Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine how company size, profitability, leverage, and liquidity affect the value of mining subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2021–2022. IBM SPSS Statistics 23 was used to test the data in this quantitative research design. Using purposive sampling techniques, the research sample consisted of 27 companies that met the main criteria of being listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021–2022. Multiple linear regression, classical assumption testing, descriptive statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing are the analytical techniques used. Research findings show that in mining subsector manufacturing companies in 2021–2022, profitability, leverage, liquidity, and company size have a considerable positive influence on company value.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools often faces challenges in improving students' conceptual understanding, especially in fractions. A fifth-grade teacher at Sd Negeri 61 Banda Aceh City, Mrs. N, said in an interview session that during the teaching and learning process in the classroom, teachers still tend to use lecture methods as is generally used so that the teaching and learning process in the classroom is conventional and lacks creativity during learning, students are unable to implement it into real life. The Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach provides a solution by connecting mathematical concepts with real-life contexts, making it easier for students to understand and apply fraction concepts more meaningfully. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the RME model in fraction learning and its effect on elementary school students' conceptual understanding. The research method used is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of fifth-grade elementary school students who were divided into an experimental group (with RME) and a control group (with conventional methods). The research instruments included conceptual understanding tests, observations, and interviews to obtain quantitative and qualitative data. The results showed that students who learned with the RME approach experienced a more significant increase in conceptual understanding compared to students who learned using conventional methods. RME-based learning can help students construct fraction concepts through exploration of contextual situations, group discussions, and reflection on problem-solving strategies. Therefore, using this approach can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of fraction learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Project Based Learning (PJBL)-based teaching media to improve fourth-grade elementary students’ learning outcomes and examine their responses in thematic learning. The study was motivated by low student achievement and limited use of engaging, student-centered media. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving fourth-grade students at a public elementary school in Napai, Meulaboh, West Aceh. The developed teaching media included project-based student worksheets (LKPD), contextual learning videos, and group project guides, all validated by experts. The findings revealed that PJBL-based media created an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Students were fully engaged in stages such as identifying problems, designing, implementing, and presenting projects. Their responses were highly positive—they felt more interested, found the material easier to understand, and gained confidence in collaboration and problem-solving. Teachers noted improved classroom management and learning variety. Although requiring extra time and preparation, PJBL significantly enhanced student motivation and outcomes across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In conclusion, PJBL-based media effectively improved learning quality and outcomes, fostering active, independent, and meaningful learning experiences.
