Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Work life Balance, Flexible Time Arrangement and Life Satisfaction of Indonesian Ombudsman employees. The research population used was the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, while the sample used amounted to 102 employees. The sampling technique uses random sampling in employees both at the Indonesian Ombudsman who are at the center and at the representative. Data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study show that flexibility work arrangement has a positive effect on Life satisfaction, shown by p value 0.000 < 0.05 and positive path coefficient of 0.503 meaning that the higher the flexibility work arrangement, the higher Life satisfaction. Flexibility work arrangement has a positive effect on work life balance, shown by p value 0.000 < 0.05 and positive path coefficient of 0.576 meaning that the higher the flexibility of work arrangement, the higher the work life balance. Work-life balance has a positive effect on Life satisfaction, shown by p value 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive path coefficient of 0.527 meaning that the higher the work life balance, the higher the Life satisfaction. In this study it can also be concluded that Work life balance can mediate the effect of flexibility work arrangement on Life satisfaction, indicated by p value 0.000 < 0.05, based on the value of R square adjusted variable Life satisfaction of 0.833 this means 83.3% of the variable Life satisfaction is influenced by the variables flexibility work arrangement and work life balance, while the remaining 16.7% variable Life satisfaction is influenced by factors outside the variable flexibility work arrangement and work life balance. Furthermore, the variable work life balance shows an R square adjusted of 0.325, this means that 32.5% of the variability of work life balance is influenced by the variable flexibility work arrangement, while the remaining 67.5% of the variable work life balance is influenced by factors other than the variable flexibility work arrangement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of Work Life Balance on Employee Performance, both directly and through Work Motivation as an intermediary variable. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study includes all employees in the agency studied. The sampling technique applied is a saturated sampling technique, which means all members of the population are used as respondents, with a total of 125 employees. For data analysis, this study utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), which is processed using SmartPLS software. The data analysis process involves examining the measurement model, analyzing the structural model, and testing hypotheses for both direct and indirect effects. The research findings indicate a positive and significant direct effect between (1) Work Life Balance and Employee Performance (β = 0.311; p = 0.000). However, no significant direct effect was found between (2) Work-Life Balance and Work Motivation (β=-0.044; p=0.767) and (3) Work Motivation and Employee Performance (β=0.162; p=0.210). Furthermore, the test results for the indirect effect showed that (4) Work-Life Balance did not significantly impact Employee Performance through Work Motivation (β=-0.007; p=0.787), thus Work Motivation did not function as a mediating variable.

Abstract

This community service initiative, conducted on May 20, 2025, at SMP Negeri 3 Bantul, Yogyakarta, aimed to enhance the digital teaching capacity of secondary educators through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the program focused on equipping 40 teachers with hands-on experience using Eduaide and MagicSchool platforms designed to support adaptive content creation and classroom engagement. Implemented in four stages, preparation, training, implementation, and evaluation, the workshop provided live demonstrations, guided practice, and reflective discussions. Pre- and post-tests revealed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, with average scores rising from 2.1 to 4.3 out of 5, and 85% of teachers achieving proficiency. Qualitative feedback highlighted increased confidence, enthusiasm, and readiness to apply AI in lesson planning and feedback automation. Challenges such as limited internet access and initial unfamiliarity with digital tools were mitigated through mentor support and accessible learning materials. This initiative demonstrated the effectiveness of structured, contextualized AI training in transforming pedagogical practices and recommends ongoing mentoring, peer collaboration, and scalable digital modules for sustained impact. The project illustrates that even short-term interventions can meaningfully empower educators and promote inclusive, future-ready education in under-resourced communities.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between organizational complexity in the context of management and the quality of financial reporting. Organizational complexity is analyzed through four key components: subsidiary management, segment operation management, and human resource management. The findings provide evidence that managing organizational complexity through effective governance and sound management practices supports greater accuracy, transparency, and reliability in financial reporting. Such management practices also help prevent reporting errors and fraud. Consequently, organizational complexity can significantly influence the quality of financial reporting. Drawing on insights from agency theory and information asymmetry, this paper discusses how increasing complexity may reduce reporting quality and proposes mechanisms to mitigate its adverse effects

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia are critical drivers of economic growth and employment, yet they face persistent innovation challenges that impede competitiveness. Structural, strategic, and geographical disparities across the archipelago limit SMEs’ ability to leverage external knowledge, engage in open innovation, and adopt digital transformation initiatives effectively. This study aims to diagnose key innovation barriers in Indonesian SMEs and develop a conceptual framework to guide strategic interventions. A systematic bibliographic analysis was conducted using 788 Scopus-indexed documents published between 2000 and 2025. Keyword co-occurrence, thematic mapping, and temporal overlay analyses were applied to identify the conceptual structure, thematic clusters, and evolutionary patterns in SME innovation research. The analysis highlighted seven critical challenges: limited absorptive capacity, low engagement in open innovation, misaligned business strategies, insufficient policy support, fragmented innovation networks, weak innovation culture and leadership, and ineffective benchmarking systems. Findings indicate that while foundational concepts such as performance and entrepreneurship are well-established, strategic mechanisms and digital transformation remain peripheral in both practice and literature. The study’s discussion emphasizes the need for integrated interventions across organizational, knowledge, and strategic execution levels. In conclusion, the proposed multi-level conceptual framework provides a diagnostic tool for policymakers and SME managers to identify bottlenecks, enhance innovation capacity, and strengthen regional competitiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of digital literacy and entrepreneurial orientation on the business performance of MSMEs in the food and beverage sector in South Jakarta. The variables used in this study are digital literacy as an independent variable, entrepreneurial orientation as a mediating variable (intervening), and MSME business performance as the dependent variable. The sample used in this study amounted to 114 SMEs in the food and beverage sector. The sampling method used is the proportional random sampling method, with the path analysis method. The results of this study indicate that digital literacy and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant impact on MSME business performance, as well as digital literacy mediated by entrepreneurial orientation on MSME business performance in the food and beverage sector in South Jakarta. In line with the results of this study, it is recommended that MSME business actors in the food and beverage sector in South Jakarta should further increase their insight into digital technology literacy because there are still quite a number of related MSMEs that have not mastered digital technology massively. Furhermore, it is also necessary to have an entrepreneurial orientation such as the ability to innovate, risk taking, and be aggressive in good competition in order to achieve healthy and competitive business performance.
