Abstract

This study explores the role of humanistic leadership among school principals in fostering effective collaboration with parents through collaborative problem-solving in Islamic-based schools in East Java. Employing a qualitative approach that involves interviews, observations, and documentation, this research integrates servant leadership principles with Islamic educational values, such as trust, justice, and communal benefit. The study reveals that principals who adopt a humanistic leadership style promote inclusive communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making with parents, thereby enhancing student motivation, academic performance, and socio-emotional development. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of bibliometric analysis to map current research trends on humanistic leadership in Madrasah Aliyah, identifying key themes, gaps, and underexplored collaborative strategies involving school stakeholders. It uniquely combines theoretical insights from servant leadership and Islamic education with empirical findings from local contexts in East Java, offering a culturally grounded model for inclusive school governance. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of ethical leadership in Islamic education, encouraging school leaders to foster stronger, value-based partnerships with families to enhance educational quality.

Manado's Muslim minority mindset stops social, political, and religious activities. Although Islam is the second-largest religion after Protestantism, this mindset can be seen by the impression that Manado is a 'Christian City' known as the “Tower of a Thousand Churches.” This article describes the strategy of minority religious leaders (Islam) in tolerating the perspective of Maqasid al-Syari'ah. The research data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with religious leaders from the Islamic boarding school Kiai, IAIN Manado lecturers, and Muslim youth. The research findings show that first, the values of religious tolerance in Manado have developed in the form of slogans, such as "Torang Samua Basudara," " Torang Samua Ciptaan Tuhan, "and "Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou," second, the strategy of Islamic religious leaders in maintaining tolerance through (1) mutual respect for beliefs, (2) fighting for religious teachers and places of worship (mushola) in public schools, (3) creating dialogue forums between religious communities, (4) enlivening Islamic syi'ar, such as majlis taklim, the graduation ceremony for students from all over North Sulawesi, and (5) halal certification. This finding has implications for the Maqasidi type for religious minority leaders in tolerance to protect Muslims' faith.

Abstract

Curriculum and learning organization is one of the key components in the education system that functions as a guideline in compiling, presenting, and implementing teaching materials in a structured manner. This study discusses in depth the concept of curriculum organization, its main objectives, various types of curriculum organizations such as subject curriculum, correlated curriculum, and integrated curriculum, as well as the steps in selecting and determining the right curriculum content. Abstract

This article aims to analyze the Islamic education system and policy on the use of BOS funds. This study uses a literature study method with a systematic approach to identify and analyze relevant sources related to the research focus. The data source is taken from scientific journals, books, and academic publications published in the last 10 years, using an online database, namely Google Scholar. The collected data is analyzed qualitatively to identify the main themes and trends in related research. The results of the analysis show that the use of BOS funds is intended for all routine school operating costs, while construction costs do not come from BOS. Abuse in the management of BOS funds is found in several regions, the most frequent cases are the inflating of the number of students, misuse of funds, and even falsification of data and news which often include newspapers about the misappropriation of BOS funds. This can also be triggered by the current system, weak supervision and lack of community participation, thus causing the purpose of the BOS subsidy itself to be less and tend to reduce its usefulness. For this reason, preventive actions are needed from every institution and element of this nation for the progress and effective management of BOS funds
