Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of gadget use on learning motivation through gamification among Office Management students at SMK Negeri 48 Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Office Management students at SMK Negeri 48 Jakarta and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS 4 software. The variables examined consisted of gadget use as the independent variable, gamification as the intervening variable, and learning motivation as the dependent variable. The results revealed that gadget use had a positive and significant effect on gamification, with a path coefficient of 0.785 and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Gadget use also had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation, with a path coefficient of 0.557 and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Furthermore, gamification had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation, with a path coefficient of 0.430 and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The findings also demonstrated that gamification positively and significantly mediated the effect of gadget use on learning motivation. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the effective use of gadgets supported by gamification can enhance students' learning motivation. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to optimize the use of gadgets through gamification-based learning strategies to create a more interactive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the JAKI app's JakLapor feature and Public Service Quality influence public satisfaction, with Trust serving as a mediating variable for users in East Jakarta. A quantitative method was employed, involving a survey of 255 participants selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a six-point Likert scale, and analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that the model possesses strong explanatory power, with R² values of 0.881 for Trust and 0.955 for Public Satisfaction, alongside high predictive capacity (Q² Predict values of 0.879 and 0.917, respectively). Effect size (f²) values reveal that the impact of the JakLapor feature on Trust is small (0.053), whereas Public Service Quality makes a substantial contribution to Trust (0.497). The influence of the JakLapor feature on Public Satisfaction is very small (0.010), the impact of Public Service Quality on Public Satisfaction is moderate (0.244), and the contribution of Trust to Public Satisfaction is substantial (0.802). Hypothesis testing results indicate that the JakLapor feature has a positive and significant impact on Trust (t = 2.865); Public Service Quality has a positive and significant impact on both Trust (t = 8.254) and Public Satisfaction (t = 3.973); and Trust has a positive and significant impact on Public Satisfaction (t = 6.379). Conversely, the JakLapor feature does not have a significant impact on public satisfaction (t = 1.298). Furthermore, trust was found to act as a positive and significant link between the influence of the JakLapor JAKI feature (t = 2.178) and public service quality (t = 7.747) on public satisfaction. The findings indicate that public satisfaction with the JakLapor JAKI feature is driven more by public service quality and public trust than by the direct attributes of the application feature itself.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low academic achievement of 10th-grade students at SMKN 48 Jakarta in the subject of Basic Economics, with an average score of 75.71 below the minimum passing score of 82.00 as well as the limitations of conventional and less interactive learning media. The application of the ADDIE model in the Research and Development (R&D) methodology served as the basis for this study to develop web-based learning materials using the Wix platform, while also assessing their feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the media achieved an average feasibility percentage of 92.89% (highly feasible), a practicality percentage of 90.48% in the one-to-one test and 93.71% in the small-group test (highly practical), and an N -Gain value of 0.54 (moderate), with an increase in the average score from 70 to 86.46. Thus, the Wix-based website learning media is deemed feasible, practical, and effective for supporting the learning of Basic Economics at vocational high schools.

Abstract

Digital technology transformation has changed the learning process across various levels of education. The increasing use of social media as a manifestation of technological advancement has also given rise to technostress as a new challenge, making self-regulation is expected to play a crucial role as an internal capacity in managing these effects. This research was conducted to analyze the mediating role of self-regulation in the relationship between social media overload and technostress among students at SMKN 3 Jakarta. In this quantitative survey, the sample consisted of 118 Office Management students and was selected using the proportionate random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on the Partial Least Square (PLS) method in SmartPLS 4. The findings indicate that the direct effect of social media overload on technostress was not significant (β = -0,155; p = 0,147). In addition, social media overload on self-regulation (β = -0,309; p = 0,001) and self-regulation on technostress (β = -0,619; p < 0,001) both showed significant negative direct effects. Furthermore, self-regulation was found to fully mediate the relationship between social media overload and technostress (β = 0,191; p = 0,008). These findings indicate that self-regulation transmits the effect of social media overload on technostress, suggesting that the level of self-regulation is a determining factor in technostress levels.
