Abstract

Pengembangan e-learning melalui aplikasi educate pada materi gerak parabola ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media yang ditinjau dari segi validitas dan kepraktisan media. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi validasi ahli, praktikalitas guru dan praktikalitas siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh validitas media e-learning melalui aplikasi educate pada materi gerak parabola yang dilihat dari nilai rerata para ahli 3,3, sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan valid. Kemudian, hasil praktikalitas media e-learning melalui aplikasi educate pada materi gerak parabola oleh guru 3,43 (sangat praktis) dan oleh siswa 3,76 (sangat praktis), sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan sangat praktis. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media e-learning melalui aplikasi educate pada materi gerak parabola ini layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik SMA/MA karena telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan kepraktisan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA dalam pembelajaran dengan metode eksperimen dan mengetahui dampak positif program pengembangan kompetensi guru dalam melaksanakan inkuiri eksperimen IPA bagi guru dalam kelompok MGMP IPA Rayon 1 Pelalawan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode simulasi/pemodelan, latihan, diskusi, dan real teaching. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA terhadap pengelolaan eksperimen. Dengan adanya peningkatan tersebut, maka metode eksperimen dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Thermodynamics material is abstract material that causes misconceptions. Misconceptions are caused by several things, one of which is the use of learning media that has not been maximized. The procedure for developing physics e-learning based on discovery learning uses the ADDIE type Instructional Design and only reaches the practicality test stage. The developed e-learning contains attendance, discussion forums, e-modules that guide students to improve their understanding of concepts, learning videos, power points, student worksheets, quizzes, summative assessments, glossaries and references to other relevant reading sources with a validity value of 0.92 with a very valid category, a teacher's practicality value of 95.00 and a student's practicality value of 90.25 with a very practical category. Based on the results of validity and practicality, it can be concluded that physics e-learning based on discovery learning is feasible to use in physics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills/HOTS) siswa kelas XI SMAN 4 Mandau pada topik dinamika rotasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah mixed method dengan subjek 68 siswa dan 4 guru. Instrumen berupa angket, tes kognitif, dan wawancara digunakan untuk menggali persepsi serta kemampuan siswa dan guru terkait HOTS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 71,1% siswa dan seluruh guru menyatakan soal berbasis HOTS sulit diselesaikan. Secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai peniaian harian dan tes kognitif, namun secara deskriptif kategori kemampuab berbeda: sangat tinggi pada penilaian harian dan sedang pada tes kognitif. Kategori kemampuan siswa dalam LOTS, MOTS, dan HOTS masing-masing berada pada kategori sedang, tinggi, dan rendah. Hambatan pembelajaran HOTS meliputi akses modul terbatas, tidakseimbangan kurikulum, dan kurangnya pelatihan HOTS secara konsisten oleh guru. Penelitian ini menyarankan penerapa pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan penggunaan media yang bervariasi agar siswa lebih terlatih dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal berbasis HOTS.

Abstract

Natural Science is an important subject that connects scientific concepts with real-life contexts. However, students’ cognitive learning outcomes at SMPN 45 Pekanbaru remain relatively low due to the application of teaching methods that are not yet optimal and unengaging learning media, particularly in the Solar System topic, which is inherently abstract. This study aims to describe students’ cognitive learning outcomes and to determine the improvement in learning outcomes after the application of a cooperative learning model using the Gallery Walk strategy. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students of SMPN 45 Pekanbaru, comprising four classes with a total of 160 students. The sample was selected using simple random sampling, resulting in two homogeneous classes totalling 80 students. The instrument used was a written cognitive learning test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The results showed that the experimental group recorded a mean score of 81, which fell into the good category, whereas the control group showed a comparatively lower average score. Inferential analysis using the Mann–Whitney test indicated a statistically meaningful difference in students’ cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes (Asymp. Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05). Therefore, the application of the Gallery Walk method has proven to be effective and feasible for improving the cognitive learning outcomes of seventh-grade students on the Solar System topic at SMPN 45 Pekanbaru. These findings suggest that the Gallery Walk method can serve as an alternative instructional strategy for science teachers to enhance students’ cognitive learning outcomes, particularly on abstract topics such as the Solar System.

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-learning media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) with the help of the Edukati platform on static fluid material to train students' critical thinking skills. The problems in this study are the low empowerment of critical thinking skills in physics learning and the lack of learning media that support independent and contextual understanding of concepts. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was conducted by four experts (media expert, subject matter expert, technical expert, and pedagogical expert), and practical testing involved teachers and students from MA Muhajirin Kampar. The e-learning platform is equipped with videos, e-modules, e-worksheets, interactive quizzes, discussion forums, and exams aligned with PBL syntax and critical thinking indicators. The validity results from media, content, technical, and pedagogical experts yielded an average validity score of 3.52, indicating that the developed e-learning platform is highly valid. The responses from teachers and students showed enthusiasm and comfort with the developed media, achieving an average practicality score of 3.62 (very practical) and 3.55 (very practical). Therefore, the PBL-based Fluid Statics e-learning is suitable for enhancing critical thinking skills among high school/MA students in grade XI.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a STEM-based learning medium in the form of an automated car for teaching motion and force concepts as an effort to enhance the Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of junior high school students. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ HOTS in physics learning, limited laboratory facilities, and the continued dominance of conventional teaching methods that provide insufficient meaningful learning experiences. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The product developed was a STEM-based automated car learning media package, complemented by a user guide to support instructional activities. Validation was conducted by media experts and subject-matter experts to assess the feasibility of the product in terms of content accuracy, design quality, and functional performance. Furthermore, practicality testing was carried out through limited trials involving science teachers and junior high school students. The results indicate that the STEM-based automated car learning media achieved a valid level of feasibility and a very high level of practicality. These findings suggest that the developed media is easy to use, engaging, and well aligned with students’ characteristics. Therefore, the STEM-based automated car learning media is suitable for use as an alternative instructional tool to support students’ understanding of motion and force concepts while fostering higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Examining the effects of Choose Number-assisted Quantum Teaching on students' cognitive learning outcomes is the goal of this study. The participants in this research were Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru class IX MTs students. Quasi Experimental Design with Posttest-Only Control Design is the research design used in this type of study. Research tools for cognitive learning outcomes that employ objective assessments. Both inferential analysis and descriptive analysis were used to examine the study's findings. Descriptive analysis revealed that when students used Quantum Teaching with Choose Number support, their average cognitive learning results improved. There was a substantial change in the cognitive learning outcomes of students following the implementation of quantum teaching, despite the fact that the data were inferentially examined using the t-test using independent sample t-test technique.

Abstract

One of method increase ability think level tall that is with application of suitable learning media For competence 21st century one of them is e-learning. E-learning in research This developed with the PBL learning model which consists of above five syntax with objective capable increase HOTS skills and interests Study students . Based on results analysis needs carried out by researchers obtained that 91.5% of students interested For learning with using e-learning. Research This aiming For describe development e-learning physics based on problem based learning , acquiring e-learning physics that is feasible and practical For used in learning physics . Physics e-learning validated by 3 validators using sheet evaluation validity , as well as tested practicality by 3 teachers and 20 participants educate use sheet evaluation practicality . Research results show that e-learning physics based on problem based learning declared very worthy by the validator with mark validation 3.49 for material , 3.51 for media and 3.52 for pedagogy . Besides That based on practicality test results obtained the average value of teacher practicality is 88.00 (very practical) and the average practicality is 88.00 (very practical). student 89.50 (very practical).

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA disekolah masih didominasi dengan metode ceramah, model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi, serta masih rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Untuk itu tujuannya adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e dan berbantuan media phet-simulation. Model learning cycle 5e (Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, dan Evaluation). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi gerak dan gaya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e dan berbantuan media virtual lab. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control design. Sampel penelitian diambil dari dua kelas secara random sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dari populasi peserta didik di kelas VII MTs HubbulWathan Duri. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-tes hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berupa soal objektif 20 soal yang sesuai dengan ranah kognitif C1-C5. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi, dimana memiliki nilai rata-rata 78.2 (baik) daripada kelas kontrol yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 73.6 (baik). Secara inferensial terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, sehingga pembelajaran yang menerapkan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik terutama pada materi gerak dan gaya di kelas VII MTs HubbulWathan Duri.
