Abstract

Primary education lays the foundation for students' social, family and academic environments, creating key moments in the development of a child's personality. Primary education also promotes positive morals and develops students' skills. They quickly develop developmental traits, needs and functions. Activities that support learning in primary schools include creating a healthy learning environment. Teachers who have extensive subject matter knowledge to see and understand students should contribute to creating a healthy learning environment. The teacher in question is also called a guidance and counseling teacher, or school counselor. School counselors and mentors are essential as they help students grow throughout their lives.

Abstract

Elementary school is a formal educational institution for children that aims to produce optimal development in each individual according to their abilities or potential. In realizing its goals, therefore, it is necessary to have integration by all aspects contained in the world of education and one of them is counseling guidance. The method in this research is a literature study is a research that collects a number of literature in the form of books, journals or magazines related to counseling guidance in elementary schools. Teachers who handle problems for students are class teachers and do not have a specific program in counseling guidance services.

Abstract

The implementation of guidance and counseling (GC) in junior high schools (SMP) has undergone significant changes with the advancement of technology. This article discusses the opportunities and challenges in modern GC, including the accessibility of services through digital platforms, the personalization of data-based programs, and the development of digital literacy for students and teachers. The challenges faced include the need for adequate technological infrastructure, the digital divide among students, and data privacy risks. This study uses a case study method in several junior high schools in Indonesia. The results show that technology can enhance the effectiveness of GC but requires policy support and continuous training. This article provides recommendations for optimizing technology-based GC in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study discusses the managerial skills of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers in the implementation of counseling programs in schools. Managerial skills, effective communication, and in-depth counseling skills are the key aspects analyzed in the context of effective counseling service provision. Collaboration with various parties in the school and the utilization of modern technology are also discussed as improvement factors in the management and accessibility of services. This study utilizes a literature study method or commonly referred to as the literature study method. The results of the study on the managerial skills of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers in the implementation of school counseling programs show that managerial, communication, and counseling skills play an important role in the effectiveness of the BK program. This study reveals that guidance and counseling teachers who have strong managerial skills tend to be able to organize guidance and counseling programs more efficiently, plan activities in accordance with student needs, and manage available resources optimally.

Abstract

This article discusses the values of meaningful life in the Minang Kabau cultural philosophy for junior high school students. The research method used is Literature Review or literature review. Library research or literature review (literature review, literature research) is research that examines or critically reviews knowledge, ideas, or findings contained in a body of academic-oriented literature. The result of the discussion is that the meaningfulness of life is an individual's appreciation of finding something valuable or important for the individual. The philosophy in Minang Kabau culture will lead junior high school students to discover the values of meaningful life. The meaning of life describes what an individual wants, seeks and hopes for, resulting in optimistic, happy, gloomy, depressed or pessimistic behavior regarding life.

Abstract

The guidance and counseling service program is an integrated part of the overall educational program at school. Therefore, the efforts of supervising teachers and the various aspects covered by the program are an inseparable part of all activities directed towards achieving educational goals at the institution concerned. To achieve this maturity, students need help because they still lack understanding or insight about themselves and their environment as well as experience in determining the direction of their lives. This research uses a literature review method where researchers conduct a series of research involving various kinds of information originating from literature such as books, documents, Google Scholar and so on. As a result of this research, this program aims to facilitate students in getting to know themselves and their environment positively, making responsible decisions, as well as developing their potential and achieving their developmental tasks. The BK program is structured based on student needs assessment, school needs, community demands, and student development tasks. The BK program in high school consists of various types of programs such as annual, semester, monthly, weekly and daily programs. The preparation of the guidance and counseling program is based on student needs assessment, taking into account four areas of guidance (personal, social, learning, career) as well as types of supporting services and activities.

Abstract

The global era as a new paradigma implies two main things, namely Internationalization Competition and Internationalization Links. What is needed to answer this global challenge lies in the quality of human resources, where individuals are required to think globally by acting and thinking quickly. What is no less important is the mentality of competing internationally by changing the role from spectator to player. Carrying out guidance and counseling management in accordance with developments in the era of globalization, the quality of human resources or the competency of counselors needs to be increased, sensitive to opportunities and responsive to global challenges and the need for cooperation between counselors and school personnel. The successful implementation of guidance and counseling management in schools cannot be separated from the cooperation of all school personnel. The success of counseling can support the achievement of educational goals for students at school. This research method is literature study. Data collection is carried out through a number of data libraries, recording and managing research materials. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the collaboration carried out by the principal, homeroom teacher and class teacher in implementing guidance and counseling management at school has not been optimal. One of them can be seen from the cooperation of school personnel in providing or receiving input and suggestions, exchanging ideas or discussing openly.

Abstract

Education involves identifying the factors that influence students' learning motivation and assessing the steps that can be taken to improve it. The research method applied is the literature method, where information is collected from various literature sources such as books, scientific reports and journal articles. Desk research was used to gather relevant information from various sources to support the analysis of the concept of learning motivation. The results show that student learning motivation is dynamic and can fluctuate. Therefore, efforts are needed to maintain and increase students' learning motivation. Factors such as ambition, ability, physical and mental conditions, and the learning environment can affect students' learning motivation. Increasing learning motivation can be achieved by stimulating student interest, providing realistic expectations, providing incentives and guiding student behaviour.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of motivation in students' learning process. Motivation is considered a dominant factor in achieving learning outcomes, although intelligence and aptitude also play an important role. This research aims to understand the relationship between motivation and learning outcomes, assuming that highly motivated individuals will achieve better learning outcomes. The research method used is a literature study or literature review. Literature review involves searching various sources such as books, journals and publications related to motivation and learning. Motivation plays an important role in driving and guiding individual behaviour in learning. Motivation can come from extrinsic and intrinsic factors.

Abstract

The role of teachers in achieving successful learning in schools is highly significant. Classroom management is a key issue associated with optimal learning conditions. The discussion covers definitions, scope, objectives, functions, principles, spatial arrangement, and approaches in an educational context. This study employs library research methods to highlight the importance of classroom management in effective learning. The approach to classroom management involves various strategies, from authority to pluralistic approaches, influencing how teachers handle classrooms and student behavior. In conclusion, effective classroom management is crucial in achieving optimal learning objectives.
