Kesadaran Intuitif Plus Cahaya Ilahiyah; Husserl di Muka Cermin Suhrawardi Mohammad Muslih

Husserl has introduced intuitive consciousness in order to see directly the complexity and reality without devise and perspective. In Western thought, Husserl’s view is considered as strange up to the present time. The basic problem of Suhrawardi is similar with Husserl, indeed validity of knowledge, in which the only authority is at the Peripatetic logic. The main characteristics of this scientific model are the truth of syllogism, proposition, concept and problem of definition. This article tries to relate between Husserl’s view on intuitionalism and Suhrawardi’s view on illumination, even still based on preliminary experiment. The unity of Husserl and Suhrawardi seems to be gigantic power. “Intuitionalism under the light of God.” Can be an alternative. On the other hand, it also may be as a solution for the ontological view on reality which nowadays tend to be materialistic and mechanical. The view of this mechanical materialistic factually raises various crises on the modern life. Ontologically, the light of Intuitionalism can be the basis of the development of thought at different aspects of life, such as ethic, esthetic, anthropology, epistemology, etc.

Pemikiran Islam Kontemporer , Antara Mode Pemikiran dan Model Pembacaan Mohammad Muslih

This paper examines mode of Islamic thought is developing today ,which was then known as Contemporary Islamic Thought, by searching the role of logic and reasoning behind the idea. Three main issues are addressed: first, the project of contemporary Islamic thought, which is a radical reading of the construction of epistemology of sciences and building of logical basic of traditions, culture and civilization, by taking the authentic (al-ashâlah) and inner structure (bunyah),so that it can be transformed to the present. Second,the mode of contemporary Islamic thought, related to attitudes toward tradition (turâts) on the one hand and attitudes towards modernity (hadâtsah) on the other. In contrast to the traditional thought that addressing modernity with a priori for conservation,are also different from modern thought that response to the tradition as something that must be eliminated for the sake of progress; Contemporary Islamic thought involved a critical reading of tradition and modernity ,before bringing them within the framework of contemporary challenges. And third,the model of contemporary readings, by indicate methodological tools of scientific work. Hermeneutics, criticism, and deconstruction are three species of readings that be able to break through the scarcity of methodological for reading complexity of culture and problems of humanity in general, which has not been available instrument for that.

The Covid-19 pandemic has hampered the process of character building and has an impact on the moral decadence of students in schools. The lack of monitoring of the competence of educators in the online system causes a decrease in the character of students. This is due to the lack of exemplary in thinking, ethics, speaking, and acting obtained by students. It is important to instill character education in students so that they have characters based on religious values such as in Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to examine the existence of Islamic boarding schools in implementing character education in the pandemic era with the object Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) for Girls 1 Mantingan Ngawi, East Java. This research is a literature study with the type of research is qualitatively, while the method is descriptive analytic. The results show that PMDG for Girls 1 is able to show its existence in implementing character education even in the pandemic era. This can be seen from the effectiveness of the dormitory system that can support face-to-face learning as an effort to internalize character education in Islamic boarding schools. This can be achieved by applying the discipline health protocol in the Pesantren environment before starting face-to-face learning. In addition, it is also supported by various Pesantren disciplines such as prohibiting students from leaving campus except in very emergency conditions and accompanied by special officers.

This article does a thorough investigation into the bases underlying the development of science. This critical investigation starts on scientism view of its objectivism and universalism, and its consequence on the resulted style and model of scientific structure. The critical investigation here is not merely on logical and sociological consequences on development of science, but also on logical mind behind those claims. In more detail, this article shows that development of science in not solely based on scientific logic and epistemology, but also on sociological-historical and anthropological bases. In addition, the recent development indicates the existence of theological basis. As the result, it advocates the view that science is human construction and then cannot be sterile from human elements and factors surrounding the process of science development such as subjectivity, various interests, ideology and beliefs of scientific community. Academically, this article contributes in showing the importance of philosophy of science studies to see critically the way of sciences viewing the reality as the object of study, and to explore its field limits.

Wacana Masyarakat Madani: Dialektika Islam dengan Problem Kebangsaan Mohammad Muslih

This article contributes to the analysis of the “madani society” discourse and its development in Indonesia as a form of a struggle and dialectic of intellectual Muslim to interpret Islamic teachings in its relationship to modern life, especially to politics and nationality problems. The Islamic basic concept about the democratic principles such as justice, equality, freedom and deliberation, including the attitudes of tolerance and recognition of human rights actually had been developed well over the Apostles and the Khilafat ‘al-Rashidin political and social life. This Islamic political concept is tried to be reconstructed back by Muslim intellectuals with the idea of madani community. The presence of this discourse in Indonesia seems externally to be affected by the discourse of civil society that had been becoming a global currents of thought since the 1990s, and internally cannot be separated from the condition of the nation at that time, especially the unavailability of public space, besides as the impact of the model static approach developed in the New Order political reality.

Penerapan metodologi yang digunakan dalam paradigma positivisme kepada ranah ilmu sosial menjadikan problem tersendiri. Karena metodologi yang digunakan sebagai alat mengukur ilmu-ilmu alam diterapkan pula kepada ilmu-ilmu sosial. Hal ini tentu saja bertolak-belakang dengan karakteristik manusia sebagai subjek dari ilmu sosial. Dampaknya adalah hilangnya subjektifitas dalam penerapan penelitian terhadap ilmu sosial. Dari sini kemudian muncullah beberapa tawaran baru mengenai metodologi penelitian ilmu sosial seperti fenomenologi dan hermeneutika. Tujuan dibuatnya makalah ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengembangan ilmu sosial yang dilakukan melalui model fenomenologi dan hermeneutika, yang pada prinsipnya mengembalikan peran subjek dalam ilmu sosial yaitu manusia. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan fenomenologi dan hermeneutika berikut beberapa tokohnya. Agar data yang diperoleh tersebut dapat diungkap secara jelas, karenanya peneliti menggunakan metode analisa isi teks yang menginterpretasikan tema-tema yang dibahas dalam buku-buku yang menjelaskan fenomenologi dan hermeneutika tersebut. Dan setelah dilakukannya penelitian, peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwa ada kesinambungan alur perkembangan ilmu sosial mulai fenomenologi Husserl, hermeneutika klasik Schleiermacher, Dilthey hingga Gadamer. Dan tentunya mengembalikan manusia sebagai objek penelitian. Karena bagaimanapun ketika berbicara mengenai ilmu sosial tentunya tidak dapat lepas dari manusia sebagai aktor utamanya. Sehingga, peneliti sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa dari fenomenologi hingga hermeneutika, merupakan estafet alur pengembangan ilmu sosial yang pada akhirnya akan memunculkan produktivitas ilmu-ilmu sosial yang baru.

This study aims to explore the reputation, transparency, trust, waqif perception of nadzir’s professionalism, and the intention to pay waqf in Gontor Institution. This study based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) which examines the effect of reputation, transparency, trust toward waqif perception of Nadzir’s professionalism and intention to pay waqf. The approach this study is a quantitative approach with structural equation modeling-partial least square (SEM-PLS) measurements. The number of respondents 200 alumni of the Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. The findings in this study indicate that reputation, transparency, trust have a significant positive effect on the intention to pay waqf at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor with the waqif’s perception of nadzir’s professionalism as mediating effect. Other findings indicate that trust as moderating effect between reputation and waqif perception of nadzir’s professional.

Pembahasan mengenai hadis terus dilakukan oleh para ulama, dari mulai generasi mutaqaddimîn, mutaakhirîn sampai pada generasi kontemporer (hadîtsiyyah) pada masa sekarang.kajian mereka mengenai hadis tidak pernah lepas dari dua hal; dirâyah dan riwâyah. Kajian mengenai hadis dari sisi dirayah adalah kajian tentang asal-usul tentang kenapa dan bagaimana hadis tersebut muncul. maka jelas bahwa tujuan kritik hadis –baik matan ataupun sanad- yang dilakukan oleh para ulama terdahulu adalah untuk menjaga validitas hadis itu sendiri dari unsur-unsur lain yang bukan hadis. Sehingga muncul istilah-istilah seperti hadis sahih, hadis dhaif, hadis hasan dan hadis maudhu. Dalam artian, ada hadis yang benar-benar hadis dan dapat dipertanggung jawabkan secara ilmiah, bahkan ada juga hadis yang sebenarnya tidak bisa disebut hadis (psudou-hadis, maudhu’). Pengkategorian seperti itu adalah hasil dari kritik hadis yang dilakukan oleh para ulama sepanjang lintasan sejarah. Makalah ini menghasilkan setidaknya kita bisa menyimpulkan bahwa sasaran kritik mereka tertuju pada sumber, sanad, matan dan hadis-hadis yang ahad. Tentu kritikan tersebut tidak serta-merta dapat diterima dan dipertanggung jawabkan secara ilmiah, mengingat ada beberapa problem yang harus diluruskan ketika kegiatan kritik hadis dalam perspektif sekuler dilakukan. Dalam konteks ini, kritik tersebut dilakukan oleh orientalis dan para pengikutnya sebagaimana yang telah dijelaskan
