Abstract

Losing a parent due to death is a meaningful event and has a profound impact on adolescents. It often creates a sense of sadness, loss and ongoing trauma. The role of parents is very important in supporting the developmental stages of adolescents. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to evaluate the influence and relationship between social support and resilience in adolescents after the death of a parent. The data for analysis is obtained through Google Scholar, accessed through Publish or Perish (Pop) using the keywords "social support" "resilience" and "adolescents after the death of a parent" resulting in 6 sources of journal articles and scientific papers that are worthy and in accordance with the research topic for further analysis. The results of the literature analysis show that social support has a positive contribution to resilience in adolescents who experience the loss of a parent due to death. Forms of social support that play a role in increasing resilience in adolescents include support from family and peers which are formed through emotional support and their direct presence in accompanying adolescents during difficult times after the death of their parents. This study confirms that the greater the social support received, the higher the level of resilience of adolescents in adapting, continuing self-development and facing life with optimism after the death of parent and better mentalityKeywords - Adolescents, Death of Parents, Social support, Resilience.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate previous findings regarding the correlation of social support in reducing depression and anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: The method used is the Prefered reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) on 16 primary research journals which were analyzed based on the number of participants (N) of 14.945 and the correlation between variables (r)Results: The results show that the effect size value of social support on depression is -0.40 (95%CI -0.466, -0.287 and p = 0.0) with I2 = 96.2%. While the value of the effect size of social support on anxiety is -0.26 (95%CI -0.33, -0.174 and p = 0.0) with I2 = 94.4%. Based on these findings, social support has a negative correlation to depression and shows a large effect size. Then, social support has negative correlation to anxiety and shows medium effect size. The negative correlation between social support for depression and anxiety shows that when social support increases, depression and anxiety will decrease. Social support can be used to reduce depression and anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Analysis of the data used through the Nvivo program The findings in this study are: 1) The bapukung tradition is the urang Bahari tradition (in the past), putting the child to sleep in a seated position, covered with a swing cloth, tied and rocked with the aim of overcoming a fussy child, regulating the child's sleep pattern, sleeping peacefully and For a long time, the child is safe as in a hug and comfort. The bapukung process is accompanied by a touch of love, hums of tauhid sentences, prayers, and advice, all recorded in the child's memory; 2) Children benefit from warm bodies, strong necks, backbones, and healthy bodies free of coughs, runny noses, and shortness of breath, while caregivers benefit from being able to work while being busy, not stressed, comfortable, and calm in parenting. Abstract

Loneliness can trigger many problems such as social media addiction, online bullying and phubbing. Even if often ignored can trigger self-harm behavior and give rise to suicidal ideation. Many factors can influence loneliness, including one of them (which is indirectly) self-esteem. Several studies show positive and negative correlation results, some even show that self-esteem does not affect loneliness. This meta-analysis aims to see the precision value between self-esteem and loneliness, using previous research data with a larger sample size to reduce bias in the analysis, through the process of correcting sampling errors and measurement errors, so that the precision value of the correlation coefficient is obtained. The research data comes from the publication of articles over the past 10 years (2012-2022), with a sample of 21 articles that meet the criteria, originating from Google Scholar, PubMed, Pro-Quest, Springerlink, Garuda through keyword searches related to loneliness and self-esteem. The overall results of this study show a correlation coefficient of -0.61 which means that someone with high self-esteem rarely feels lonely. The sampling error and measurement error of this study were small (3.08%). The sample was divided into 3 main parts, namely students, college students, and elderly. The strongest correlation was found in the student sample (-0.76). Further research should pay attention to how the distribution of countries and variable factors other than self-esteem.

Abstract

A systematic review on promoting forgiveness in addressing victimization analyzed 36 studies selected from 72 articles retrieved from the Scopus database spanning the years 2004 to 2023. Included articles were required to be in English, present at least an abstract, not be review articles themselves, and focus on forgiveness among victims of bullying. Critical factors influencing forgiveness identified in the literature encompass the nature of bullying, the presence of justice and punishment, empathy, timing of interventions, personal beliefs, and cognitive processes. Age-related differences also emerged as significant, necessitating tailored approaches for children, adolescents, and adults. Proposed strategies include implementing restorative justice initiatives for children, employing avoidance strategies for adolescents, and recognizing the religious dimensions for adults. Integrating forgiveness-oriented programs in educational settings, parenting practices, and workplace training is essential for shifting victims' negative perceptions toward positive outcomes. Keyword: Forgiveness; bullying; review.

Abstract

Previous research has investigated how religious commitment relates to mental health and well-being through correlational studies and latent variable models. However, few studies have employed a network analysis approach to examine the reciprocal interactions among these variables. Consequently, this study utilizes network analysis to assess the connections between religious commitment, mental health, and well-being among Muslims in Indonesia, refers to data from the fifth Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS 5) carried out in 2014-2015. For our analysis, we focused on the Muslim population and included only those who identified as Muslim. With this criteria, we obtained a total sample of 28,392 individuals. EBICglasso network model display node religiosity (religious commitment) had a direct negative association with restless (mental health problem), effort (mental health problem), and trouble (mental health problem) and had a direct positive association with life satisfaction (well-being), happiness (well-being), and lonely (mental health problem). on the other hand, node prayer (religious commitment) had a direct negative association with lonely (mental health problem) and had a direct positive association with economic status (well-being), health status (well-being), and fearful (mental health problem). Nodes pengajian (religious commitment) had a direct negative association with trouble (mental health problem) and had a direct positive association with effort (mental health problem), and could not (mental health problem). In conclusion, a bidirectional influence between religious commitment, mental health and well-being should be considered.
