Abstract

Artikel ini didasarkan pada hasilpenelitian dengan tujnan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penggunaan model discovery learning dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mengeksplorasi materi sejarah lokal tentang industri Batik Kenongo di Madiun. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sejarah industri Batik Kenongo merupakan bagian dari sejarah lokal yang harus diekplorasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah dengan menggunakan salah satu model pembelajaran yakni discovery learning. Selain untuk memperkenalkan Batik Kenongo pada siswa (khususnya di Madiun), eksplorasi juga bisa meningkatkan kecintaan mereka terhadap kebudayaan lokal. Hal ini terlihat saat ada siswa melakukan penelitian di Desa Kenongorejo, Kabupaten Madiun yang merupakan tempat industri batik tersebut. Eksplorasi sejarah industri Batik Kenongo dalam pembelajaran sejarah melalui model discovery learning mampu membangkitkan antusiasme siswa terhadap informasi kesejarahan dari Batik Kenongo. Dengan demikian maka dapat dikatakan bahwa model discovery learning mampu memberikan kesempatan yang seluas-luasnya kepada siswa untuk mengkonstruksi pemahaman sejarah mereka terhadap Sejarah Industri Batik Kenongo di Madiun.This article is based on research results with a purpose to describe how to use the model of discovery learning in process of learning to explore the local historical material about industry of Batik Kenongo in Madiun.This research used qualitative method. The results showed that the history ofBatik Kenongo industryis part of local history that should be explored in the history teaching using one of the learning models, that is Discovery Learning. In addition to introducing Batik Kenongo on students (particularly in Madiun), exploration can also increase their love of local culture. This is seen when there are students doing research in the Village Kenongorejo, Madiun district which is where thebatik industry. Exploring the history of Batik Kenongo industry in learning history through the model of discovery learning can generate students' enthusiasm for the historical Information of Batik Kenongo.Thus it can be said that the model of Discovery Learning is able to provide the widest opportunity to students to construct their historical understanding of the History of Kenongo Batik Industry in Madiun.

Abstract

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic made teachers and students study separately and resulting in low student learning enthusiasm. This study aims to create a learning media Role-Playing Game (RPG) to increase student motivation. This research is Research and Development with the Alessi & Trollip model. The population in this study amounted to 512. The sampling technique was a simple random sampling of 120 students. At the alpha test stage, the media was validated by 3 media experts and 3 material experts. After the revision was carried out in the alpha test, the media was beta tested to determine its effectiveness in increasing student learning motivation. The data collection method is quantitative, using a questionnaire instrument and quantitative data analysis using the SPSS 25 program. The results showed that the RPG media created was in the "Very Appropriate" category with an average percentage of 95%. It was concluded that learning using RPG media proved to be more effective than classes that did not use RPG or conventional media, with a score obtained from the statistical test results at a significance level of 0.000 which is less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). This study implies that teachers need to choose media suitable for learning needs to attract students' enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

AbstrakNilai-nilai kepahlawanan merupakan representasi nilai sikap yang harusnya didapati siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Konten buku paket sejarah di Sekolah belum memberikan porsi cukup guna pembahasan mengenai tokoh kepahlawanan. Kompleksitas dan monotonnya buku ajar sejarah memberi sumbangsih pada minimnya minat belajar siswa. Era digitalisasi visual setidaknya menjadi sebuah tantangan yang harus direspon demi mengembangkan konten pembelajaran yang inovatif. Konten pembelajaran sejarah merupakan salah satu ranah kognitif yang harus mampu diserap siswa secara maksimal, sehingga perlu adanya metode maupun media agar konten tersebut terserap secara maksimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan atau Research and Development dengan mengacu pada model perancangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Metode pengambilan data lapangan didapat dari hasil wawancara dan observasi pada analisis kebutuhan. Pre test dan post test digunakan untuk mendapatkan data prestasi belajar dan kesadaran sejarah siswa. Penilaian yang diberikan oleh para ahli dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar sejarah biografi pahlawan dinyatakan layak untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sejarah, dan terdapat perbedaan tingkat kesadaran sejarah antara kelas yang tidak menggunakan bahan ajar biografi pahlawan sejarah berbasis infografis dengan yang menerapkannya. Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, biografi, infografis, pahlawan AbstractHeroes values are the representation of attitude that students must acquire in learning history. The history book content in the school has not provided enough portion for the discussion about heroism. The complexity of history textbooks has an impact on students' decreased interest in learning. The era of visual digitalization is a challenge that must be responded to develop innovative learning content. Historical learning content is a cognitive domain that students must be able to receive optimally, so there is a need for methods and media to solve it. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method with reference to the ADDIE design model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Needs analysis obtained by using interview and observation methods. Pretest and posttest were used to obtain data on student achievement and historical awareness. Conclusion The assessment given by experts that the historical teaching material of the hero biography is declared deserve to be applied in historical learning, and also there are differences in the level of historical awareness between classes that do not use teaching materials based on infographic historical heroes with those who apply them.  Keywords: biography, handout, heroism, infographic

Abstract

Pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal telah menjadi fokus utama dalam pengembangan sistem pendidikan modern, terutama di tengah arus globalisasi yang semakin kuat. Di Kabupaten Ciamis, keberadaan prasasti Kawali menjadi bukti konkret bagaimana nilai-nilai sejarah dan budaya lokal dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam sistem pendidikan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan kontekstualPendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang implementasi pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal di tingkat SMA/SMK/MA. Metodologi ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengeksplorasi secara detail bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya lokal diintegrasikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran dan dampaknya terhadap keterlibatan siswa. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan korelasi positif yang signifikan antara penggunaan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran dan tingkat pemahaman siswa. Khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran sejarah, antusiasme siswa terhadap materi prasasti Kawali mencerminkan bagaimana relevansi lokal dapat menjadi katalis dalam meningkatkan engagement pembelajaran. Observasi di ruang kelas mengungkapkan bahwa ketika materi pembelajaran dikontekstualisasikan dengan kearifan lokal, siswa menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi yang lebih tinggi.Meningkatkan pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal di Kabupaten Ciamis, khususnya melalui prasasti Kawali, memiliki potensi besar untuk memberikan dampak positif terhadap motivasi dan prestasi siswa. Prasasti Kawali, yang merupakan salah satu peninggalan sejarah yang kaya akan nilai budaya, dapat menjadi sumber belajar yang inspiratif.Kata Kunci: Kearifan Lokal, Budaya, Lokal

Abstract

The research aims to explore how the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can increase students' understanding and interest in history education with a humanist approach. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which allows researchers to delve into the experiences of students and teachers in the learning process. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of documents related to the implementation of PBL in the classroom. The results show that the application of PBL not only increases students' involvement in history learning but also enriches their understanding of relevant cultural and social contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating PBL methods in history education as a way to create a more meaningful and humanist learning experience for students. The implementation of PBL in history education not only enhances humanist learning but also equips students with essential skills to face real-world challenges. However, there are various challenges faced in the implementation of PBL that must be overcome. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum and practice of teaching history in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian metode praktik baik menjadi salah satu solusi dari keterbatasan yang dihadapi guru dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas selama masa post-pandemi. Berdasarkan diskusi awal dengan MGMP, guru belum memiliki pengetahuan mengenai metode praktik baik dengan demikian diperlukan pelatihan penulisan metode tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah memperkuat kompetensi penelitian dan penulisan artikel ilmiah dalam masa pandemi dan tatap muka terbatas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan/proses pelatihan, pendampingan-evaluasi, dan refleksi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 35 guru sejarah di wilayah Kabupaten Karanganyar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru sejarah mayoritas belum memiliki pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai penelitian dan penulisan artikel praktik baik. Kegiatan pelatihan kemudian difokuskan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dasar bagi guru. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian guru memiliki pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai praktik baik. Akan tetapi, jumlah guru yang mampu menyusun draft artikel praktik baik masih belum maksimal. Hambatan bagi guru dalam penulisan artikel praktik baik terletak pada faktor administratif dan faktor kesediaan waktu. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru telah memiliki pengetahuan mengenai penelitian dan penulisan metode praktik baik tetapi diperlukan tindak lanjut dalam bentuk pendampingan secara berkesinambungan kepada guru untuk memperkuat pengetahuan yang telah dimiliki guru.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengeksplorasi hubungan antara budaya, agama, dan ekologi dalam konteks masyarakat pesisir Cilacap. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah memahami bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya dan praktik religius masyarakat pesisir berkontribusi terhadap pengelolaan lingkungan dan pelestarian ekosistem lokal. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan fokus pada studi literatur dan observasi lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui Literature review, wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat pesisir Cilacap memiliki tradisi dan kepercayaan yang kuat yang mempengaruhi cara mereka berinteraksi dengan lingkungan. Ritual-ritual keagamaan dan praktik budaya, seperti tradisi Sedekah Laut, tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana spiritual tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme untuk menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya alam. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang peran budaya dan agama dalam membentuk ekologi masyarakat pesisir, serta implikasinya terhadap kebijakan lingkungan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di wilayah tersebut. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi studi lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan antara budaya, agama, dan ekologi di komunitas pesisir lainnya.

Abstract

The development of information technology that encourages smartphones in various lives thus opens up opportunities for the use of smartphones in teaching and learning activities. However, teachers have not been able to maximize the use of smartphones to support students' ability to understand learning materials. This certainly does not provide a good learning experience for students, so it is necessary to improve the learning system. This study was conducted to identify opportunities for using smartphones to make it easier for students to learn, especially in understanding sociology learning materials in high school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were social studies students of class X SMA with a total of 149 students. Data collection methods in this study were surveys and interviews using questionnaires and interview guidelines as research instruments. Data analysis was carried out in four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study indicates that there is an excellent opportunity for the use of smartphones in the digital era in the learning process, especially in sociology in high school. The opportunity is the implementation of game-based mobile learning or Mobile Game-Based Learning (MGBL). It can be seen that the use of smartphones by students is most dominantly used to play games, with a percentage of 32.90%. Thus, Mobile Game-Based Learning (MGBL) as a learning medium is an opportunity to use smartphones to make it easier for students to learn sociology because it encourages students to be more active, creative, and innovative in the learning process. This study concludes that Mobile Game-Based Learning (MGBL) is an excellent opportunity for the use of smartphones in the digital era to make it easier for students to learn sociology in high school.

Abstract

The availability of facilities has not been able to optimize the implementation of learning. This has resulted in some students not being able to take online lessons properly; about 29.4% of students have never taken online lessons so that students miss lessons that are carried out according to schedule. This study aims to develop a website-based Learning Management System to facilitate learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is included in research and development (R&D) by adopting the Alessi & Trollip development model. The subjects of this study were, among others, two media experts, two material experts, and two subject teachers in junior high schools. The data collection technique used a test based on the product developed for each research subject using the appropriate instrument. The results of the questionnaire will be analyzed descriptively using the proportion to choose the LMS product. The results of the research data that the assessment above is 88.88% of media experts, the amount of material obtained is 91.22%, and prospective users consisting of students and teachers are 91.88%, which means that the acquisition of media and subject matter to be used is 81%, which are included in the very decent or excellent category so that there is no need for revision or improvement. Thus the learning application, namely the learning management system (LMS), can be used as a tool to support the learning process during online learning activities.

Abstract

Technology development has a significant impact on innovation in the development of museum education services, including virtual museum tours. One of the functions of the museum is as a source of virtual learning supported by visual, and audiovisual teaching materials, and interactive communication. Presenting the museum experience in the classroom online can be an alternative solution that is interesting, effective, and fun in developing learning media. The Indonesian Karst Museum is one of the treasures owned by prehistoric museums in Indonesia, especially in Central Java Province, beside the Sangiran Museum. This museum is an educational museum that presents the distribution of karst both in Indonesia and around the world. This museum displays how karst was formed, as well as the characteristics and phenomena of karst, reviewing its relationship to the evolution of human life from prehistoric times to the present. The Indonesian Karst Museum was established to preserve the existence of the Eco Karst area and the Gunung Sewu Global Geopark. Optimizing the virtual tour of the Indonesian Karst Museum as an alternative medium for learning history is expected to be an effective solution in developing a history learning medium that is easily accessible to students. This aims to introduce museums to students amidst the limitations of direct visits.
