The research subjects were students who were active and enrolled in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year with a total of 19 students. The data collection technique used observation and concept comprehension ability tests to collect the required data and as a benchmark for students' ability to write exposition texts based on minimum completeness criteria. Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in conceptual understanding from cycle I to cycle II, with the proportion of completeness 58 with an average of 72 in cycle I, to 89 with an average of 84 in cycle II, as well as the application of the Problem Based Learning model can increase students' understanding in write expository text.

The tradition of treating diseases of the Kaili tribe, commonly called balia, is a traditional treatment that is believed to cure diseases brought by spirits. This study is expected to reveal the values contained in the balia tampilangi custom through hermeneutic studies. Hermeneutics is one of the approaches used to analyze a text. Currently, hermeneutics is widely used in text studies in almost all scientific fields. In this study, the hermeneutic model of Richard E Palmer (2016) is used to interpret the representation of values contained in traditional Kaili medicine. This research focused on analyzing the values contained in the Balia tampilangi ritual. The purpose of this research is to describe the form of value, meaning of value and function in the Kaili ethnic balia tampilangi ritual. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research form. The research data sources consist of interviews with sando, recordings, literature studies, field recordings and documentation. Abstract

Jogging is a form of trotting or running at a slow or leisurely pace. So far, the measurement of running distance is determined by wearables Global Positioning System (GPS) and pedometers. The use of wearables with GPS commonly used by joggers cannot be used in indoor conditions. In addition, the use of a pedometer for measuring the number of steps cannot calculate the specific distance due to the inconsistency of human footsteps. This study aims to design a device to measure the distance traveled in jogging. To measure the distance traveled in a run, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor can be used with a linear acceleration output then reduce the measurement noise by using a Kalman Filter. The acceleration signal is processed into a velocity signal and the velocity signal is processed into a distance signal through integration. From the results of the prototype design, it is able to measure a distance of 25m with an error of 0.78%, a distance of 50m with 0.53% and a distance of 75m with 0.22%.

Abstract

This intertextual analysis of the mantras in the Nosaviraka healing ritual does not intend to compare the contents of the Quran and Hadits with the oral text of the mantras because the Quran is a sacred divine word without the intervention of creatures. The study aims to describe the relationship between Nosaviraka healing ritual, the Kaili tribe in Central Sulawesi and the the Quran and Hadits. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with an intertextual approach.  The data source for this research is Nosaviraka healing ritual. The data in the form of the arrays in the mantras were analyzed using the intertextual theory, namely determining the link between the arrays of the mantras and the Quran and Hadits. Based on the research results obtained three findings. First, here is a relationship between the text of the Nosaviraka mantra and the text of the Quran and Hadits. This relationship is shown in all parts of the mantra, namely (a) the initial mantra of agreement, (b) the mantra of summoning ancestors, (c) the mantra of healing, (d) the mantra of salvation, and (e) the mantra of the end. Second, the Nosaviraka ritual mantra as a hypogram, while the text of the Quran and Hadits as the owner of the transformation. Directly or indirectly, the Nosaviraka mantra, the Quran, and the Hadits can be seen from the similarity in structure, but the use of imagination is slightly different in theme. Third, there is a strong tendency that the Nosaviraka mantra is a form of belief in Allah SWT which is associated with the Quran as its hypogram.
