Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Universitas Pamulang adalah membuat gerakan kepedulian terhadap masyarakat. Mitra kegiatan PKM yaitu masyarakat kelurahan Benda Baru di RT 03 RW 09 yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk sosialisasi potensi sampah sebagai sumber daya serta pembagian paket sembako kepada masyarakat kecil dan pekerja informal seperti driver ojek online, pelaku UMKM, hingga tunawisma di sekitaran wilayah RT 03 RW 09 Kelurahan Benda Baru Kecamatan Pamulang Kota Tangerang Selatan. Persoalan yang dihadapi adalah Pengelola sampah kota cenderung kurang memberikan perhatian yang serius pada TPA tersebut, sehingga muncullah kasus-kasus kegagalan TPA. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas maka Tim PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) Dosen Universitas Pamulang telah bekerjasama dengan Aksa Sahwahita Anodya Foundation dan kader posyandu setempat membuat gerakan kepedulian terhadap masyarakat kelurahan Benda Baru di RT 03 RW 09 yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk sosialisasi potensi sampah sebagai sumber daya. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui dua tahap yaitu pra kegiatan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Secara umum kegiatan PKM dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan kondusif walau di tengah pandemi covid 19, Kegiatan PKM ini mendapat sambutan dan dukungan positif dan dari masyarakat Rt 03 Rw 09 Kelurahan Pondok Benda, dari segi tempat, sarana prasarana dan akomodasi, serta antusiasme para peserta.

Abstract

Muscle overuse during exercise increases the risk of muscle injury. L-citrulline, one of the ergogenic substances highly found in watermelon, is frequently used to reduce muscle soreness. This study aimed to compare the effects of pure L-citrulline and watermelon juice in reducing delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and muscle damage using uric acid as a marker for inflammation. A single-blind controlled trial was employed among 33 participants selected with a purposive sampling method. The participants were given either a mineral water drink containing 1.2 g of L-citrulline supplementation, 750 ml of watermelon juice, or a bottle of mineral water as a placebo administered 2-h before exercise. A multiple-sprint with a deceleration phase was used to induce DOMS. There was a significant decrease of DOMS 12 h and 24 h post-exercise with watermelon juice and pure L-citrulline (p=0.001). However, there was no significant difference in effectiveness between both forms of supplementation (p = 0.748). There were no significant changes in uric acid levels post-exercise with both forms of supplementation. Both watermelon juice and pure L-citrulline show similar effectiveness in improving subjective feelings of DOMS but fail to provide evidence of their ability to reduce muscle inflammation significantly via the reduction of uric acid levels.

Abstract

This study aims to develop educational play equipment (APE) made from recycled materials as a learning medium that can support the language development of early childhood at Pembina 2 Pekanbaru State Kindergarten. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. The resulting product is a learning medium made from recycled materials designed to stimulate children's language skills. The results of the study indicate that this learning medium is considered feasible and practical for use by experts, teachers, and students. These findings confirm that the recycled material-based media developed is effective in supporting the improvement of early childhood language skills while instilling the values ​​of creativity and environmental awareness

Abstract

Coping learning is critical for fostering children's ability to cope with their problems. This study explored the issues and requirements for creating a training model for coping learning in kindergartens in Yogyakarta. Following Borg and Gall's exploration stage of the research and development approach, this research analyzed four (4) principals' and five (5) educators' input. During the exploration stage, data on coping learning was collected through observations and interviews. Interactive analysis was employed as the data analysis technique.  The findings revealed some issues, specifically: 1) educators lack the necessary knowledge and skills to implement coping learning effectively, 2) the lack of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for coping learning resulted in a haphazard approach to its implementation, 3) educators have limited knowledge and ability to manage children's emotional and behavioral problems, 4)  insufficient coping-based learning resources, and 5) certain parenting practices prevent children from developing coping skills. The needs assessment results will then be used to create a training model, which will then be submitted for expert judgment and field testing to determine its effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan perilaku peduli lingkungan pada anak usia dini di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), dengan fokus pada identifikasi kesadaran guru dan implementasi praktik ramah lingkungan di PAUD. Metode survei kuantitatif dengan instrumen kuesioner tertutup, dimana data dikumpulkan dari 109 guru PAUD di lima kabupaten/kota, dan dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 92,7% guru menyadari urgensi penanaman perilaku peduli lingkungan, namun pada implementasinya terkendala oleh keterbatasan pemahaman anak (35,8%), dan kurangnya dukungan orang tua (24,8%). Sebanyak 82,6% guru menilai pendekatan learning by doing (membuang sampah pada tempatnya, berkebun, dan recycle). Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pengembangan program pelatihan guru, media pembelajaran kontekstual, dan panduan kegiatan yang mendukung internalisasi nilai lingkungan pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memperkaya literasi tentang strategi implementasi pendidikan lingkungan di PAUD sebagai upaya tindak lanjut.

Abstract

Tumbuhan kelakai banyak ditemukan di Kalimantan dan biasanya dikonsumsi dengan cara di tumis dan direbus. Kelakai mengandung bioaktif yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan dan dapat meningkatkan sistem imun tubuh Secara teoritis, artikel ini memberikan informasi bahwa kelakai memiliki manfaat kesehatan seperti antihiperlipidemia, penurunan kadar glukosa darah, dan pencegahan kanker payudara. Secara praktis, artikel ini membuka peluang penggunaan kelakai dalam penatalaksanaan diabetes, antihiperlipidemia, dan pencegahan kanker payudara pada manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan informasi komprehensif tentang kelakai yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan mengeksplorasi zat bioaktif yang terkandung dalam kelakai yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut secara in vivo seperti diabetes, bisa digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi aplikasi klinis seperti senyawa atau zat bioaktif yang terkandung dalam kelakai dapat dimanfaatkan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut secara in vivo seperti diabetes, antikanker. Scoping review yang dimulai dengan Pedoman Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Informasi diperoleh melalui basis data elektronik PubMed, Google Scholar, dan Science Direct dari tahun 2019 - 2024. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sintesis unsur deskriptif dan naratif dari 13 artikel didapatkan tujuh artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Informasi dari berbagai artikel menunjukkan bahwa perlunya antioksidan eksternal untuk tubuh, yang dapat berasal dari tanaman atau vitamin. Salah satu tanaman yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan adalah kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris (Burm.) Bedd). Kelakai mengandung flavonoid, alkaloid, dan tanin yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dalam menghambat radikal bebas. Kajian scoping ini mengonfirmasi adanya aktivitas antioksidan pada tanaman kelakai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kemantren Gedongtengen Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif metode ex post facto. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 5-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu: analisis outer model, analisis inner model, dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemandirian anak yaitu nilai t-statistik 8,882 > 1,96 dan p-value = 0,000 < 0,05 artinya adalah pola asuh orang tua memengaruhi kemandirian anak.

Abstract

Kesulitan dan tantangan dialami anak setiap hari sehingga anak memerlukan keterampilan koping. Berbagai model pembelajaran diterapkan untuk melatihkan koping pada anak termasuk Model Pembelajaran Keterampilan Koping untuk Anak (MPK2A). MPK2A memiliki kelebihan karena melibatkan guru, orang tua, dan anak secara sinergi dan berkesinambungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas MPK2A untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola emosi negatif anak usia 4-6 tahun. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen one-group pre-test-post-test design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 21 anak yang berusia 4-6 tahun dengan keterampilan koping yang rendah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala keterampilan koping dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MPK2A efektif untuk mengelola emosi negatif anak usia 4-6 tahun. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan skor keterampilan koping positif pada pre-test dan post-test secara signifikan. Selain itu, hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks menunjukkan nilai (Sig.) 0,000<0,05, sehingga perlakuan dinyatakan efektif. Child coping skills learning model (MPK2A) to improve the ability to manage negative emotions for childrenDifficulties and challenges are experienced by children every day, so children need coping skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of MPK2A in improving the ability to manage negative emotions in children aged 4-6 years. This research is a pre-experimental one-group pre-test-post-test design with 21 children aged 4-6 years old with low coping skills. Collecting data using a scale of coping skills and analyzing quantitatively. The results showed that MPK2A effectively manages negative emotions in children aged 4-6. A significant increase in positive coping skills scores on the pre-test and post-test indicates this. In addition, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test results showed a value of (Sig.) 0.000 <0.05, so the treatment was declared effective

Abstract

Mastery motivation is an internal drive to master challenging tasks and achieve competence. In the context of early childhood teachers in Indonesia, studies on this topic remain limited. This research aims to explore the level of mastery motivation among kindergarten teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and identify the factors that influence it. A qualitative, exploratory approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis with 15 teachers representing the five districts in Yogyakarta. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify patterns of meaning and characteristics of mastery motivation. The findings reveal three levels of mastery motivation high, moderate, and low with most teachers falling within the moderate to high categories. Teachers with high motivation demonstrated strong learning orientation, persistence, and innovative behaviors in improving teaching practices. Meanwhile, moderate motivation tended to fluctuate, influenced by administrative burdens, limited time, and work demands. These findings highlight that mastery motivation is multidimensional and shaped by individual, social, and institutional factors. This study is expected to broaden understanding of professional motivation among early childhood teachers, provide empirical foundations for educational policies and sustainable teacher competency development programs, and open opportunities for further, more in-depth research

Abstract

The Leading Teacher Program is a program to enable teachers to manage learning independently, reflectively, collaboratively, innovatively, and in a student-centered manner. However, in reality, many teachers have not received training in creative and innovative learning management. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Leading Teacher Program on the pedagogical and professional competence of Kindergarten teachers in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. The study used a quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were 74 Kindergarten leading teachers in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. During the training, teachers were actively involved in discussions and completed assigned tasks. The instruments used to collect data were the Leading Teacher Program Questionnaire, the Pedagogical Competence Questionnaire, and the Professional Competence Questionnaire, which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) there was a positive and significant influence of the leading teacher program on teachers' pedagogical competence, with a contribution of 68.2%. (2) There was a positive and significant influence of the leading teacher program on teachers' pedagogical competence, with a contribution of 62%. The research concludes that the better the implementation of the teacher-in-charge program, the better the pedagogical and professional competencies of kindergarten teachers. Teachers are able to understand the objectives of curriculum development, creatively process learning materials, routinely reflect on their performance, and continuously learn and develop themselves in line with technological developments.
