Abstract

This study explores the perception of teachers and students at SMKN 1 Boyolali regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in accounting education. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected from three accounting teachers and three students through interviews and observations. The findings show that AI improves data analysis, personalizes learning, and provides instant feedback, aiding students in understanding complex accounting concepts. In addition, AI also contributes to the efficiency of administrative task management and the provision of more interactive teaching materials. However, obstacles such as limited infrastructure, inadequate internet connectivity, and lack of training for teachers and students hinder the optimal use of AI in the learning process. The study underscores the need for improved technology infrastructure, more comprehensive teacher training, and supporting policies that can encourage the effective use of AI in vocational accounting education. Thus, the results of this research are expected to provide insight for stakeholders in designing AI-based learning strategies that are more innovative and relevant to the latest technological developments.

Abstract

The financial management of waste banks plays a crucial role in ensuring their sustainability and accountability. However, many waste banks, including the Langenharjo Waste Bank, face challenges in implementing accounting systems that comply with financial reporting standards. This study aimed to describe the accounting system implementation in Langenharjo Waste Bank and its conformity with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK-EMKM), from its transaction recording system to the final financial statements. This qualitative research applied a case study design with research subjects involving the chairman, the treasurer, and two staff. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation; validated using source and method triangulation; and analyzed using interactive analysis. The results showed that the accounting system implementation in Langenharjo Waste Bank had been conducted regularly and manually in two ways: listing the garbages, the customers and their savings, and the particular journals; and reporting the profit and the loss. The results also indicated that the accounting system implementation at Langenharjo Waste Bank had not conformed with the SAK-EMKM. The main reason was the need for more accounting management knowledge. Some changes needed at the recording stage were making a general journal, completing the classification, and summarizing phases by making ledgers and trial balances. At the reporting stage, it was necessary to prepare the financial position report and notes on financial statements to improve the accounting system at Langenharjo Waste Bank.

Abstract

Academic dishonesty is one of the fraud behaviours in education institutions caused by several factors. This study aimed to determine the influences of the pentagon fraud dimensions (pressure, opportunity, rationalizsation, ability, and arrogance) on academic dishonesty in online Accounting learning at SMK Business and Management in Sukoharjo Regency. This research applied a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative research design. The sample included randomly selected 115 Grade XI students of Accounting and Financial Institutions at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo and SMK Muhammadiyah Watukelir Sukoharjo. The data were collected using questionnaires and analysed using nonparametric statistics with the Kruskal-Wallis test. Based on the results of the Kruskal-Wallis test, the opportunity variable has an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.001, rationalisation of 0.043, ability of 0.006, and arrogance of 0.002. These values are smaller than the significance level of 0.05, so Ha is accepted. While the pressure value of 0.573 is greater than 0.05. The results of the study indicate that academic dishonesty in online Accounting learning at SMK Bisnis dan Manajemen Sukoharjo Regency, when viewed from the Fraud Pentagon dimension, is influenced by the opportunity, rationalisation, ability, and arrogance variables, but is not influenced by the pressure variable. In an effort to lower academic dishonesty, schools should implement stronger controls to minimise the chances of cheating, provide ethics training to combat rationalisation, enhance students' capabilities through study aid, and foster a culture of integrity in order to surmount arrogance.

Abstract

Student learning achievement is one of the leading indicators in evaluating the success of the educational process. At the higher education level, especially efforts to improve student learning achievement are very crucial. When several students are trapped in social media addiction, FOMO, and online game addiction, the learning atmosphere on campus can become less conducive. Class discussions become quiet, and collaboration between friends becomes minimal, negatively impacting academic development. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative causal research type. The variables used are independent and dependent. The independent variables consist of Social Media Addiction, FOMO, and Online Game Addiction. The dependent variable is student learning achievement. The results of the study showed a significance value of the F test of 0.026 <0.05; it can be concluded that the variables consisting of social media addiction, FOMO, and online game addiction simultaneously significantly affect student learning achievement. The results of the study concluded that there is a substantial influence between social media addiction, FOMO, and online game addiction on learning achievement. Partially, students who are addicted to online games can affect learning achievement. Students who are addicted to social media and FOMO may not necessarily affect learning achievement.

Abstract

One of the main problems currently faced is the threat of a food crisis caused by the shrinking of food production land. The core members of the Family Welfare Program (PKK) in Gemolong Village, located in an area rich in various types of food crops, including jackfruit, are addressing this issue. Jackfruit seeds are mostly used by boiling and consuming them personally. The utilization of jackfruit seed waste has not been optimal, even though jackfruit seeds contain high nutritional value. Jackfruit seed waste can be processed into flour. Jackfruit seed flour has the potential to be used as a raw material for various food products, such as bread, cakes, or noodles, providing a solution to reduce organic waste and serve as an alternative food source. The community service method was carried out through a combination of lectures and practical assistance in processing jackfruit seed waste into flour and products such as noodles and lidah kucing cookies. The activities were conducted over two days in March 2024. The participants were 20 women from the PKK in Gemolong Village. The training was successful and had a positive impact on the participants. The activities increased the knowledge and skills of the PKK women in processing jackfruit seeds into flour, which was then used to create economically valuable food products like noodles and lidah kucing cookies, providing an alternative solution to address the food crisis.
