Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of learning with problem based learning (PBL) in influencing the character of hard work and student discipline through the material classification of living things. The method used in this study was class VII a number of 25 students in the Nusa Bhakti Junior High School in Depok City as objects in the natural science subject matter classification of living things. Data collection techniques using learning methods and questionnaires / questionnaires. The instrument test uses descriptive analysis, linearity test, homogeneity test and t-paired t-test. The results showed that the value of sig. (2-tailed) is 0.015 <0.05 (α = 5%) that there are differences in students' hard work before and after the use of PBL and sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 <0.05 (α = 5%) ie there are differences in student discipline before and after the use of PBL. Learning with problem based learning (PBL) can improve the character of students' hard work and discipline.

Abstract

Menurut WHO, sekitar 1 dari 3 siswa di seluruh dunia mengalami bentuk tindakan bullying.  Sedangkan di Indonesia, berdasarkan data yang dihimpun oleh KPAI dan FSGI, kasus bullying mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Pada tahun 2022, tercatat sekitar 226 kasus bullying dan pada tahun 2021 sekitar 53 kasus. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa tindakan bullying masih menjadi teror bagi anak-anak di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya edukasi tentang dampak buruk perilaku bullying menjadi salah satu strategi dalam menambah pengetahuan dengan meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai model edukasi yang tepat sebagai upaya pencegahan bullying di lingkungan sekolah guna mengurangi tindakan bullying. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah studi Literature Review dengan melakukan pencarian melalui database seperti, Google Scholar dan Pubmed dengan membatasi 5 tahun terakhir publikasi yaitu antara 2018 sampai 2023. Dari hasil seleksi yang sesuai kriteria inklusi, didapatkan 10 artikel yang kemudian dilakukan pengkajian. Berdasarkan hasil kajian pada setiap artikel, ditemukan beberapa model edukasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam upaya pencegahan tindakan bullying, seperti teknik Design Thinking, Role Play Management, dan Media Komik dan Video Animasi serta ekstrakulikuler seperti Beladiri. Berdasarkan hasil kajian literatur dapat disimpulkan bahwa pencegahan bullying di lingkungan sekolah dapat dilakukan mulai dari pemetaan dan perencanaan model edukasi yang tepat sebagai upaya preventif. Hal itu dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang dampak negatif dari tindakan bullying dan menurunkan angka kasus tindak kekerasan di sekolah.

Abstract

The era of globalization brings new challenges and problems that require innovative solutions. Thus, 21st century education requires students to have higher order thinking skills, one of the learning models for developing these skills is Project Based Learning (PjBL) and ecoliteracy. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using Project Based Learning (PjBL) and ecoliteracy learning models separately and together on students' higher order thinking skills. This research is quantitative research with quasi-experiment type. Data collection techniques in this study used ecoliteracy questionnaire instruments and higher order thinking skills tests, as well as observation sheets to observe the implementation of the learning model. As for data analysis, this study used descriptive statistical techniques, tested analytical requirements such as normality and homogeneity tests, and applied inferential statistical analysis with two-way Anava. The results showed that Project Based Learning and ecoliteracy together had a significant positive impact on students' higher order thinking skills. This indicates that the use of Project Based Learning and ecoliteracy is more effective in improving students' higher order thinking skills when compared to using only Project Based Learning or learning models alone.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of implementing Instructional Design and Teaching Module devices in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) education, in line with the Merdeka Curriculum, on environmental literacy in primary schools. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Integrated Environmental Education IPAS Instructional Design and IPAS Teaching Module in IPAS learning on students' environmental literacy at the primary school level. The research method employs an ex post facto approach to identify and analyze the influence of these variables after implementation, without direct intervention in the learning situation. The results show that both instructional devices significantly contribute to students' environmental literacy. Students' environmental literacy learning outcomes in IPAS education using the Integrated Environmental Education IPAS Instructional Design (average score of 80) are better compared to IPAS Teaching Module (69). In conclusion, the research findings indicate that Integrated Environmental Education IPAS Instructional Design significantly positively influences the improvement of students' environmental literacy compared to IPAS Teaching Module.

Abstract

Education is crucial in shaping a nation's future, especially in the era of globalization and information technology. Higher education, however, faces complexities such as unequal access and a lack of transparency, necessitating effective solutions. This research focuses on the pressing need for implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) to improve the efficiency and quality of learning. The research aims to identify factors influencing the effectiveness of LMS usage in higher education. It analyzes student participation, engagement levels in learning materials, and their impact on learning outcomes. The study contributes to understanding the dynamics of LMS usage, laying the groundwork for enhancements in the higher education environment. Qualitatively descriptive, the research centers on students at Darwan Ali University to provide a holistic overview of LMS adoption in higher education. Through purposive sampling, the main population includes students from Darwan Ali University, ensuring comprehensive representation. Data collection employs questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires explore students' perceptions and experiences with LMS, while interviews provide in-depth insights. Confidentiality and data integrity are maintained during the distribution of questionnaires and interviews with students. Data analysis takes a qualitative, descriptive approach, identifying patterns, findings, and relationships among variables from questionnaires and interviews. Despite a preference for conventional methods, students at Darwan Ali University have integrated LMS into their learning, overcoming difficulties for an overall improvement in learning outcomes. The research highlights student acceptance of LMS, challenges faced, and positive impacts on learning outcomes. Privacy and data security concerns emphasize the need for attention to enhance user trust in online learning technology. Anticipated to contribute significantly, this research provides insights into LMS dynamics in higher education. It forms the basis for future improvements, aiming to create a more effective and secure online learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the teacher's role in developing naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative case study approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The primary data for this study were school teachers, students, grade 1 teachers, grade 3 teachers, grade 5 teachers, grade 6 teachers, and grade IV science teachers. The results of the study show that the teacher has a very important role in the development of naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. Teachers use learning methods that focus on observation, experimentation, and hands-on experience to help students understand scientific concepts and build naturalist skills. In addition, teachers also provide opportunities for students to develop their interests and talents in natural sciences through activities such as environmental observations, school gardens, and simple research. This study shows that the teacher's role is very important in the development of naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. In developing naturalist intelligence, teachers must be able to identify the needs and interests of students and choose appropriate learning methods. In addition, teachers must also help students develop naturalist skills through activities that are relevant to their context and environment. This research can be a reference for teachers and schools in developing science learning that is effective and oriented towards developing students' naturalist intelligence.

Abstract

Penduduk dunia saat ini mengalami pertambahan usia yang signifikan, termasuk di Indonesia. Pertambahan usia ini juga diikuti dengan bertambahnya jumlah kelompok lanjut usia (lansia) di masyarakat. Dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk lanjut usia yang semakin signifikan di Jakarta, penting untuk merancang pengembangan layanan lansia dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan mereka sejalan dengan perubahan metabolisme tubuh yang menurun. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan keamanan secara fisik maupun psikologis bagi lansia. Salah satu tantangan kesehatan yang sering dihadapi oleh kelompok ini adalah masalah demensia dan penyakit lainnya yang mempengaruhi kemampuan kognitif dan fungsi otak. Demensia adalah suatu kondisi penyakit yang memengaruhi fungsi otak dan secara perlahan-lahan merusak kemampuan seseorang dalam berpikir. Diagnosa demensia dapat dilakukan melalui evaluasi kesehatan mental menggunakan Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), serta melibatkan penyuluhan, pemeriksaan kesehatan, dan latihan otak.  Pada analisis didapatkan hasil 24 responden (60%) yang definite gangguan kognitif (berat),11 responden (27,5%) probable gangguan kognitif (sedang) dan 5 responden (12,5%) dengan hasil fungsi kognitif normal. Nilai tersebut dikategorikan berdasarkan total skor jawabab yang di dapatkan saat pengisian kuisioner Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwamayoritar lansia mempunyai gangguan kognitif yang berat (Demensia)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher competence, work discipline, and job satisfaction on the job performance of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in Salam and Mungkid Districts. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 SMK teachers in both districts. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression to determine the extent of the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on teacher job performance. Likewise, work discipline and job satisfaction also have a positive and significant impact on teacher job performance. Simultaneously, these three variables significantly contribute to improving teacher job performance. These findings indicate that to enhance teacher job performance, continuous efforts are needed to improve teacher competence through training and professional development, strengthen work discipline, and increase job satisfaction through incentives and a conducive work environment. This study provides practical implications for SMK administrators and educational policymakers in formulating strategies to improve teacher job performance. Additionally, this study contributes theoretically to enriching the literature on factors influencing teacher job performance, particularly in the context of vocational education in Indonesia. Abstract

The 2021 military coup in Myanmar precipitated a collapse in state governance, creating a vacuum often assumed to be the primary driver of organized crime. However, the rapid expansion of Yatai New City in Myawaddy suggests a more complex dynamic. This study investigates the political economy of the Yatai New City, specifically the interaction between foreign investors, the Karen Border Guard Forces (BGF), and the Military Junta. Employing the State–Crime Nexus framework and a qualitative approach based on source triangulation, this research challenges the "ungoverned space" narrative. The findings reveal that the persistence of the cyber-fraud industry in Yatai is not a symptom of state absence but the result of a symbiotic ecosystem. In this arrangement, the BGF provides security and logistical infrastructure, foreign investors supply capital and technology, and the Junta grants structural impunity in exchange for political loyalty and economic survival amidst international sanctions. This study concludes that the "scam state" formation in Myanmar represents a strategic adaptation of authoritarian power, implying that international interventions must target the political-economic alliances sustaining these operations rather than treating them solely as law enforcement issues.

Abstract

Dual-role conflict in married career women disrupts the continuity of home and office work, reducing performance at work and reducing family harmony. The purpose of this study is to examine the form of dual-role conflict experienced by working housewives with the demands of fulfilling the family economy and the strategies they use to overcome these conflicts. The research method used is systematic review research. The sources of data in this study are scientific articles, theses, theses and conference publications which have the topic of dual role conflict in women who work as government employees and teachers which were published in the last 10 years from 2013–2023. Data analysis using content analysis techniques. Based on this research, the forms of role conflict that often occur are conflicts based on time, tension, and behavior, and the resolution strategies carried out are time management, family management, and self-management.
