Abstract

The Association of Indonesian Life Insurance Companies (AAJI) has encouraged insurance companies to apply environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in their business activities. However, insurance companies in Indonesia generally have not fully implemented sustainability principles in their operational activities due to the uncertainty of increased fi rm values after the implementation. One way to communicate the company's sustainability steps is through the sustainability report (SR), which the Financial Services Authority (OJK) obliged. Although the guidelines had already been prepared in 2021, the depth and breadth of the disclosure depend on each company. Previous studies found that several factors aff ect SR disclosure. This study aims to investigate the role of profi tability and fi rm size as determinants of SR disclosure and the eff ect of SR disclosure on company value. The sample of this study was 15 insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that routinely published SR during the 2021-2023 period. The data was processed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS ver—3 software. The results of this study show that (1) profi tability has a positive eff ect on SR disclosure, (2) company size has a positive eff ect on SR disclosure, and (3) company size has a positive eff ect on company value.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of different types of post-exercise drinks on rehydration in pencak silat athletes. Prolonged exercise in hot environments leads to physiological changes due to depleted glycogen stores and fluid-electrolyte loss through sweat. The aim of this study was to analyze the average difference between the effects of young coconut water (Cocos nucifera) and commercial isotonic drinks on the rehydration process. This experimental research involved dividing subjects into two treatment groups: Group 1 received young coconut water, while Group 2 received a commercially available isotonic drink. Dehydration status was assessed through measurements of body weight, urine pH, and urine specific gravity. Paired t-tests were used to analyze within-group differences before and after treatment, while unpaired t-tests compared differences between groups. The average fluid intake for rehydration was 1062.5 ml. Fluid administration had a significant effect on dehydration status (p < 0.05). A significant increase in urine pH was observed: 1.63 for coconut water and 0.97 for isotonic drinks. These results indicate a difference in the effectiveness of coconut water and isotonic drinks on hydration recovery.

Abstract

Arus globalisasi kini sedang meningkat di seluruh dunia, fenomena ini juga memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kehidupan manusia saat ini. Arus globalisasi ini membawa beragam produk mulai dari teknologi yang semakin canggih, perubahan budaya dalam satu negara, bahkan hingga perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan pendekatan mengajar yang semakin inovatif dan modern. Jadi, globalisasi ini memiliki banyak sekali dampak positif dan negatif yang tentu saja harus kita perhatikan adalah dampak positifnya. Namun, masih ada saja manusia-manusia yang terjebak dalam arus globalisasi ini dan menuju ke jalan yang salah. Sebagian besar yang terdampar dalam aliran globalisasi ini merupakan anak-anak dan remaja di era ini. Peran pendidikan memegang peranan yang sangat penting untuk keberlanjutan dan menjaga diri manusia dari dampak makin kejamnya arus globalisasi. Salah satu hal penting yang bisa ditanamkan, terutama kepada anak-anak di Sekolah Dasar, adalah pendidikan mengenai nilai-nilai Pancasila. Di mana peran Pancasila ini berupaya untuk memberitahukan nilai-nilai terbaik yang harus dipatuhi dan melindungi diri dari dampak negatif globalisasi yang semakin tidak terbendung. Disebabkan peran Pancasila sebagai benteng melawan pengaruh arus globalisasi, pembangunan semangat kebangsaan di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar adalah sangat penting untuk memastikan anak-anak memahami pentingnya mencintai tanah air. Oleh karena itu, peran Pancasila serta pembangunan rasa nasionalisme pada era globalisasi ini sangatlah krusial bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini perlu ditanamkan sedini mungkin agar generasi berikutnya dapat menjaga pergaulan di tengah arus globalisasi.

Abstract

Wisatawan Pantai Palangpang merasa pengelolaan pantai kurang baik meliputi kebersihan pantai yang buruk, toilet yang terbatas, jalan yang ditempuh cukup jauh dengan kurangnya penerangan, dan pengelolaan pantai yang belum baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi asosiatif dan kuantitatif untuk menguji bagaimana persepsi dan preferensi wisatawan memengaruhi pengelolaan Pantai Palangpang. Kuesioner diberikan kepada 100 responden yang pernah mengunjungi Pantai Palangpang pada tahun 2022–2024. Validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, koefisien korelasi, koefisien determinasi, regresi linier berganda, uji F, dan uji T digunakan untuk analisis data. Penelitian ini menolak Ho dan menerima H1, yang menunjukkan bahwa persepsi wisatawan individu memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap pengelolaan objek wisata (nilai-p 0,001, nilai-t 0,05). Menerima H2 dan menolak Ho, preferensi wisatawan individu memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengelolaan objek wisata (0,002, t 0,05). Semua variabel independen, termasuk persepsi dan preferensi pengunjung, memiliki dampak bersama terhadap variabel pengelolaan Pantai Palangpang, yang menunjukkan H3 diterima pada 0,001 dan Signifikansi F 0,05.

Abstract

As the demands for quality service in the digital era increase, strategic companies such as PT. PLN (Persero) utilize Contact Center 123 as the front line of communication with customers. The background of the success of other digital innovations such as the PLN Mobile application which has been proven to significantly increase customer satisfaction, emphasizes the urgency of continuous evaluation of all service channels. This study aims to measure the level of customer satisfaction with the PLN 123 Contact Center service and provide strategic recommendations for improving quality in the future. The method used is a comprehensive analysis with the PIECES framework, which evaluates six dimensions: Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The results of the study showed very satisfactory system performance, with all dimensions achieving a level of conformity above 90%. The Control aspect obtained the highest score (94.81%), while the Efficiency aspect was recorded as the lowest (90.26%). Although the overall performance was very good, these findings indicate that there is clear room for improvement in the efficiency area to improve the customer experience.

Abstract

Universities are responsible for producing quality graduates and reducing dropout rates (DO), a serious challenge for the Widuri Institute of Social and Technology (ISTEK). This phenomenon has a negative impact on the quality of education and accreditation, making early identification of students who have the potential to drop out (DO) very crucial. This study aims to apply the Naïve Bayes algorithm to predict the potential for dropout (DO) of ISTEK Widuri students based on data on the activities of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 intakes. Naïve Bayes has proven effective in classifying students at risk of dropping out (DO). The Semester Credit Unit (SKS) attribute is the most dominant indicator, students with low SKS have a high potential for dropping out (DO). Model performance varies for each batch, in the 2021 batch it reached 90% accuracy (100% DO precision, 40% recall), the 2022 batch showed 93.75% accuracy (100% DO precision, 60% DO recall), and the 2023 batch had 86.67% accuracy (100% DO precision, 33.33% DO recall). This model is very good at validating students who are safe from DO (100% recall of Not DO in all batches). Even so, the model still needs to be improved so that it can find all students who are at risk of dropping out (DO) as a whole. The prediction results for students with the potential for DO at ISTEK Widuri Jakarta are expected to support more optimal prevention efforts and contribute to improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Cathodic protection is one of the methods used to protect metals from corrosion. This corrosion can occur due to the influence of the surrounding environment, such as salinity levels. ICCP PV is a cathodic protection method by flows direct electric current from the conversion of solar radiation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of water salinity on the capacity of PV components in the ICCP system. The type of material used in this research is SS 400 steel with salinity variations of 0‰, 30‰, and 35‰. The tests carried out are salinity test and load power test by considering metal potential. The experimental results show that 35‰ salinity ICCP requires the highest power of 13.09 watts. Calculation of PV component capacity at 35‰ salinity ICCP requires the largest capacity, which is 170 Wp PV module and 75 Ah battery for 14.68 m² plate area. Based on this, it is concluded that the higher the salinity of water, the greater the power required for the ICCP system, thus affecting the capacity of PV components for the ICCP system.

Abstract

Load feedback merupakan sinyal analog yang merepresentasikan daya aktif aktual dari generator, yang dikirimkan ke sistem kontrol mesin sebagai umpan balik untuk dibandingkan dengan nilai load reference. Dalam sistem pembakaran lean burn, perubahan skala load feedback berpotensi mempengaruhi air-fuel ratio (AFR) yang telah diprogram dalam peta AFR sehingga berdampak terhadap performa mesin. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi skala load feedback terhadap performa mesin gas W20V34SG. Pengujian dilakukan pada tiga tingkat beban generator (50%, 75% dan 88%) dengan tiga skala modifikasi load feedback (+1%, +3% dan +5%). Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi mean effective pressure (MEP), break mean effective pressure (BMEP), air excess coefficient (λ) dan efisiensi termal mesin (ηth), secara pengecekan terhadap zona aman operasi pada diagram lean burn combustion. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan skala load feedback hingga 5% pada beban 88% menghasilkan peningkatan efisiensi termal dari 39.31% menjadi 39.67%, peningkatan BMEP dari 1975.36 kPa menjadi 1992.84 kPa, dan penurunan λ dari 2.28 menjadi 2.1, tanpa melampaui batas aman operasi mesin.

Abstract

Perkebunan sawit merupakan salah satu bisnis yang diminati oleh industri baik di dalam maupun luar negeri. Perkebunan sawit di Indonesia dengan lahan yang sangat luas merupakan sumber pendapatan negara yang potensial. Namun, proses monitoring menjadi tantangan tersendiri jika dilakukan secara manual. Oleh karena itu diperlukan terobosan inovasi agar proses monitoring dapat dilakukan secara efisien namun tetap akurat. Teknologi penginderaan jauh dapat diterapkan sebagai solusi. Dengan menggunakan Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) citra perkebunan dapat direkam. Selanjutnya dengan implementasi pengolahan citra digital dan kecerdasan buatan, citra dapat dimanfaatkan untuk melakukan monitoring berdasarkan warna dari pohon sawit. Tahap pertama yang diperlukan dalam akuisisi data untuk berbagai keperluan monitoring adalah deteksi pokok pohon sawit secara automatis. Pada penelitian ini didemonstrasikan penggunaan metode Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) dengan arsitektur ResNet-34 dan ResNet-50 untuk membangun model deteksi pokok pohon sawit dari citra UAV perkebunan sawit PTPN IV. Tujuan deteksi pokok pohon adalah untuk melakukan analisis lanjutan terkait kondisi pohon sawit seperti status nutrisi, kesiapan panen dan indikasi adanya serangan penyakit. Model ResNet yang telah dilatih berhasil melakukan proses deteksi pokok pohon sawit secara automatis dengan akurasi training sebesar 84% dan akurasi testing rata-rata sebesar 71%. Metode deteksi diterapkan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak sistem informasi geografis. AbstractOil palm plantations are one of the businesses that are in demand by both local and international industries. Oil palm plantations in Indonesia with very large lands are a very potential source of income for the country. However, the monitoring process related to disease attack and nutritional status becomes a challenge if it is done manually. Therefore, innovation breakthroughs are needed so that the monitoring process can be carried out efficiently but still accurately. Remote sensing technology can be applied as a solution. By using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) plantation images can be recorded. Furthermore, with the implementation of digital image processing and artificial intelligence, the image can be used to monitor based on the color of the palm tree. The first step needed in image processing for various monitoring purposes is the automatic detection of oil palm trees. This study demonstrates the use of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method with the ResNet-34 and ResNet-50 architectures to build a palm tree principal detection model from UAV images of PTPN IV oil palm plantations. The purpose of tree detection is to carry out further analysis related to the condition of oil palm trees such as nutritional status, harvest readiness and indications of disease attacks.. The ResNet model that has been trained has successfully carried out the process of detecting oil palm trees automatically with training accuracy of 84%, testing accuracy of 73% and 69%. The detection method is applied using geographic information system software.

Abstract

Karakteristik Deep-v planing hull sangat dipengaruhi oleh bentuk dan kecepatan kapal. Bentuk pada haluan kapal akan mempengaruhi performance kapal pada saat kondisi air tenang dan gelombang. Semakin tinggi kecepatan kapal maka akan semakin sulit untuk memprediksi karakteristik kapal tersebut. Pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan Computational Fluid dynamic (CFD) dengan menggunakan metode moving grid mesh untuk mengevaluasi karakteristik kapal pada saat kondisi air tenang dan gelombang regular. Perhitungan numerik menggunakan persamaan RANS (Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes) dengan model turbulensi k-ε untuk memprediksi aliran turbulen. Hasil simulasi pada kondisi air tenang hambatan menunjukkan trend yang baik pada kecepatan rendah, sementara pada kecepatan tinggi ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Pada kondisi gelombang regular hasil simulasi numerik masih perlu pendekatan yang lebih baik.
