Abstract

Abstract: The process and the scintifc result will depend on their philosophical bases, covering theoretical framework, scientifc paradigm and basic assumption. The three bases become the philosophical base that function to allot framework, direction and scientific colour  that will be produced. The Islamic wordview in the perspective of  the philospy of science basically serves as the theological-methaphisical assumntion or hard core in the scientifc field of the Islamic eduation. It is the special characteristic that makes it different from the secular education. Employing this kind of paradigm, the Islamic education will be able to identify the difference between proselytazing approach from scientific approach.Kata Kunci: pendidikan Islam, filsafat ilmu, teologis metafisis, paradigma

Abstract

Pergumulan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta dalam diskursus integrasi keilmuan, berujung pada pembangunan paradigma keilmuan yang berciri-khas, yaitu integrasi-interkoneksi. Satu dasawarsa berjalan, universitasitu telah mengembangkan tradisi akademik baru, yang ditandai denganpola pengembangan bidang penelitian dan produk-produk karya ilmiah sivitas akademikanya. Artikel ini mengungkap pengembangan keilmuan sebagaimana ditunjukkan pada karya dosen-dosennya. Dengan perspektif filsafat ilmu, kajian ini melihat implementasi paradigma UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta pada tataran pola pengembangan ilmu. Oleh karena itu, objek kajiannya adalah buku-buku karya dosen melalui metode survei kritis, satu model penelitian dengan melakukan pembacaan, memahami maksud, membandingkan dan mengindentifikasi aspek-aspek tertentu dalam kerangka pembacanya. Secara umum, karya-karya dosen bercorak memperkokoh, mengembangkan, dan mem-breakdown paradigma keilmuan yang dikembangkannya. Meski demikian, ada beberapa karya yang merupakan penerapan dari empat model aplikasi pengembangan keilmuan,yaitu komplementasi, konfirmasi, kontribusi, dan komparasi. Pola ini ternyata menempatkan al-Qur’an dan al-Sunnah pada posisi yang sejajar dengan konsep, teori, dan temuan sains padahal hingga di bangunan paradigma “spider web”-nya, kedua sumber itu berposisi sebagai “sentral keilmuan”.The involvement of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in the integration of scientific discourse, led to the development of distinctively scientific paradigm, namely integration-interconnection. A decade running, the university has developed a new academic tradition, characterized by patterns of development in the field of research and the products of scientific work of the academic community. This article reveal the scientific development as shown in the workof the lecturers. With the perspective of philosophy of science, this study sees the implementation of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta paradigm on the level of science development pattern. Therefore the object of the study is the books of lecturers through critical survey methods, a model of research by reading, understanding the purpose, comparing and identifying certain aspects in the frame of the reader. In general, the works of the lecturers is to strengthen, develop, and detailing the scientific paradigm, which he developed. However, there are some works which is the application of the four models of the application of scientific development, namely complementation, confirmations, contributions, and comparisons. This pattern turns placing al-Quran and al-Sunnah in a position parallel with the concepts, theories, and scientific findings, while in the paradigm building of “spider web”, both sources playsas “central of science”.

Abstract

It has been over a decade, in which the journey of State Islamic University (UIN) Malang in developing new scientific paradigm has appeared to be quite successful, particularly in establishing and developing an ?image? of Islamic-based sciences in their new forms. The success can be observed from, among other, people?s demand?from various segments of the society?to a number of books written by the lecturers of UIN Malang. Such tremendously remarkable achievement becomes certainly a worthy matter to observe and discuss, especially from the Philosophy of Science?s point of view concerning on how the pattern of scientific development?as a part of academic traditions?built by this Islamic higher educational institution. This article finds an important information that the development of science in UIN Malang has arrived upon the development of new theories and concepts, by placing al-Qur?ân and al-Sunnah as its main and fundamental foundations. It can be generally observed that there has been a sort of a pattern of ?Quranic justification? to the sciences developed by UIN Malang. It means that any scientific activity is intended to prove the ?scientificness? of al-Qur?ân. It has been also assumed, moreover, that al-Qur?ân is the book of science.

Abstract

Sunan Kalijaga was known as a creative da’i in spreading da'wah. One of the media for his da’wah is a literary work entitled Suluk Linglung. In the Suluk Linglung manuscript, two da’wah strategies had been employed by Sunan Kalijaga, both of which were expected to be relevant if applied in Indonesia today, considering the many issues of radicalism. This research is a literature review. Data were collected by using documentation method through a research on Suluk Linglung. Therefore, to dissect the contents of the manuscript, the author uses qualitative research methods and Gadamer's hermeneutic approach. Finally, it suggested that Sunan Kalijaga used two da'wah strategies, Sufistic da'wah strategy and multicultural da’wah strategy. It is expected that the use of the strategies in the current da’wah can dismiss the radicalism movement. Therefore, it brings out the principle of da’wah that is gentle, friendly, and nurturing to people, or da'wah rahmatan li-l 'alamin.Sunan Kalijaga dikenal sebagai seorang da’i yang kreatif dalam menyebarkan dakwah. Salah satu media dakwah beliau adalah melalui karya sastra yang berjudul Suluk Linglung. Dalam manuskrip Suluk Linglung tercermin dua strategi dakwah yang pernah dilakukan oleh Sunan Kalijaga, yang keduanya itu diharapkan akan relevan jika diterapkan di Indonesia pada zaman sekarang meninjau banyak sekali isu radikalisme. Penelitian ini berjenis kajian kepustakaan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi melalui penelitian manuskrip Suluk Linglung. Oleh karenanya, agar dapat membedah isi manuskrip Suluk Linglung, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika Gadamer.  Adapun untuk teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Akhirnya, setelah melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwasanya dalam manuskrip Suluk Linglung, Sunan Kalijaga menggunakan dua strategi dakwah yang meliputi strategi dakwah sufistik dan strategi dakwah multikultural. Jika dua strategi dakwah tersebut diterapkan pada zaman sekarang, maka diharapkan akan berimplikasi terhadap gerakan radikalisme yakni menepis gerakan radikalisme. Sehingga, akan memunculkan prinsip dakwah yang lembut, ramah, dan mengayomi kepada mad’u atau dapat disebut sebagai dakwah rahmatan li-l ‘alamin.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengembangan sains berbasis agama, ternyata bukan hanya problem keilmuan semata, tetapi sekaligus merupakan problem kemasyarakatan dan keislaman. Sehingga persoalannya bukan hanya terkait upaya menemukan basis filsafat ilmu dan dukungan metodologi, tetapi juga upaya melakukan rekonstruksi pola pikir masyarakat dan pemahaman keislaman. Artikel ini akan melihat beberapa konsep kunci keislaman, yang mestinya merupakan “tempat” yang subur bagi pengembangan sains, namun kenyataannya banyak dimengerti sebagai penghambat, kalau tidak malah sebagai penghalang, bagi tumbuh-kembangnya sains dalam Islam. Penyelesaian secara mendasar terhadap problem tersebut mendesak untuk segera diberikan, untuk menemukan kemungkinan irisan dan area negosiasi dengan sains, agar upaya besar pengembangan sains Islam dapat landing dengan landai. Abstract: Developing religion-based science was not just a scientific problem, but also a social and Islamic problem. So the problem is not only related to efforts to find a basis of philosophy of science and methodology support, but also an attempt to reconstruct the public mindset and understanding of Islam. This article will look at some of the key concepts of Islam, which must be a "place" that is fertile ground for the development of science, but in reality many understood as a resistor, if not, even as a barrier, for the growth and development of science in Islam. Completion fundamentally to this problem urgent to be given, to find the possibility of negotiation area and wedge of science, so that the great effort the development of Islamic science can be landed with ramps.

Abstract

Mukena is a well-known typical dress for Indonesian Muslim women in conducting prayers. Mukena is taken for granted as a daily routine dress that did not receive much attention from many people in a more in-depth study, so it needed to be highlighted to the field of research. This study aims to determine two sides, namely, the meaning of dress in religious social life as well as to find out the meaning of mukena for Madurese. This study uses qualitative field research method. The sources of data are obtained from interviews and literature studies confined to things that only have relevance to this research. Using purposive sampling, the informants taken in this study were Madurese Muslim women from both santri and non-santri groups. The results discovered in this study are that Madurese Muslim women interpret clothes, including; as a part of social ethics, as a cover of aurat as well as an affirmation of social identity in a community. The meaning of mukena for Madurese Muslim women includes the following; mukena as a cultural tradition, as a form of self-sacralization, and as an affirmation of identity for Muslim women.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji secara filosofis konstruksi epistemologi Filsafat Illuminasi Suhrawardi dengan mengungkap argume nnya tentang proses keilmuan. Secara lebih khusus, akan menunjuk kan kritik Suhrawardi terhadap logika Peripatetik dan kemudian mem­posisikannya dalam proses penggalian ilmu. Kemudian mengungkap tawaran Suhrawardi yang ia klaim sebagai dapat mengantar manusia mem peroleh pengetahuan yang se benarnya, dengan menemukan syarat bagi suatu pengetahuan yang valid. Pemikiran demikian sudah tentu akan menjadi model keilmuan alternatif di tengah perkembang­an keilmuan yang bercorak rasiona listik. Dengan mengungkap anasir­anasir lebih dalam, bisa jadi pengetahuan model illuminasi ini dapat sebagai alternatif bagi krisis keilmuan modern saat ini. Ada beberapa per soalan yang di bahas, antara lain kegelisahan Suhrawardi atas problem logika dan persoalan validitas pengetahuan, lalu mengurai kan metode dasar Filsafat Isyraqiyah, dan yang paling pokok membahas struktur fundamental Logika Illuminasi. Tidak lupa artikel ini juga menunjukkan konsekuensi epistemologi Suhrawardi dengan tesis Tuhan itu merupakan objek “ kenal” bukan objek “ tahu”.
