Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the implementation of chants in increasing student interest in learning at SDN 64/I Teratai, describing the implementation of games in increasing student interest in learning, and describing the implementation of exercise in increasing student interest in learning at SDN 64/I Teratai. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN 64/I Lotus. Research data sources consist of informants, and documentation. Data collection techniques with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research data analysis includes, 1). Data collection, 2). Organizing or grouping the collected data according to the nature of the existing categories. Data analysis was carried out through four stages including, 1). Data reduction, 2). Data presentation, 3). Verification and conclusion. Meanwhile, checking the validity of the data is done by using the triangulation technique of data sources. The results of this study, are (1) the implementation of yells in increasing student interest in learning at SDN 64/I Teratai, namely using yells when learning in class, yelling is applied when class conditions start to be less conducive. The teacher invites students to sing yells as a distraction. Students can also make chants individually or in groups with a duration of about 3-5 minutes. (2) the implementation of games in increasing student interest in learning at SDN 64/I Teratai is to make learning more interesting and fun, so games can be used that can build children's concentration to be able to think, act, and refocus on the material so that children's interest in learning is more good and easy to digest lessons. (3) the implementation of exercise in increasing student interest in learning at SDN 64/I Teratai, namely in implementing exercise, it is carried out when students look sluggish after sitting for a long time just listening to the explanation of the material that the teacher conveys, then with exercise the blood flow will become smooth again so that the thinking process of students is fresher and more effective. Teachers can creatively use variations of body movements.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of parents in improving early childhood character education in learning activities at SDN 55/1 Sridadi. This research method uses a qualitative case study approach. The data collection technique used an interview with the homeroom teacher of class V. Observations in class V at SDN 55/1 Sridadi and study of documentation such as diaries, and work documented in the classroom. Technical analysis of data by selecting the data that is needed and discarding data that is not needed, then it is presented in a complete and well explained, and concluded and verified the data. The results of this study indicate the role of parents in improving children's character education through learning strategies and methods. At SDN 55/1 Sridadi together with parents and teachers must work together and communicate with each other through diaries or meet directly regarding child development.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe how the strategies that teachers can use to develop the practical value of the fifth principle of Pancasila in the thematic learning process for first grade students at SDN 121/I Muara Singoan. This study uses a qualitative research method where data is obtained from observation, interviews and documentation techniques sourced from teachers, students, principals and parents of students. Then the data were analyzed using the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model, namely reduction, presentation and conclusion. This study has the result that the strategies that have been implemented include the PAIKEM strategy, cooperative learning and inquiry, and various lectures to get students to always read, discuss. Other strategies used by teachers in instilling and developing the practical value of Pancasila, especially the principle of "Social Justice for All Indonesian People" in thematic learning in class I SDN 121/I Muara Singoan, namely: 1) Exemplary / examples prove that the teacher has become an example / good role model. good for students, especially in applying a family attitude, balance between rights and obligations, and working hard. 2) Spontaneous activities such as asking for donations to visit sick friends in order to instill a social care attitude. 3). The reprimand strategy is carried out to remind students who violate Pancasila values and school rules, then carry out personal coaching and do not corner students. 4) The strategy through environmental conditioning can also be seen from the availability of infrastructure that supports the implementation of the Pancasila values attitude. 5). The strategy through routine activities is the integration of Pancasila attitudes in learning tools such as lesson plans, starting from the use of learning strategies and techniques that are routinely carried out every day in the thematic learning process.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how the process of learning mathematics on geometry material is easy to understand, enjoy, and does not make students feel bored with the material so that it can lead students to academic achievement at national and international levels. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles in learning mathematics with geometry material. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are semi-structured interviews, non-participating observations, and documentation studies. The subjects of the study were lecturers of geometry experts, school principals, fifth grade mathematics teachers, and fifth grade students. The results showed that the planning, implementation, and evaluation of mathematics learning for class V gemoteri materials went well, coherently, pleasantly and without obstacles. meaning for both teachers and students.

Abstract

The use of puzzle media can increase students' learning motivation. With this puzzle media, students are more enthusiastic to learn in class. This research was conducted in the third grade of SD Negeri126 /II Tanjung Agung This study aims (1) to describe how the use of puzzle media in motivating student learning, (2) to describe the obstacles faced by teachers in using puzzle media to motivate student learning in Theme 6 subtheme 2 Learning 2nd grade III SD Negeri 126 /II Tanjung Agung. The research subjects were all thirdgrade students of SD Negeri 126 /II Tanjung Agung, totaling 32 students, 13 male students and 19 female students. The data obtained were then processed using qualitative methods with descriptive research types. So that the results can be seen from the learning motivation of each student. Data collection in this study was carried out using observation and interviews, then the data was narrated. From a series of research processes carried out and the results of observations indicate that the teacher provides direction or encouragement to students during the teaching and learning process. The teacher also gives praise and gifts to students who are active in the class. Based on the results of the interviews, it was found that the teacher did not experience problems during the puzzle preparation process carried out by students, because students were very excited when preparing puzzles and the class atmosphere became active so that students were very motivated by the teacher using this puzzle media when the teaching and learning process took place in the classroom. There are some students who have not been motivated by using puzzle media in the teaching and learning process in this lesson, so that the teaching and learning process runs smoothly because students who are not motivated do not disturb their friends who are studying.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media for miniature energy sources of hydroelectric power plants, to determine the validity and practicality of hydropower media. This type of research uses the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation.) This media was developed and then validated by the validator, including the validation of media experts and learning experts. From the results of the validation, the expert team can find out the feasibility level of the product made. After obtaining the results of validation, then the individual trials were carried out and a small group trial was conducted to determine the practicality of learning media for mini energy sources from the 4th grade hydroelectric elementary school. This researcher has produced a product in the form of a miniature PLTA energy source learning media with the theme of always saving energy, sub-themes of energy sources, learning 2, the contents of the competency learning energy class IV SD energy learning. Learning media for PLTA miniature energy sources developed can be used as learning support media, research is expected to be carried out in order to develop a variety of learning media that are more interesting.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the whisper-chain method to listening skills in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools and the factors that influence it. This research is a qualitative research. This research is a literature study, namely research that examines research journals and other sources related to improving listening skills by using the whisper chain method based on the field in the journal article. The data in this study were obtained from research results on the topic of the whisper-chain method in improving listening skills in elementary schools in Indonesia which have been published in various online journals indexed by Google Scholar. The number of journals obtained is 3 research journals that have been selected according to the research topic. Based on the results of a journal review consisting of 3 journals studied in the form of classroom action research and qualitative from 2013 to 2016 it can be concluded that the application of the whisper-chain method for listening skills in Indonesian language learning, that what the teacher did was in accordance with the learning procedures but in terms of material selection is not in accordance with the material characteristics of the chain whisper method. The influencing factors are the objective factor, the students' interest and attention, the condition situation, facilities or infrastructure, the teacher which includes the teacher's educational background and teaching skills.

Abstract

Social studies learning is an effort to apply social science to understand events and symptoms as well as social problems that occur in real life in people's lives so that they become human beings who are sensitive to the environment. Character education seeks to form, realize and instill personality attitudes of noble character and can have positive attitudes. with high humanity in order to build a strong nation. With social studies learning that examines social life, it is necessary to instill character education that needs to be implemented in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas II sekolah dasar serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah guru kelas II dan orang tua siswa kelas II SD Negeri 045/I Sridadi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi/menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 16 orang siswa kelas II SD Negeri 045/I Sridadi ditemukan bahwa 6 orang siswa yaitu JA, AC, MR, AI, DA, dan MN mengalami permasalahan dalam ranah membaca permulaan seperti : (a) belum mampu mengenal huruf, (b) membaca suku kata, (c) membaca kata, (d) membaca kalimat sederhana, dan (e) membaca teks pendek yang mana merupakan tolak ukur siswa dikatakan mampu membaca permulaan. Kemudian kesulitan siswa yang dalam membaca permulaan disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: (a) kurangnya minat belajar, (b) kurangnya percaya diri siswa, (c) pendidikan pra sekolah, dan (d) perhatian dari orang tua.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari penggunaan Bahasa Daerah pada proses pembelajaran bahasa indonesia di kelas rendah yaitu pada kelas II SD Negeri 29/1 Terusan. Penelitian ini menggunkan metode penelitian Uji Reliabilitas dan Validitas. Instrumen penelitian ini digunakan dengan cara tes lisan dengan menggunakan sebuah kata serta kalimat. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian tersebut maka penggunaan Bahasa Daerah pada proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia tersebut menimbulkan hasil yang bagus dan meningkat bagi peserta didik yang dimana peserta didik akan lebih mudah dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan oleh guru sehingga ia lebih bersemangat dalam pembelajaran tersebut. Dengan terbiasanya Berbahasa Daerah atau dengan menguasai Bahasa Nasional akan membuat anak ingin untuk memperkenalkan Bahasa Daerahnya kepada orang lain. Bahasa daerah yang sebagai kearifan lokal adalah bagian dari suatu kekayaan yang dimiliki oleh Indonesia bahwa Bahasa Daerah merupakan Bahasa yang digunakan secara turun temurun oleh warga negara Indonesia di Daerah. Dengan bersandingnya kedua pemakaian bahasa tersebut yaitu Bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerah pada pembelajaran bahasa indonesia tersebut dapat meningkatkan pada proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar.
