Islamic values, and continuous evaluation. Such a system contributes to improving learning effectiveness, student participation, and holistic educational outcomes.
