Abstract

This study entitled Analysis of Physics Learning Outcomes through Learning Using Hypermedia for Students of SMAN 9 Makassar is a survey research conducted to measure physics learning outcomes and learning completeness of class XI MIA students at SMAN 9 Makassar through learning using hypermedia in the 2021/2022 school year. The variable in this study is the results of students' physics learning. The research subjects were students of class XI MIA III, XI MIA V and XI MIA VI at SMAN 9 Makassar, totaling 76 people who had attended learning using hypermedia. The research data obtained by giving tests in the form of learning outcomes instruments. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis technique. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of physics through learning using hypermedia are in the sufficient category with an average score of 9 with a classical learning completeness percentage of 6.58%, this is because in the learning process there is a reduction in study time due to the impact of the covid 19 outbreak, the lack of student activity in participating in learning using hypermedia and the lack of availability of tools that can access hypermedia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitiaan kuaitatif jenis fenomenografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami persepsi setiap individu dalam menggambarkan fenomena disekitarnya untuk mengetahui kesiapan peserta didik dalam mnggunakan metode pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada pelajaran fisika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII SMAN 22 Bone yang berjumlah 5 orang yang kemudian akan dipilih siswa kelas XII yang memiliki nilai fisika tertinggi untuk menjadi subjek penelitian ini. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian masalah pemicu dalam bentuk pengamatan objek kearifan lokal untuk mengetahui kesiapan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing kemudian melakukan wawancara kepada setiap subjek penelitian yang diajukan secara lisan dan dijelaskan sedetail mungkin. instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar angket. Data yang diuji keabsahannya kemudian dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedsiapan peserta didik SMAN 22 Bone untuk berinkuiri tahap observasi dapat dikatakan siap dan telah memenuhi salah satu indikator kesiapan berinkuiri tahap observasi yaitu menggunakan alat dan bahan untuk mengamati objek dengan detail.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research & Development (R&D) bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan melalui tahap Penelitian dan Pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Adapun persentase hasil menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan media dari isi maupun kegrafikan media berdasarkan penilaian validator dengan nilai koefisien internal yaitu  1 atau 100%, untuk  tingkat kepraktisan dari media berdasarkan setiap aspek peniliaian angket respon peserta didik memiliki nilai skala persentase skor 84%-93% dan penilaian angket respon guru memiliki nilai sklala persentase skor 93%-100%, untuk tingkat keefektifan dari media berdasarkan persentase skor    N-Gain peserta didik yaitu 74%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif pada materi efek doppler yang dikembangkan sudah valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran fisika

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research that aims to examine whether there is an influence of project-based learning and learning interest on science learning outcomes in grade IX students at SMPN 2 Sengkang in Wajo Regency. The independent variables in this study were project-based learning and problem-based learning. The moderator variable was the learning interest in, while the dependent variable was the science learning outcomes on Electricity and Magnetism subject. The population of the study were all 3 classes of grade IX students at SMPN 2 Sengkang in Wajo Regency. The sample was grade IX.4 as the control class with 32 students, grade IX.3 as the experimental class with 32 students, and as a trial class was grade IX.3 with 32 students. The research data was obtained by giving a test of learning outcomes on Electricity and Magnetism subject in the form of a post test. The data analysis technique employed covariate analysis (Anacova). Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, P = 0.004 is smaller than = 0.05. It can be concluded that the application of project - based learning has a significant influence on science learning outcomes of grade IX students at SMPN 2 Sengkang in Wajo Regency on lectricity and Magnetism.

Abstract

This study investigates physical properties parameters of the soil in landslide prone areas in West Battang Village, Palopo City. This study aimed was to determine the grain size of the soil, the value of soil permeability, and the distribution characteristics of the soil in landslide-prone areas. The 30 samples were taken randomly at a depth of 30 cm, then tested the soil grain size, permeability, and the samples distribution. The results showed that the grain size of the soil consisted of gravel, coarse sand, medium sand, and fine sand, with a size of approximately 0.075 – 4.75 mm. The soils in West Battang Village are dominated by sandy soil. The grains soil in the West Battang Village is dominated by coarse sand. The physical characteristics of the soil grains in this area are classified as poorly graded due to incomplete grain size with soil permeability values in the range of 0.5 – 2.0 cm/hour which can absorb water in category of moderately slow. These permeability values can be categorized as a moderately slow and can stimulate landslides due to gradually accumulation of water in the soils.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan pembuatan game edukasi berbasis powerpoint bagi guru SMA Negeri 2 Campalagian. Manfaat yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) guru memiliki pengetahuan tentang media powerpoint, 2) guru memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat game edukasi yang dapat dibuat menggunakan powerpoint. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Campalagian dengan peserta sebanyak 20 guru. Hasil kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan semua guru mampu mengoperasikan dan emmanfaatkan powerpoint sebagai media untuk membuat game edukasi.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the objective of assessing the effectiveness of utilizing PhET media in order to increase the comprehension of physics concepts among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. This research design was a true experiment, specifically a pretest-posttest control group design. The population comprised all students of XI Science at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar with the total of three classes. The sampling method utilized was random sampling, and the process of collecting data entailed a test. The test consisted of a pretest conducted before the learning phase and a posttest administered after the completion of the learning activities. The indicators for assessing the comprehension of the concepts were based on Bloom's Taxonomy, specifically Translation, Interpretation, and Extrapolation. The comprehensive analysis of the data revealed that the students' comprehension of physics concepts was increased more effectively through the utilization of PhET simulation media. These findings suggest a significant positive effect of incorporating PhET simulation media in physics learning on student outcomes. The N gain score indicates an increase in students' comprehension of the material, demonstrating an increased ability to apply physics concepts following the implementation of PhET simulation media in the learning process. The implementation of PhET simulations in physics education yields positive impact in terms of increasing comprehension of physics concepts. Additionally, the utilization of PhET simulations facilitates the attainment of educational objectives by both teachers and students. Moreover, PhET simulations have the potential to streamline the learning process in classes that previously necessitated an abundance of materials and instruments for experimentation. In other terms, PhET serves as an effective learning medium.

Abstract

The impact of climate change has emerged as a strategic issue threatening the national interests and environment, particularly in the context of Tana Toraja in the tropical region of Indonesia. The process of climate change, influenced by both natural factors and human activities, has led to a global increase in temperatures and climate anomalies. The risks of natural disasters, especially those related to rainfall such as floods, landslides, and the spread of diseases, are on the rise. The Indonesian government needs to design region development strategies with low greenhouse gas emissions and control deforestation. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method and utilizes data from the Pongtiku Toraja Meteorological Station from 2000 to 2019 to analyze the patterns of climate change and the impact of the El-Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in Tana Toraja. The research findings indicate a decrease in the annual average air temperature, an increase in air humidity, and a shift in rainfall patterns towards an equatorial climate type. The impact of ENSO on air temperature, humidity, and rainfall is variable. Predictions suggest a decrease in rainfall, but combined analyses show an average increase of 4.5% per year until 2029. This conclusion provides a holistic overview of climate dynamics in Tana Toraja, crucial for understanding and planning adaptation for the future.

Abstract

Research has been conducted to map flood-prone zones in North Luwu Regency by considering rainfall parameters, soil type, slope, land use, geology, drainage density, road density distance and elevation. The method used in this research is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method integrated with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The purpose of this research is to determine how much each parameter contributes to flood risk and visualize the results in the form of flood-prone maps. The results in this study show that rainfall has the biggest cause of flood risk at 0.30, followed by slope 0.20, land use 0.13, elevation at 0.12, drainage density 0.09, geology 0.07, soil type 0.05, and distance between roads at 0.04. All parameters that have been analyzed, then weighted overlay into a flood-prone map. The mapping results show that North Luwu Regency has a moderate level of flood risk, with an area coverage of 3.813 km2 or 50,78% of the total area. As for the vulnerable level category, it covers an area of 17,48 km2 or 23,28%, and for the moderately vulnerable zone level category it covers an area of 1.939 km2 or 25,82% of the total area.
