Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, which aims to describe the ability of junior high school students to solve physics problems in various forms of problem representation. The subjects in this study were the IX grade junior high school students in six Palu city schools. Respondents for interviews in the study amounted to 4 people for each form of problem representation, with the criteria of students who answered right, students who answered ± 50% correct, students who answered incorrectly, and who did not answer. The instrument used was a test of problem solving skills and interviews. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively including data reduction, presenting data and verification while descriptive analysis was performed by calculating the total score, calculating the percentage and categorizing problem solving abilities. The results obtained by the average ability of junior high school students to solve physics problems in various forms of problem representation 21.86% (less category), with the percentage of each form of representation ie verbal representation 36.09% (less category), image/picture representation 23.78% (less category), diagram representation 19.47% (poor category) and graphic representation 8.10% (poor category).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran giuded discovery terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Palu. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan nonrandomized control group pretest-post tes design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA MAN 1 Palu. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah teknik simple random sampling. Kelas XI MIA 3 (n=28) dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 (n=28) dipilih sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda berjumlah 29 soal yang tervalidasi. Setiap unit soal mengukur beberapa indikator yang terfokus pada hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menggunakan uji statistik menngunakan uji-t dua pihak pada taraf nyata dan dk = 0,05, diperoleh nilai thitung berada pada interval penolakan H0 sehingga H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil uji yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran giuded discovery terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Palu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran generatif berbasis hands-on activity pada materi fluida dinamis terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Kelas XI IPA 1 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 27 orang dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 27 orang dipilih sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis berbentuk uraian berjumlah 8 soal yang telah divalidasi. Setiap unit soal mengukur satu indicator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu fokus pada pertanyaan, menganalisis argumen, menilai kredibilitas sumber, membuat kesimpulan secara deduktif, membuat kesimpulan secara induktif, menilai definisi, mendefinisikan asumsi, dan mengambil keputusan dalam tindakan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menggunakan uji statistik, diperoleh rerata skor posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,09 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 15,34 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 69,00 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 15,65. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik statistik uji-t dua pihak untuk menguji perbedaan rerata skor kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai . Nilai pada taraf nyata dan . Hal ini berarti, nilai berada pada interval penolakan sehingga diterima. Secara kuantitaif juga dilakukan uji N-gain dan diperoleh hasilnya untuk kelas eksperimen , dan untuk kelas kontrol . Hasil uji ini mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran generatif berbasis hands-on activity lebih unggul daripada model pembelajaran generatif. Berdasarkan hasil uji yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran generatif berbasis hands-on activity pada materi fluida dinamis terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine (1) the effect of critical thinking skills on physics learning achievement, (2) the effect of the ability to think logically on physics learning achievement, (3) whether there is an influence shared between the critical thinking skills and logical thinking ability of students to the student physics achievement. This research is ex post facto. The study population was all students of class XII IPA SMA N 2 Palu that involved 292 students academic year 2016-2017. The samples in this study were students of XII Science class, 106 students were taken by purposive sampling in total which has four classes based on certain considerations. The data collection technique is using the test method for data critical thinking skills and logical thinking ability, and for students' physics learning achievement data. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are: (i) there was a significant influence on the critical thinking skills to student physics learning achievement (R = 0.618> 0.196 at a significance level of 5%), (ii) there was a significant effect on the logical thinking ability to student physics learning achievement (R = 0.671> 0.195 at level significance 5%), (iii) there was a mutual influence between critical thinking skills and logical thinking ability to students physics learning achievement (R = 0.756, at the 5% significance level).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of ASSURE learning model on student learning outcomes in temperature and heat material of class XI SMA. The method used is quasi-experimental with equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all students of class XI SMA . Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with the sample of the study being class XI Mipa 2 as the experimental class and class X1 Mipa 5 as the control class. The research instrument in the form of learning outcomes tests and observation sheets that have been validated by the validator and field tested. Data analysis used inferential statistics is normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing (2-party t test). Based on the results of research and analysis of research data, obtained the value of student learning outcomes at posttest average value of the experimental class is 14.90 with a standard deviation of 3.23 and for the control class of 11.57 with a standard deviation of 2.99. The test results of the t test statistic of 2 parties from hypothesis testing obtained the price thitung(4,11)>ttabel(1,67) or thitung(-4,11)>ttabel(-1,67) so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This result states that there are differences in student learning outcomes in physics subjects between classes taught with the ASSURE learning model and Direct Intruction learning models. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the ASSURE learning model on student learning outcomes in temperature and heat material in class XI of SMA. Abstract

The research objective was to determine whether or not there is an effect of discovery learning model with multiple representations on physics learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 4 Palu students on straight motion material. To find out the students' initial ability in the experimental class and the control class in the straight motion material, a preliminary test was held. After that, the experimental class was treated using a discovery learning model with multiple representations and the control class using a discovery learning model. After learning is complete, the two classes are again given the final test to test the results. Based on the results of the two classes, the final test showed that the experimental class average was 17.93 with a standard deviation of 2.68 and the control class was 16.70 with a standard deviation of 2.53. From the results of the analysis of the final test data, the ttable value is 1.67 and the tcount is 2.05 at the real level α = 0.05 and dk = 68.This shows that the tcount value is outside the receiving area of ​​Ho, thus Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. . These results indicate that there are differences in learning outcomes between the class that is applied the discovery learning model with the multi-representation model and the class that is applied the discovery learning model. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of discovery learning model with multiple representations on physics learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 4 Palu on Straight Motion Material.

Abstract

Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada pokok bahasan kalor di SMP Negeri 2 Pamona Timur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan desain “Equivalen Pretest- Postest Grup Design”. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrument yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar fisika dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh rerata skor tes akhir adalah 8,54 dengan standar devisiasi 2,69. Untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh rerata skor 5,33 dengan standar devisiasi 2,57. Hasil  pengujian hipotesis diperoleh niai       = 4,22 dan       = 2,02. Ini berarti bahwa nilai       berada diluar      daerah penerimaan. Hasil ini memberi peluang untuk menyatakan terdapat perbedaan hasi; belajar fisika antara kelas control dan kelas eksperimen. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada pokok bahasan kalor di SMP Negeri 2 Pamona Timur.

Abstract

The purpose of the studies are to examine significance of the difference in learning outcomes between students group treats by implementation of cooperative learning strategies and conventional learning strategies learning in science physics. In order to obtain the above purpose, quasi experiment was applied to students. The factorial 2x4 with non-equivalent control group design was employed to test mean scores. Based on the data analysis, the findings there was a significant difference on students learning outcome in physics between the class treated by cooperative learning strategies STAD and conventional strategies.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji signifikansi perbedaan hasil belajar IPA Fisika antara kelompok belajar yang diberi perlakuan dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD dan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilakukan penelitian kuasi eksperimen pada siswa. Eksperimen menggunakan rancangan factorial 2 x 4 dengan versi disain faktorial non equivalen control group. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada perolehan belajar IPA fisika antara kelas yang diberi perlakuan dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dengan model STAD dan kelas yang diberi perlakuan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe STAD berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar fisika  siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Tikke Raya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen kuasi dengan equivalent pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tikke Raya. Teknik Sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Proposive Sampling dengan sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen hasil belajar fisika berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi  melalui validitas kontruksi. Tes hasil belajar fisika yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen 17,93 dengan standar deviasi 2,81 dan skor rata-rata kelompok kontrol 16,76 dengan standar deviasi  2,57. Dari hasil analisa data tes akhir diperoleh nilai ttable untuk n=35 pada  taraf nyata  α = 0,05 dan dk = 68 adalah 1,67 dan nilai thitung  adalah 1,82. Hal ini berarti bahwa nilai berada diluar daerah penerimaan  Hasil ini menyatakan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media audio visual dengan kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran langsung. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Tikke Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the understanding of students at SMA Negeri 1 Lore Utara on the concept of changing the state of matter. Subjects and respondents in this study were 29 students of SMA Negeri 1 Lore Utara. The research instrument used was a concept understanding test in the form of multiple choice reasoned accompanied by a level of confidence in answering questions (tree tier test). The test instrument used was 25 number of questions. The test result data is then analyzed to determine the percentage of understanding scientific concepts, misconceptions, and not understanding concepts. Based on the results of the research data analysis, the percentage of the category not understanding the concept of 44.28%, understanding scientific concepts 16.97%, and misconceptions of 38.76%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the understanding of the concept of changing the state of matter in the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lore Utara is still very low.
